  1. Somebody already said it, but it really sucks that Marvel sets can't have the fig selection that Star Wars does. I know its the biggest theme but they're literally printing "random person of X alien race" at this point, and Marvel can't even have the antagonists. Maybe buildable figs are selling quite a bit better than we thought, and theyre moving away from minifig sets.
  2. The reason it doesn't is that there's no standard of what can or can't be on the boxes, literally only what we assume. Lego doesn't HAVE to do minifig designs on the box to legitimize it. Many of the Infinity Saga sets have Thanos on the box. Neither Antman or the Wasp are even on this one. Lego fans love pattern recognition, but the biggest fallacy I see in this thread over and over: because Lego has done X in the past means that Y is/isn't happening because it's there. They're a business and can deviate from their own models at any point, ie. Black Panther bust, Daily Bugle D2C, and even this Antman buildable fig instead of a minifig set. Again, none of this is grounds for holding out for another set, but the question we should be asking is, "If I'm the marketing department, am I putting a character on the box that isn't available for purchase?"
  3. I agree that another set is a pipe dream, but this was literally the scenario for the Wanda fig in Multiverse of Madness, which is why everybody's latching onto Cassie on the box. I'll point out that Cassie being on the box is a decision Lego's artists decided on, despite it being promo art and not minifig art, but that doesn't mean a set is coming.
  4. Per @Scarilian these are the unidentified sets for the year, and as much as I'm hopeful I don't see it happening. There's always the possibility some of these are What If/Xmen, and some are likely to be Spiderman sets as well IMO. 76263: ? (4+, 66 pcs) 76266: $99.99 (10+,794pcs) 76222: (Likely DC due to delays) 76246: 76250: $69.99 (18+, Helmet?) 76252: Fantasizing for a minute, it'd be cool to see a MODOK mini build (a la Miek) that uses the new bigfig head!
  5. Marvel lego collectors are here basically because the minifigs are action figures, lets be real. Sure, Lego broadens their customer base by making buildable figs, but not making a set with the minifigs is mind boggling as currently the only toy line that serves Marvel collectors better than Lego is Hasbro's Legends figures (and Funko, lol). I'm not gonna lose sleep over this but nobody should be pretending this isn't a reason for collectors to be bummed- it's the ENTIRE reason many of us are here.
  6. Lizard will show up in 2024's "Ghost Spider Jet Ski vs. The Lizard" I guess I'm relieved I can limit my lego spending to Guardian's sets and the Disney/Marvel cmfs. This year looks like a bust for minifig collectors. I was going to skip the NWH set though, if its $100 maybe itll be worth it.
  7. I mean if they call it Giant man its as good as a tie in I guess 🤷‍♂️ A D2C Antman set would also be a wild decision though, since these movies have historical only gotten 20-30$ sets.
  8. I'm starting to become a little cynical, lol. I'd love to see the numbers on the Spidey/IM sets that indicate this is a good idea.
  9. At the time the Xmen movie was so iconic that as a whole, Marvel comics revised their Xmen to be more like the movie. The Ultimate timeline is the obvious example. Cerebro has been a giant device in all media since the movie, and given what it is from a story perspective, it makes a lot more sense. That said, watch Lego throw the IronMan-closed-helmet on it with some printing and call it good lol
  10. There's some heavy irony in this conversation going on whilst a completely separate NWH sets speculation conversation is also going on
  11. Oh god, this is absolutely something Lego would do
  12. I guess her name is Stinger? Odd choice for a BAF. We've all been dead set that the lego set is going to be MODOK, but we never considered that it could be a Giant Man, or Giant Stinger, or possibly one of the two vs. MODOK.
  13. Promobricks makes a comment about NWH and a leak appears the next day? Its fake fellas. Let's just appreciate that *something* is coming.
  14. If a No Way Home set shows up and its just Doc Ock and Goblin again I'll die 🤣 Honestly any hype I had for these sets is long gone. I'm kinda dragged that Promobricks mentioned it because it means another 3 pages of NWH speculation 😅
  15. If even one of these are real, it's likely they're all real. That being said, as fake as the Xmen set appears to be (it has minifigs standing on the fence even, lol) the Simba set and the Rivendell set are probably real. If Rivendell was made by somebody purposely faking all of this, it's extremely unlikely a build that size would only be shared via this 'leaked survey'. Any lego fan is going to want to show that off.
  16. Can you just find something else to do. Your entire post history is you picking at people. Whose alt account is this? On topic: if these sets are real, hopefully this means Disney lego is branching out beyond the Friends-style sets and we'll start seeing some minifigs. I'd still love to see a pride rock set.
  17. After seeing some of the Disney pics, I'm now feeling more like this is a high level troll. The massive number of figs in these sets is suspect, as are some of the builds (Maleficent). I see a lot of techniques I really wouldn't expect in an official set. All of that acknowledging 'yes, these could be survey/demo/subject to change images,' but if they were created by lego designers, something like that massive Rivendell build isn't going to be scrapped and redone. Look at the number of pieces alone that are in the 'ground' on Rivendell. I'd be happy to be wrong, because the idea of non-minidoll Disney sets sounds amazing, but really I could create all of these in Studio and pick a random person at Eurobricks and send them a survey.
  18. I cannot believe Lego actually doubled down on "It's also a pencil holder!" LMAO
  19. But again... why? Lego doesn't need to be involved (and probably aren't) with Marvel more than for approval. Infinity Saga is, by all accounts, just Lego's way of saying "Superheroes- but Marvel, not DC." The marketing team doesn't care about the plotlines within the movies, nor are they responsible for weaving some intricate web of promotion to match it. Marvel literally has an entire team of people that do that. This is why Star Wars lego youtubers are so terrible and it's sad to see this theme go the same way. Lego avoiding sets that highly demanded is one thing, but come on you guys are getting bent up about the label on the box.
  20. Why do people care about "Infinity Saga" being on the box? We really just want legacy sets, why is this such a hang up for lego fans? This isn't a unique conversation to EB.
  21. How will the minifig series boxes work with 18 figs? Do they make new boxes with 9 figs, or do they have 3 different 'collections'?
  22. Funko has been doing multiple waves for MCU movies and shows for a few years now, the first of which usually being announcement/non-spoiler waves. It must just be dirt cheap to make funko pops now. We're definitely getting High Evolutionary. There was already a big discussion about the approx. 10 figs we'll get in the Guardians sets, and almost surely someone is getting left out. I'd put my money on it being Adam Warlock and Kraglin (the former is set to appear in the MCU onwards).
  23. This is gonna be the best selling polybag ever, easily. Also funny how hard to get Dr. Strange figs were prior to MoM and now they're everywhere.
  24. The crowd pleaser IMO would be a battle pack- The figs people really want are Kang, Cassie. and a "good" Wasp fig, but we're going to get another Antman whether we like it or not. 4 figs and a small MODOK build, and then whatever that seat thing with claws that he has, would be perfect. This set was $30, and I know lego has increased prices, but this is great execution on a bad idea and could work for Quantumania if the builds are MODOK instead: https://brickset.com/sets/76176-1/Escape-from-The-Ten-Rings
  25. Honestly I'd most like a build like the helicarrier MODOK, but with a little more MCU-based colors and look. Maybe an extra piece for the mask to cover a similar face "round panel" piece? This mech-sized MODOK talk is blasphemy! Minifig scale is the way!
