  1. Answered in a pm, as policies would't allow the linking.
  2. As all LEGO PF motors are brushed: The brushes may just be EOL... from the internet "The most obvious symptoms of bad motor brushes are poor performance, loss of power, sparking, and a burning smell.". (also a reason why I can't ever understand why anybody would buy a used LEGO motor produced from 20years ago with no possibilities to change the brushes ever..)
  3. Asking myself... didn't Fortronik gave us their vows for performing better in regard of software development and communications?! Just asking as several month went by with the regular expected old behavior of them of just doing nothing? This company is even worse than LEGO lol...
  4. Oh boy, it was my adguard, I accidentally switched on the blocking of flickr - so I have to say sorry.. 8[ stupid me
  5. @ExtranceIT Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately picture hosting isn't a thing at EuroBricks and you need to host them externally, bricksafe.com I can recommend, and link them from there (keep in mind the 1024px restriction of pictures posted here).
  6. Please also put me on the list of people interested in being a tester. This project would fill a gap we all need and want - I am sure of that 🤩
  7. That was my second thought.... so as it is a 48h challenge... lets see if this idea still suits me tomorrow morning... (if so, then expect it to be RC xD)
  8. Haha, you saved me from writing the exact same... So big #2 on this - I am happy to spend money on supporting projects like this!
  9. Just set myself an reminder alarm... :D Curious abou the topic and if I have some idea for it haha! All the best for all participants - may the fun be with us!
  10. I am agreeing to @Lipko, there is always chances for one having a fitting build accidentally - but who really cares when its about the fun of building / working on ideas? @grum64 I have no power, but when I would be the deciding person, you would be the person who is allowed to do so! (I am just a silent reader occationally of your thread, just want to say how much of a inspiration you are to me for always looking forward! ♥)
  11. Was just thoughts of mine in regard of "could work for me" - don't need to be considered for your idea of the challenge. My main fear with the "real 24h" challenge would be for ppl being staying motivated in the mid to long run because of the short amount of time (even if its just of fun). Just think of a person from AU / NZ with their wonderful ~12h-whatever offset to UTC. Also our summer is their winter and vice versa.. :D Edit2: Should have f5ed before posting regarding other timezones as it was covered already..
  12. From the point of not everyone having the possibility to dedicate 24h at once and for the idea of fun with this challenge a proposal: Go with one Challenge per weekend, it would allow for: Exact timeranges could be defined and would be a "known regular thing" A broad range of ppl attending with having a whole weekend (2.5 days for most of the folks) to spend 24h in smaller portions 8h/8h/8h for e.g. - it may allow for others contributing more than others, but I guess thats possibly true in all ways for one taking a day vacation and overdoing it by doing a 24h marathon... Werent there some reports some years ago of young guys dying in the gaming-dens after over 50h of playing Diablo?! Generally a great idea - but hard to set a good framing for everybody to participate I reckon.. For the "24h" concept my greatest fear would be of missing the start and then not participating (because of the wrong thought of less hours not being enough to compete - but could be a dumb thought and a miss of fun, even if one would just have 12h of the 24..). I am also more for "take whatever sotock of parts one has" as its no competition as you mentioned before. Looking forward to see some nice format jumping out of this thread and giving us all a nice challenge :D
  13. If you already ask THAT question, I can just recommend to not do anything further in regard of working at the electronics on your own.... Here the answer to your question: No! You need to buy this (To answer your next question: No it seems the exact batt with that connector is not available below a quantity of 20k units, so you have to go with Buwizz' offer.)
  14. Another tipp is, to leave it connected to charging over night, in situations where the LiPO is deeply emptied.. but yeah, could be it is dead already.
  15. @Aleh Sometimes the bricks are stuck... Maybe try putting it into the charger and then give it a long press several times (10-12secs). As I had this occationally it helped to get it shut down to be started afterwards with a clean start. As you are still on firmware 3.16 -> As the latest Buwizz App has the need to run the 3.18+ firmware, this would be the next step (if it boots regulary again, it should somehow show up in the app again to update the firmware OTA). I am assuming here the battery was latest / is working and not already end of life.. But could be an possible isse in the worst case. But give it some trys with long presses etc.. Another "more intrusive way" may be to open the 4 screws and unplug the batt connector from the PCB to really have the PCB unpowered and then replug after 1 minute.. - but Disclaimer here: ⚠ With this you will void any warranty of your device and it should only be considered if you are experienced with electronics)! Better wait for other possibly good tipps or get in touch with the vendor before considering this! Hope you will get it back to life! Best regards
  16. Nice looking, congratz! Can't imagine how much time it may have taken to glue all parts together.. How long did it take and was it a one person project?! Just impressive!

  18. The chassis beneath with the steering rack is the limiting factor (but also benefits from some pressure of not easily being pushed upwards, as I removed 1 technic liftarm above to get more space to lower the hood). I tried different hood designs,a lso with the long panels - but those are 1-2 studs too long to allow good mountings.. The body is more or less just a quick&dirty work of hammering s.th. together as I was curios about the dimensions of the wheelbase in difference to the shaped body.. So after some days for my eyes its more looking like an Audi R3ish body from its length than some short WRC design.. :D Yepp, thats currently a risk as they are just held by the two inwards pointing pinholes - can possibly changed when the chassis would be widened by 1 stud width to each side (would transform the body to get from the Audi R3 optics to a shorter one which then could fit into WRC category again). And yes, I really need to get some motivation to visit my parking deck of choice for testing.. 😪
  19. Thanks both... I am also curious about its performnance irl.
