[COR-FB] Palm Island Outpost, Port Woodhouse
Jeff of Clubs replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Would ya look at that... I like the elevated platform it's on and how it interacts with the whole base. The whole thing is exquisite, love me some pantile too. The spindling technique on the palms is particularly ingenious. -

[COR-FB] The Scent of Terraversan Pines
Jeff of Clubs replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That's a wonky pine. I like it. Trimming in the base has a nice feel to it. Good stuff all round. Digging those yellow-bellies! -
[Esl-FB] Support for Damaborg
Jeff of Clubs replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great scene! Very active. Nice landscaping and the backdrop is a great idea! If you're fiddling with pant colors, try combining pale sage green jacket with one of the two tan colored legs? I always thought those colors worked good together, especially with some white and red trim color. -

[ESL-FB] Prospecting the rocks around Damaborg
Jeff of Clubs replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Cypress trees?!? Nice work. Convincing cliff face. Fun build though I worry those troops are less for security and more for loss prevention.- 9 replies

[COR-FB] Supplies for Damaborg
Jeff of Clubs replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Good stuff. New settlements can never have enough cannon. -
I just started a few months ago. I assume you want to use the game mechanics so of course, checkout the new player thread and the master index has all the rules. You get one free license, I recommend you license your intro moc as a 'small commerce'. Tou will probably be added to a number of PM groups for your faction soon and they can help provide direction, outside that, feel free to PM me. I've read most pinned topics here at least once but am still new too. The first few months WILL be confusing.

Save them! This is gonna be fun to follow. Very nice moc! The trees are particularly great. Are you in the EGS? If so, you can license that property and start making some monies on it.

[OL-FB-Troop] Provisional Command
Jeff of Clubs replied to Jeff of Clubs's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! It tis the flag of Nouveau Oleandia! Yeah. Still figuring out how to get good photo compression on larger mocs. It took 4hrs just to get that aweful one. It's really annoying to me because I coulda been done with cropping and compression in 5mins on XP 25 yrs ago. Must be some more of that 'progress' I keep hearing tech nits prattle on about. @evancelt Thank you! Once I saw how you were doing the bases, I realized I actually had a decent number of 1×1 and 1×2 plates and that it was just a matter of reorganizing their storage. It's wrapping paper , cats did for my backdrop. I was trying to dodge figuring out another program but yeah, I'd just better go look into Photoshop. I have plenty of hobbies that could benefit from it too. @Justsomebrix Ha thanks. Going for a 'Pirates with Purpose' vibe. A re-commencement of hostilities would be sad but it would also vindicate Marshal Duquesne. @Brickwolf Thank you!
