  1. Found it, thanks! It does look a bit chunky but hopefully not excessively so. Other than that, the shaping looks quite good.
  2. Where are you seeing it? The only pictures I can find use the normal rangefinder piece
  3. Seconded; I do appreciate that they're doing another one that looks more realistic, with less eclectic colours (like the movie bounty, as opposed to the DRs1 bounty), but I feel like they could have struck a better balance between the movie bounty and what the bounty represents in the show, e.g. it definitely should have had the folding horizontal flight sails rather than the vertical trimast sails that they literally had to modify to turn into normal bounty sails when they brought the movie one into the show for season 8. Like, is this one also going to be inaccurate to the show (but without a movie that it's actually based on to justify that like the movie bounty), or will it actually just not have iconic bounty sails??
  4. THIS IS INSANE HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD ABOUT IT
  5. It's slightly too blurry to read in my copy of the image, but I think I remember somebody saying somewhere that the yellow text in the bottom left says something about it being preliminary, or at least not finalised, so it might change. Hopefully this image is at least mostly the same as what it'll end up being though, because yeah, this is 1000000x better than the usual "mature" boxes. Edit: previous post popped up as soon as I posted my one lmao
  6. Ya, it's pretty much what we expected I guess. That gimmick was also used more recently in the City 2019 Deep Space Rocket on the little robot buggy guy with the trans-red scanner that you position over the stickered tile on the little section of terrain. Pretty good way of making what will inevitably be a magical property of an artefact in the show into an actual play feature.
  7. Yes, but the actual new skirt doesn't seem to flare out as much (I think Rosie's might just be the Disney one), and the trolls skirt definitely doesn't work for the Hogwarts uniform skirt for figures that don't use short legs.
  8. Yess, this would also be good for making the piece more available in general
  9. Unfortunately not even R4 had it, the only astromechs to get it so far, afaik, are R2, swamp R2, holiday R2, and Chopper (but his was on a different piece so does it really count?) LEGO really needs to commit to giving astromechs back printing at some point, but it's quite frustrating that they haven't already, considering how many astromechs we've gotten over the past couple of years that now probably won't be able to get an update with back printing for a far longer time now that they've been on shelves recently (R4-P17, QT-KT, R7-A7, R4-P44, the imperial one from the TIE interceptor, R2-BHD, and probably more that don't come to mind (not really counting the IKEA and Maccas ones that probably aren't significant enough to deserve it tbh)).
  10. Based on the very limited info we have right now, even Lloyd's inclusion is up for debate. It might just be Kai and Wu, not sure if any new info clarifying this has come up recently though.
  11. While this is kind of crazy, I do think that to an extent, this is a sort of arbitrary category to make such a big deal about (talking about all of us, not that we're making that big of a deal but still), especially considering we are still getting imperial troopers (night troopers, the shield one from the U-Wing), just not OT, and we are also getting the set with possibly the most OT imperial figures ever, just not a regular retail one, and this is coming off the back of a year in which we got two mid-sized sets that are probably two of the best regular army builders for regular imperial stormtroopers and rebel navy troopers in the last several years, both of which are still available. So really, even though it seems a bit crazy when we narrow it down to the specific category of OT imperial troopers in regular retail sets released in 2025, it's really just a combination of specific factors that we haven't really encountered before now, and the situation isn't going to have any drastic effects on the theme as a whole.
  12. Ah, thanks for clarifying that. I had no idea scout troopers came out 2 years before the first stormtroopers!
  13. Assuming stormtroopers were indeed the first imperial troopers to be released, 1999 and 2000 technically also had no imperial troopers, but your point still very much stands.
  14. WOWOW it looks great!! Did not expect the dual-moulded cap but they really did it!! I was sure they'd also find away to excuse themselves of putting the insignias on K2's shoulders but he has them!! Yay!!!!!!!
  15. Hear me out; R2-D2 mech. I think that'd be pretty awesome. 2026?? Maybe even with a 2nd minifig for once since R2 isn't a full one?
  16. Honestly, if it has little to no interior (meaning the only thing to distinguish it, as a product, from, say, a beautiful looking $700 UCS Death Star is that it's way bigger), I can't see it selling very well at all. I just feel like "thing... but bigger" isn't enough of a gimmick for people to spend a full $1000. With most UCS sets, bigger and better looking is the main selling point, but what will a $1000 UCS Death Star with no interior be able to do better than a $600-800 one besides taking up space? It definitely needs the interior as well as the exterior to provide enough value for that price. And based on the info that it has 40 minifigures, there surely has to be somewhere to put them all other than a stand. They've never included more than a few in a UCS set that doesn't fit them inside. I'm definitely not in the target audience for this thing though, so I might be completely wrong. After all, the 10,000 piece Eiffel Tower... um... exists.
  17. True, perhaps it isn't too far fetched that they could make it 40 without just putting in 3-4 Darth Vaders, hehe. Maybe those last four will end up being a couple more main character variants (in different outfits though, like Luke with the slight difference in his torso print before and after the final duel) and another droid or a random TIE pilot. They can figure it out.
  18. Maybe (in the same way that previous Death Star sets have had multiple versions of, say, Luke, but in different outfits, so that you can recreate multiple scenes featuring him at once), this Death Star could include multiple copies of even the same figure, to make it so that you have the most full and complete Death Star experience possible (e.g. a Vader for the throne room final duel, a Vader for the DS2 hangar bay death scene, a Vader for the DS1 duel with Obi-Wan, or like, an Obi-Wan for that same scene, and a second Obi-Wan to go and disable the tractor beam). It would be a bit out of character for LEGO to include multiple copies of a named character in exactly the same outfit in one set, but honestly I don't know how else this thing is going to have forty minifigures since I can't really see them doing more than 6 different officers or whatever.
  19. Ya, that's definitely a factor. Still feels a little unfair though, considering how much more we pay for Star Wars.
  20. Ya like, this January, Ninjago released a new generic villain minifig in a few sets that is never going to appear again after this year, and they gave it FOUR completely new pieces, on top of the new dual-moulded Ninja mask/hood produced in 7 different colour combinations, 2 new hat pieces, and massive dragon wings in two different colours.
  21. Looks like the March sets have been popping up in stores early
  22. What?? 1-2 new moulds in a series tops??? Some individual CMF figures have 2-3 new pieces by themselves!
  23. I'm sure they'd be pretty cool to have, but every time that I've ordered on May 4th to get the 3 promos, they've ended up being out of stock of the mid-tier one, so I always just end up with the polybag and the proper promo. Slightly disappointed, but I always just call them like "Hey where's the coin that you promised??" and they give me a bunch of VIP points as compensation, so I'm not too fussed.
  24. Yeah literally, giving us new characters that are just figbashes would be more than adequate for the mid-tier promo. Nothing exclusive so nobody has to miss out, but gives us official versions of more obscure / background characters that also help to fill out the larger sets.
  25. The big Zane mech was for January 1st, hehe. I do wonder when we'll see the June sets though. I reckon that trying to get the other 3 Forbidden Five members is probably what'll guide my purchases, which is slightly annoying, but I do need them so likeee
