  1. @Lipko not sure if I understood you correct. I am open for any opinion, so I would like to ask & possibly give you my answers already: Did you got the impression we would stop there and not further put efforts into the topic? I would like to answer that that is not the case. In the other topic for thr case I mentioned I created a support case for the vendor to help us out, please be assured I am not happy with the situation right now & after my regular work I will activly work on here. I am sorry if thr announcement was possibly not allowing to understand thst the issue is considered serious & urgent as well. As said I am open for any advises for what would have helped, for doing better in the future. Please don't hesitate to speak freely if something did bug you - your opinion is considered always valid and worth to be heard. Best regards
  2. In the meanwhile I created a topic for more users being able to see it in the generic forums + have linked my announcement to point to the topic: I will give further updates on the matter in that other topic. So @bruh you may have to wait for another day until it may get fixed. As written, I will give updates in the other topic. Be sure this issue is bugging me with priority!
  3. As stated before, I have created a request at the forum vendor, as I am not sure if "just reverting the configuration" may not do more harm. I am not sure how fastly they may be able to react, nor if I could fetch their answer directly. At worst I may just be able to continue to work on the topic by tomorrow evening German time.
  4. In Germany we have something like "where people are working, chips may be expected to fall down" or s.th. like that - may come from times where more physical work was needed.. So I am fine with that - I personally just like to be transparent for what happened, I reckon
  5. My next update: The issue came from a configuration change I made yesterday. After the change it was ok till a certain point. Found some part of the issue - seems my configuration change created some folders with wrong file permissions in the filesystem. I got this solved Next, still remaining issue is: Contents are missing in the directory. I need to find out if a revert of the configuration will have positive - or even worse effects. As I believe the process may have stopped somewhere inbetween and now the files are in two different locations. (With my luck trying out the easy config revert may bring more harm, I reckon... :D). So I need to consider if I really would like to do this, or if I would be better with getting in touch with the vendor for them possibly checking and solving in the best ways - but that may take more time, at worst "some days" - also not really happy with that solution. I will give myself 1-2 hours to further check on my side - I think I tend to trying out the revert, as the process should have worked in the 1st place. From mz understanding it may work. At worst we have daily full backups of Sunday morning, before I changed the option. (I can forsee thrown bottles from the community already for that being the least wished option to take... bare with me please, this is only last resort, but have them I wanted to point out here..) btw @Toastie here we are again, "self-inflicted damage" - I had just the best intentions to improve the configuration - but reality did have other plans.
  6. Ended my regular work, will start to take a look into the issue now - will give updates here asap.
  7. I changed configurations yesterday already. Should have had no effect at all - but as we now see / "not see" that may have not been the case. I am working again since today, so I may just be able to take looks in the evening. But chances are 99% the currently not shown images are coming from my change.
  8. Yepp it is! Cheerio for Wall of History - they themself have only the old blog entry of taking over shown. Their reopened registration was shared via some social media (fb it may have been, not sure where I found that after @SpacePolice89 pointed that detail out). Also 5€ less monthly for me not needing to keep the 5TB mirrored images from back then..
  9. Just the pingback: Registrations are enabled again on Brickshelf, put a Frontpage news about this:
  10. @SpacePolice89 took this information bit of yours and wrote a news entry abut this - thanks for pointing this out! 💪
  11. Hm ok strange, think I will have to take deeper looks in logs to find some reasons. Edit: Think I found what was bugging us, changed some minutes ago - I will check the logfiles tomorrow, if the issue has been fixed.
  12. Thanks for watching out. As said I gave the webserver and the PHP backend behind a restart already, so may be gone with that already.
  13. will need to check for those in more detail. Is this just happening since today, if known?! Weird, just got a 500 for myself... did just give the web components a hard restart..
  14. Sometimes the Invision software is rerendering the cache files for themes, this happens in scheduled ways - unfortunately this can't be changed and if one gets this, it may be gone within the next 5-10 seconds. I had that myself already several times, me being shocked as hell like "wtf happening here suddenly?!" - but fixed itself also.. :D
  15. Was my fault, fixed already & sorry for the inconveniences!
  16. @jrs I can reproduce, but I do not yet know the reasons for that oddity happening - may be worth a bug-request for the vendor. But I reckon this bug is not considered highly critical, right? Asking as I would like to dig and read around a bit more on my own, before asking the vendor for support.
  17. Nice room @Plumber - also nice to see you got it working with posting pictures! I like the wood - but isn't it hard to have blind / unlabeled drawers? I think one may memorize over time, but may take some time I reckon..
  18. Yes, in our rules there is the 1024px limit mentioned. Additionally we have created a HTML/CSS rule to enforce this limit to any images of postings as second layer of security - for cases somebody may have posted huger dimension pictures by accident.
  19. Hey Plumber, yes those issues may have come from using http:// Take a look at flickr, it may be the most simple & free solution.
  20. Also thanks @Yperio_Bricks - unfortunately picture hosting is no easy topic nowadays.. But you are right, bricksafe as well as Brickshelf to not allow new registrations since some time. I know flickr is working as well, but not sure of their plans and if any free ones would suffice.. Ah ok @Yperio_Bricks also just clarified on their free plan..
  21. @Plumber Feel free to testpost in the following topic: Generally the forum software takes only https:// links (as modern browsers would give warnings otherwise - or if only http:// links are used, they may not get shown in modern browsers at worst - so recommendation is to check if https:// is used.
  22. Welcome Rolf, enjoy our community! Shortly is plain German: Wenn ich dir irgendwie helfen kann, gern jederzeit eine direkte Nachricht an mich. Viel Spaß bei uns! English again: If I can help somehow, please nobody shall hesitate to approach me with a private message or in our help forums - I am happy to help where I can
  23. Right now we have to go with reporting & flagging them as spammers, until we found a better solution unfortunately.
  24. I will take further looks into it.
