We had the sandspeeder 10 years ago as well most battle packs build aren’t canon vehicles either. The GWP is good don’t get me wrong but it would have also made a great set as well my only problem is I don’t know if there is enough LSW I want to meet the threshold. Really that sucks, I wonder what other sets have been cancelled over the years and what we could have had. Maybe they’ll redo that speeder chase sets when they inevitably do a AotC anniversary

The only thing with the droid carrier is it could have been a perfect battle pack as a normal set rather than being tied in as a gwp. I still don’t know if it’s worth spending the amount to get in may. Might just see what kind of prices it goes for on eBay/bricklink and wait for other LSW sets to go on sale

Anniversaries used to mean something but with so much content it is true how far do you go with them? I think honestly they should stick to the anniversaries for LSW maybe just do a special gwp for the films

If I’m being optimistic an MTT. Realistically Januarys wave will be a battle pack and maybe another small set. There’s a chance of getting another Ahsoka set and maybe a follow up set for skeleton crew or the acolyte. there’s still so much of 2024 to come not even thinking about 2025 yet

I love when Lego can find like other uses for pieces like this. Like the Rivendell set for LOTR uses ice lolly mold for chairs and the Vikings set uses gold coloured hot dogs

It’s kind of like the eternals sets were out ages before the film came out due to covid

Wasn’t Skelton Crew supposed to come out last year but the writers strike caused the delay? if there wasn’t any issues with the strike I’m pretty sure the show was supposed to come out then we get the ship. I can see it selling badly if they do decide to sell it before it’s aired

Feel like it’ll be more 2025 if we do, IMO this show feels like it’s going to be marmite. People will either love it or hate it Lego might wait to see what kind of reception it gets before deciding to dedicate sets to it. There might be stuff still to come it’s very rare being in April and knowing all the sets for the year

It’s an opinion no one will ever know but I’ve always viewed the way battlepacks have always been marketed is for kids (look at legos promo pics). It’s a set where they can get cool troops at pocket money prices. It’s always personal choice if someone wants to buy 1 or a 1000 of them remember nobody forces anyone to buy any sets if you don’t quite like the figures and designs. Bricklink and eBay exist to buy/get rid of the desirable/undesirable figures from the bp you don’t like. I’ve always felt army building is more for warhammer rather than Lego but for those who do it fair play, must have a lot more disposable income than myself, I never get why all the streamers and YouTubers buy so many bps. I miss the days when we got 4 battle packs a year and they covered all factions. Depending on what it is, clones I prefer the 3 similar and 1 unique but like rebels I prefer 4 different figures completely. It’s the variety that’s key to their success as these days whilst the clones are cool give us some more variety Lego. at least the bp in June can give us a chance to get some beskar imperials and a few new Mandolorians.

My point kind of is they’ve all featured in recent shows/films and would sell really well. The mortar trooper had a few seconds in Mando S2 and managed to appear in a set he wasn’t even in. At this point from the Disney plus shows there is a long list of potential sets and bps we could have from all factions but I think for these night troopers it would be probably better when the filoni film comes out (if it ever does) because at least films most the time get entire waves devoted to them and can free up shelf space in the short term for something else. At this point I’d take any imperial battle pack I’m glad we are getting half of one in June

I’m thinking more along the lines of shoretroopers, purge troopers, incinerator troopers, mudtroopers, ISB agents/officers, some of the imperial soldiers from Andor. Definitely not the standard but any of those please before the night troopers well for me at least All depends on what that droid carrier looks like that is rumoured to be coming of its good I’ll get the March and May sets I want to get it if not I’ll wait for the sales. I mean I have to save up for Barad dur. Don’t even know where I’ll even display that (if my wife even lets me haha) but that’s a different topic. I was hoping the lightsabers would become a theme like the helmets rather than GWPs if the rumour is right for jabbas sail barge

It’s kind of the reason why I’m leaning more against not wanting them in a set. I‘m more desperate for other imperial battlepacks that we could have. the night troopers look cool in the show but they are right at the bottom, back of the queue for any kind of appearance in a set/ battle pack. They’ll just have a black head like the old stormtroopers. Marrok never saw his face and he was the same as the night troopers and just had a black head so the night troopers would be the same. Until they show in the show/films what’s under their helmets what they look like they’ll always just have plain head. i would prefer an LAAT over a location but given how we are in a good year for LSW why not hope for both :) with the Death Star set I had originally hoped we would have less named characters and more generic troopers/officers but if this really is the equivalent to Yavin well then I feel like it’s going the other way and we will have loads of named characters and maybe one/two generic troopers. Don’t know if that’ll be good or bad there’s pros and cons to both just hoping to hear more info soon on all these

What about Yularen? Great chance to get him in his ISB outfit and had a little cameo in Andor. Tarkin tbh is almost certainly going to be in it, I can’t see him not being in it

I wondered if it’s production issues? Seems like the only logical choice. Although I don’t like this drip feeding of sets I prefer the good old days of winter and summer waves I think the post said the sarlaac pit is now $80, C3PO is now 140. The battle of peridia is 55 dark falcon 180 and the skeleton crew 140. I can’t remember what the prices were previously but these were the sets highlighted in the post that are rumoured to have changed

I honestly think it’s because Lego have to cover too much. It’s different to when the clone wars or even when rebels was out there was no other content so you could have waves dedicated to each show but right now we have what 4/5 shows on all with a lot of material that could be converted in sets but what do you sacrifice. Do you stop making the TPM sets we have this years or the OT sets or the dioramas or the helmets they all sell well. New stuff is a risk. Kenobi and BoBF were released as films instead of series we would have had the purge trooper bp or final battle in mos eisley set. At lot of people don’t just buy LSW we buy in other themes Lego will price people out if they put touch out. I do agree that the Disney plus shows have not had the coverage they deserve in terms of Lego sets the only way I could have seen them releasing enough to cover them would have been at the cost of the helmets/ the dioramas all the clone sets we’ve got recently all the OT stuff we’ve had in the past few years. we are blessed to be in times where we have so much content in all platforms (games/tv/films) it might come at the cost of a level of coverage in merchandise and toys that we are used to from the films in the past

Can’t see if anybody has mentioned but apparently the June wave is being released in North America in August while everyone else is still getting it in June. Seen a couple of posts on Reddit about it. Kind of sucks don’t see why they would do that? The same posts say a couple of sets have had a price change as well to what’s been reported some cheaper some more expensive

I’m hoping more for an ETA or something new/ from legends but definitely in a unique colour. For me the colour of it is the most important thing just want something new to give Jedi Bob the fighter he deserves

I saw that looks as expected. Still got the phantom menace pack of brickheadz to be revealed. it’s evening in the U.K. atm so safe to say we aren’t getting April fools leaks again this year

I still think we’ve already got a similar amount of info the equivalent of what the April fools leaks were from last year. Not to say we won’t get more info but feel like we’ll be hearing more about the June wave and the UCS reveal before seeing/hearing exact figure list and descriptions of the August wave

I think the point was more you can have a micro fighter and a system scale fighter out at the same time. We had the mando N1, slave 1, millennium falcon all in recent years having both out at the same time I feel like as we are going to have Rex in the cheapest set possible atm we don’t necessarily need a big y wing. If anything if they are going to do any starfighter from the prequels I’d rather a new arc170

I doubt it’s true they are fake feel like it’s only come from this forum where some of us were wondering if they were fake as a lot of the guys who leaked the summer sets had stopped posting so it’s speculation. April fools last year bought us a lot of reliable info in the end so I expect us to find out more in the next few weeks

So what is this celebration set? My first thoguht before the news today was it was going to be a GWP to go with the sail barge in October. Given the set number it isn’t a normal SW set? I’m intrigued I hope it’s not a gwp as that means I’ll have to potentially hold off getting any August/June sets til then

Honestly if they were going to do an ARF or even like airborne trooper or whatever variant they haven’t got it should have been done in the 501st specialist pack. At this point Lego needs to pick some new legions for P2 armour there is plenty for them to choose from.

Obviously it’d be good for everyone if he did go in the magazine next year or whenever but most people will get the set because he’s in it so it’s a lot better to spend a fiver on a magazine rather than 30 on a set. So for me I’d be gutted because I’d waste 30 for one figure
