  1. I'll have to keep an eye out for it :) The ones I got where supposed to match "cody" - all orange stripping and such - and a variety of weapons - so hopefully Lego will have some nice options.
  2. I keep having this "argument" internally with myself...and I still fail to justify the need for being able to literally disassemble this part bit by bit - whereas worst case would be just a small part of the model. :P
  3. Gorgeous!
  4. I'd love to pick your brains for a project I'm working on. Mind if I PM you what I'm working on? :) Or feel free to PM me. And trust me when I say this...I've lost 4-5 hours of work of "going back to drawing board" - I just HAD to pick "that ship" lol
  5. Clever - was thinking along the same lines last night - but I was also trying to avoid damage so I was hesitant to bring it up. I've had to deal with nasty situations as I tend to LED kit my models so I'm quite familiar with the hazards.
  6. Strange they limited US/CDN? to 1 here at least initially....scalpers are kind of "everywhere" no matter country/region. I also did not know about the lightsaber - was too busy in a mad dash to get the AT-AT - bonus! :)
  7. Pinged you with a PM. :) Love your designs btw.
  8. The one I'm designing out hasn't been done yet - not in UCS style - and yet there's a niche who request it. (which warms my heart) Trying to keep it semi-hush hush as I'd like to be considered one of the first to do this - dreamed about making this thing real for years and years. I'm starting to see why - 2 days in and many hours of blood and sweat designing this thing - but I'm getting there. Would be nice to poke people for ideas/suggestions - technique - studio expertise (software) Kind of new to this thing so forgive the weirdness. Talking scale of the Millennium Falcon #75192 in terms of what I'm doing. Anyone willing to help me out in the spirit of excitement?
  9. Lego.com shows "out of stock" here - pretty much predicted this. :) Here's hoping you guys got your AT-AT's
  10. MOC's are dependent on style/taste. The big kicker however for me - is cost. As an example - I love the TIE Defender - Lego's version - frankly - is crap. I found one that was gloriously built - UCS style - much like the UCS TIE Fighter that Lego produced in terms of quality/scale. 1-1.5k USD.....yeah. (rare parts) *cries on the inside*
  11. For your viewing pleasure. The Laser cannons blink green - camera didn't catch it in time. The clone troopers are some Chinese knock off I bought off Ebay but for display purposes (minus the one that came with it) - worked out nicely. And yes Mace Windu's Lightsabre is Mutha-fin lit. :) Light kit is from Light my bricks.com - I highly recommend the kit - turned out nicely. (Be warned it won't sit flat without the stand but it looks better on stand anyway)
  12. I Get that.....but drama is right. Even in terms of disassembly its not that bad.
  13. I love mine - I installed LED's and got some clone troopers for it. It's a big boy tho - wide - and beware of its back side being heavy ended. My only gripe is they should have made the wing turrets more turret and less "bubble" - but they did a great job overall.
  14. Or not use the green pipe saving you the trouble of using other parts?
  15. Then don't include the green pipe - if its that big of a deal to you to being able to disassemble.
  16. Where does he state its impossible? All I see is " See step 131 of the first booklet. There is no way you can get this axle out!!! " EDIT: ok maybe not. But I still don't see the problem in it not being removed - let alone why you want it removed later.
  17. This looks utterly gorgeous - loving it.
  18. I suspect they had a larger stockpile than suspected - it also helps they are locking it to 1 per buyer - that kind of thinking is sadly lacking in most retailers. I'd be surprised if they still have stock tomorrow to be honest. I'm just glad I didn't have to drive anywhere and stand out in the cold. :)
  19. What I want to know is.....what is the issue and why you consider it one? No context - no reasoning.
  20. Yeah...it shows in-stock here too - sites being a bit wonky - but still some left! Better snap im up folks! Also nice they are only allowing 1 per purchase - good measure to prevent scalpers.
  21. Snagged one at Midnight on the button here...then the site went sideways as I went to see if they had more in stock. Good luck to those waiting!
  22. I'm not able to look at the store front here in the states - but my wish-list shows "not all items are in stock" - soooo things may be very shaky - hope everyone gets one that wanted one! :)
  23. Snagged an AT-AT Walker here - got VERY lucky. The Site was just fine until the order locked in - now its hosed - and they are already out of stock. Christmas came early ^_^
  24. When I was a kid I saw these two sets and screamed to get my hands on them - Tried my damnedest to take good care of these two - still have boxes - manuals. The very first two UCS Sets Lego produced for Star Wars (as far as I know) that lead to the fantastic sets we have today. Many years later....discovered the wonder of LED Kits for Legos - got an UCS A-Wing - loved it. Got a Star Destroyer - Screamed murder wiring it up - loved the results. Republic Gunship.....and on and on and on. A new drug addiction. Realized my X-Wing and TIE Interceptor where in the dark - no kits out there - saw Light My Bricks sells components. And this was the result. Id post videos but these boards may not like that much - and I'd rather avoid youtube for now. They each have a "Multi Effects Board" that lets the laser cannons do "blinky blinky" - the TIE Interceptor is wired to flash the top cannons then the bottom cannons in synch and the XWing is an "X" Pattern - just like the movies and classic Games of old - TIE Fighter and XWing. I've not really seen LED Kits take such things into account. Budget was wasn't unreasonable and only need a few key Lego parts aside from the components. I sent instructions detailing these to Light my Bricks as thanks/grins/giggles - but these sets are very old and likely won't see much light - albeit still classics all over. Tempted to sell these instructions or offer them up to others who would like to breath life into their 20 some odd year old sets. ^_^ Kind of new to this sort of thing. PS: Picture of TIE Interceptor Front is different as I used the wrong "transparent rods" for the laser cannons - too yellow - went and swapped with transparent dark green.
