I have added a scheduled nightly restart for a service running in the background & being responsible for caching and session data. Reason for this is I found some issue in the logs of that service - with the scheduled restart I would like to test if that allows a better outcome - or if not related at all So @Kalais, @Black Falcon please test over the next days if the behavior is working better for you now.

Lucky cases - there may be others where non of the staff is around to allow a quick remove. That is why since yesterday I am testing out a rule for the user reports for SPAM (option to be selected in the report dialog) to be fired automatically - leading to Spamming-Accounts being flagged as spammers in an instant by the rule. I have seen this rule being fired at least once today, so seems it is working. (but nope, the exact ruleset may not ever be told to the users ) But as told, I may give a more explaning posting this evening / tomorrow about our current status.

I need to stick my head into the whole topic. As we also got some complaints about the activity stream not working out for everybody as expected / like it did before.

Site had a short maintenance for me upgrading to the latest version of the vendor - may have been part of some preparation for some better solution already.. stay tuned :)

@MAB Our staff team is very grateful for the reports from users, please be sure of that! They help a lot to easily get alerted and react accoringly. From my sysadmin perspective, ideally our users shall not be asked to do anything in those regards - ideally we should have your backs covered already..

But if you want to ask for getting a MOD, this decision may not ever be mine at all & may be it is the case our moderation staff team may be open for additional people. So please feel not stopped if you have any intentions in that directions from my posting please

@Yperio_Bricks Thanks for the offer but our goal is to have a more automated way of approaching this. The latest patch included an option to use Cloudflares Turnstile service - this may be interesting and we are reading to try to go post-captcha :D

They are getting better yeah, the last ones had some audio-glitches with picture&beat not going well along, but yeah they are improving :D

I reckon they do not even have eyes... But yeah if they find their accounts fastly blocked it may lower future motivations for them.

Yepp, we need to find another solution. As this approval setting was annoying all Mods, we had to turn it back off again. We are annoyed as much by those spammers as you are... @JesseNight yeah thought about such, may be simple + small enough solution for no bot-army ever getting it and just falling for it.. Deleted the latest spam posts *sigh

Jesse I thought already in similar ways, but I do not want to mess with coding as I have too little capacity to ongoingly support in such ways... I think the main difference to back then is LLMs and AI being able to solve all Captchas and Spam prevetion tasks with ease nowadays.. My thoughts were like "can we possibly restrict new account to get into some honeypot-forum of them falsely thinking 'I am granted to spam already' - what they may not recognize may be the fact of them just being put in some honeypot-forum, not visible to any user & there they can easily spam as they like. Based on their behavior there we could easily identify accounts which could behave and sort out the others without having the community to get bothered... But I am not even sure if such scenario may be created from the vendors possible rulesets...

Oh nice topic - I was not aware that video content will get rendered to be available within our forums - and valid concern with autoplay options set. I have to admit I am not aware yet of the exact component which may be triggered here - so I need to dig further to even be able to answer if we have options.

Hey @Murdoch17 - I know you are basically our watchdog for such with reporting those! First of all I want to give you my appreciations for your constant support! Unfortuntely it seems some group targeted and had some accounts created. Unfortunately since LargeLanguageModels & AI, all before working meassurements to prevent automatic spammers to get accounts created, can be considered no obstacle to spammers any longer. Unfortunately there is no real technical solution known by anybody. And as spammers can also easily create googlemail.com accounts, they are surfing already on a big provider, so one can not exclude "all mail accounts from googlemail.com" (may apply to all big mail providers, not only Google!). I have to tell lately I got somehow not the most active person - need to solve another mystery 1st, but please don't hesitate to send me a private message with describing the details, so I may check later. I can already tell some other people reported some strange behavior of the Activity pages.. so maybe there is some issue there!

Thanks, I would wish every user would give such detailed reports... 😍 Really weird it is. Having a difference in which posts it is working from which forum will help me already to check further what may bugging your account there - it is at least the 1st report into that direction to my knowledge.

Thanks for doing further testing, also with other browsers, that is appreciated very much. I know the follow may easily be understood as "talking down things" - and I explicitly want to say nooooope, taking you serious - but right now by the singular report (or other users not recognizing as sharp as you did). I am overdue with a fix for the other issue of old links being broken currently - honestly this is affecting more users, so this is currently my highest urgency for now. In conseuqence I would put this reported incident only after I got the other one fixed. I hope this is understandable.

Have you tried archive.org? Chances may be smaller the lesser known or visited a page was. but it may be worth a try... direct link for their snapshots of the mentioned domain of yours. Other idea would be asking any modern AI or using search engines if for specific domains people created mirrors - but chances for finding them and those being available is also on another page.. As your nickname indicates it may be sticker torsos: The LDraw community is also maintenaining decals - so ldraw.org would be worth a visit if it is about mainly LEGO decals you want to have recreated digitally. Seems to be not true for torsos... for other elements there seems to be a subpart containing details - but torsos seem to follow another idea, possibly their color pattern may be part of the 3d model itself.

to be honest, I am not happy with their two different type of auth tokens on user and page level.. I am not mainly a swift developer being that deep into oauth, I have to admit - the issue with getting old I reckon.. But I may put it on backlog for now as I still have to fix another thing within the forum here which is annoying more people first.. (broken old links).

Hello, sorry for the late reaction. I would also recommend to double check as this "should work". Also if you have a second browser installed, I would ask if you may give that a try as well (as Chrome was disappointing me in that regard suprisingly in another topic). If the issue is still persisting for you, give me another mention for us taking deeper tours to find out what may go wrong.

Issue fixed and latest contests posted to the FB page again. @Oky I have identified some wrongly sorted postings, but need to further investigate why that may sometimes happens. Thanks for pointing out again!
