EDIT - nevermind. ^_^ Lego Crop says they have NOT responded to the issue yet. Or at least they are not done looking into this. I pointed them to the article. Gotta love media over dramatizing things. PS: sorry for the multi ping - Windows is being a turd today.

Buying cheap Chinese knockoffs will bring you pain and misery - guaranteed. My MOC Project (Corellian Transport YT Model (model withheld :P :) ) is going to be 4-6000 pieces easy. I plan to buy "chunks" of parts a month - I suggest you budget accordingly and get parts over time. No one said you had to do it all at once.

Ah....ok.....I hope.

WOW Love it. Very nicely done. Looks just like I imagined from the books. :)

What? 1: The stickers are on single pieces so you can just toss parts them in the lot without worry or concern for damage. 2: These are not the kind of stickers you can remove once placed. If this is the kind of thing that bugs you that much - don't put them on in the first place. I wouldn't call this fatal. But I don't like the response either. I just left a mm gap and its fine. But its not that big of a deal really. Not what I call a deal breaker. As for Lego's view point - I'd like to see a video of them removing the part. :P

Ouu..that might work out then (battlepack). I don't see a reason for a turntable honestly - theirs plenty of room and the legs aren't likely to move often unless your going to pose them at awkward angles.

Just finished - wow - love this set. I am going to change one thing on it - the little "bits" that stick out near the legs are only attached by 1 single stud - which are guaranteed to fall off when you carry the AT-AT - going to change the part out for a pair of 2x2 plates as opposed to the 2x2 center hole plate - it just will not hold otherwise. Why they did it this way is stupid beyond my reasoning. Also doesn't make sense why they only had 2 speeders - when there's room for 4. Prob going to buy parts to add two more speeders :P Aside from that - great set - issues aside - worth it. Every bit. With mine I assembled as instructed - but I let the capped axle stick out by a couple of mm's - tweezers can pull it out.

Cables arrived - the laser cannons blinky blink - not entirely correct in Star Wars Lore terms - but still looks very good. https://www.briksmax.com/products/light-kit-for-a-wing-star-fighter-75276?_pos=3&_sid=ce234f79d&_ss=r Bought my kit off amazon. Seemed to be the best match for what it SHOULD look like. Hope you find this informative. :)

Soo if one was to get a "lot" of snowtroopers - where/what/how much? I'd like to put a platoon in my AT-AT :) Any suggestions?

SB00301 B-PROJECT (MOC Resistance Bomber UCS)

Was more of a "never heard of this" statement lol -
The issue your going to face is there's an extraordinary amount of structure going on. Its a very rigid model - I'm having to desing/plan out LED's for this thing and taking it apart is going to be a nightmare in terms of maintaining stability I don't envy you there. I'm not a fan of the AT-AT's red window either - seems off to me in terms of how they went about it.
-
light my bricks.com is a good place to get parts and pieces for Lego LED lightning. Good quality parts.
-
Very nice - now just need the big shield dish in the background. :)

I used bricksmax on the A-Wing - wasn't terribly easy but it looked great. The AT-AT - none exsist yet- going to custom tailor one out. The A-Wing isn't hooked up at the moment as I had to make room for my Star Destroyers new spot to make room for the Falcon and the AT-AT. Need a hub and cable to power it up (I use USB).
-
Tip : to remove the capped axles to free the main body - double sided 3M Adhesive tape is perfect for the job. I needed to figure this out so I can LED up my AT-AT very soon.
-
The A-Wing is a joy to build - they did a great job - It's also my first LED'ed set as well - look forward to it. I'm on the final box with my AT-AT - already trying to figure out how I'm going to light it up. ^_^

That and they openly admitted (at least to me) they messed up. Will in as so far that QA is reviewing it. For a 7-8000 piece set - they where bound to miss a couple of things that most people wouldn't stop and consider. I for one am very pleased with it thus far.
