Simply beautiful! Well done. This build easily equals the Revenge in my category of the best Ship MOCs. @Ross Fisher @Jack Sassy Rest assured, it's added on my to-do list, and this will be blogged.

It was my pleasure to interview you and to work on it. Just to let you know, our Governor, @Mister Phes, also invested considerable time, and some of his special magic dust, to make the post even better. I'm only sorry you had to wait more than a year until we get around your fantastic design and hilarious backstory, but better late than never. I hope we will see you again in the Pirates waters when you had your fun in Space... or even better, when you make new story about Pirates in Space

I use cotton from old t-shirts or pillows, and immerse them into water+glue solution to make them stiff (most people from real shipbuilding world use this technique). You could also visit tutorial section of the Pirates forum here , scroll down to the B. MOC Tutorials and see the sails section for ideas and secret knowledge.

The actual build looks great! I love the hanging skeleton, but I'm not sure what that redcoat was thinking when he decided to rest and drink around Bluecoats' tower. Anyway, let's try to add that big red shiny button here. SUPPORT NOW
-
Supported! I like the overall design and the classic vibe of Pirates theme, palms trees are great Renders are nice, but the pictures of the real build are even better. Do you have more of them? Another question, how many pieces went into this build?

Fantastic little ship!

@Julius Thank you for your detailed answer, this is very helpful and will serve well for a mighty good Blog-post on Classic-Pirates (hope you are a reader fan our blog) I have you and your creation bookmarked for sometime in the near future. Say... beside Flickr, do you have Instagram for people to follow your work?
-
@Julius How long did you build this? What was your process, first digital, or you went directly to the real build? I just saw on your Flickr account the secret behind the windows of the cabin. That is ingenious solution!

[WIP] [Digital] Treasure Ship v. 3.1 or so...
Marooned Marin replied to CaptainPolluxofOrion's topic in Pirate MOCs
If you find it interesting, try to hide the last mast and see how you feel about it. Overall it looks like a quite a ship, and I'm looking forward to see it with full masts, sails and rigging, at least first in digital mode. What's the number of parts now built in? Around 3,000? -
I think it's great! I love the way how you included lighthouse into this build, it looks like a very playful MOC. If you have a room for jail cell, go for it, but even if you keep it as it is, it's still great.
-
This is cool looking ship, looks amazing, so many cool details. I love the rigging If you have, you can add more images here on the forum. Is it sturdy when picked up, and did you keep account on how many parts went into it?
-
This is just fantastic!

This is out of my jurisdiction, but I have seen this done before by few of our prolific members, and nobody forced them to walk the plank or gave them any hard time about it, so... give it a go, especially if nobody from the Senior management objects to it here in the next couple of days. It's better to have double-posts then no-posts at all.

This is amazing video!

Wonderful set
-
Nay! True, it was inspired by the Silent Mary from POTC, but it's a completely different ship. We covered that in detail in our recent blog-post on on Classic-Pirates.com Check it out!
