  1. I mean, the one in the Hoth AT-ST in 2022 had a backpack, they just left them out of the figure accessory pack (probably due to limited budget?) Don't know what was up with the action battle sets though...
  2. It's really strange that they dropped the BP price considering it seems to have increased elsewhere (or maybe just in the US idk). And also, going off the LEGO rrp rather than its price elsewhere like you did, that's still $35 for Mandalore down to $30 for Night troopers, which is pretty surprising. To be fair to the microfighter though, the Rex figure was a complete reuse, while Plo is brand new with a new mould, so while the Rex one had 0 new pieces and 0 new prints, this has 1 new piece and 4 new prints (including the astromech as 1).
  3. Wasn't there backlash about the troop capacity for the last one like 11 years ago? That's surely enough time to adapt
  4. Supposing that in this hypothetical they're using the snowtrooper helmet, I feel like they might struggle to print a dark colour like that over the entirety of such a dramatically curved surface (as in, the semispherical part on top of the helmet) without it ending up looking a bit faded in some parts, plus colours being dual moulded always feels a lot more solid than when large sections of colour are just printed. Printing works best for details and small things, but for larger colour-blocking, dual moulding is ideal imo.
  5. Joke's on you, I can read Aurebesh already (it took at least 4 minutes to decipher your message)
  6. Piece by piece??!? The hit movie starring Pharrell Williams?!?!?!
  7. Makes sense I guess, mb for making assumptions lol For the tariffs though, I heard that the price increases on some of the sets were higher than the tariff percentages, so in those cases aren't they passing on some amount of the cost to consumers? (I may be wrong about this, not sure where I heard it)
  8. It might not be viable if they were to keep it at the same subpar value for money, but considering the amount of net profit they make yearly, and the difficulties of the current economic climate, you'd think they might be willing to sacrifice a teensy bit of that profit to keep their bestselling theme at a somewhat high quality rather than pushing all of the monetary hits onto their consumers. (Please excuse my lack of knowledge of proper money terminology)
  9. Personally, as someone who is a fan of 75312 for the fact that it was pretty affordable while still being displayable (and imo I don't feel much draw towards a set that's more than twice the price that still only fits one figure and one carbonite brick either way - not much need for it to be bigger if there's nothing else inside (as long as the outside still looks nice)), the main thing I want to know is whether it'll have space for both Jango and Boba. To me it seems like the extra pieces when compared to 75312 might just be going into making it just big enough to accommodate 2 figures rather than 1, but I guess we'll see. Other than that, it can pretty much just be a recolour of 75312 and I'll be happy.
  10. Agreed (mostly); in all of those cases I appreciate the downscaling as it makes the sets much more reasonably sized for swooshing(when applicable) and storing on a shelf. However with the U-Wing, I do quite dislike the lack of troop space, with the ISD, I didn't buy it because even though it looks incredible, it doesn't look like it'd do much for me that the 2014 one doesn't do already (plus it's outrageously overpriced in Australia), and with the ARC-170, the stickers on the cockpit really are so awfully faded that it significantly detracts from the overall appearance of the set much more than it has in other cases (e.g. Ghost). They all have their issues, but in my opinion none of them are the downscaling itself.
  11. It's going to be crazy buying two of the most expensive playsets of the year (~$140-180) this August and only getting the number of minifigs that you'd usually get from buying only one playset in that price range (six-ish) instead of double that (CTT and MTT if that wasn't clear - Aayla, Ki-Adi, Bly, Bacara, and 2 generic troops should be what comes in one large set, not spread out over two)
  12. We aren't counting Minecraft zombies, right?
  13. Perhaps dual moulded legs? Could go either way based on the sketch, but there seems to be a grey outline which they don't usually do on cloth kama pieces (or at least haven't in the past for SW) which might be printed if the legs are dual moulded.
  14. All of the other sketches have seemingly been directly traced over their original images, and this one looks like that too, so it's kinda exactly what it's going to look like and I feel like it's pretty fair to at least judge it a little based on the sketched outline. Imo, it does look pretty alright based on what we can gather from the sketch, but still nowhere approaching worth the price. Also, the Inquisitor Transport Scythe might be a fairly good point of comparison for this. It looks like it'll be about the same size, and it has ~100 more pieces, the same number of minifigs, and the same number of new/revived moulds (3) (4 if you count Obi-Wan's exclusive cloth cape, which would put it ahead), and yet it costs significantly less money.
  15. Set 76000 is a 2013 Batman set It does seem like LEGO Star Wars (at least since LEGO stopped using 4-digit set numbers for mainline sets) kinda just has most of the numbers between 75000 and 75999 reserved for it (excluding some for Harry Potter, Overwatch, and maybe other themes idk, e.g. 75954 Great Hall), but I do wonder where it'll go once they run out of 75___ numbers.
  16. Agreed, and even then I don't know that she has one single outfit from Andor that I'd rather get over any others. As long as we get a face print and hair for her, I'm happy with just switching out her outfit for other parts in my collection to use as a figure for Andor.
  17. I'm hoping that some of the people working on the show had Rebels on their mind after Ahsoka brought back a bunch of the characters, they surely can't just have completely overlooked it
  18. I finally got around to watching the first 3 episodes of Andor (watching with my dad and we've ended up a bit behind), and I would like to formally file my application for the asking LEGO to make a TIE Avenger club. It easily has enough screentime for a set, and WOW it was so much cooler in the episodes than I expected even based on the trailers!
  19. I like how the Temple Bounty has all of the main characters that weren't in the last Bounty set The last one had Wu, Lloyd, Kai, Sora, and Arin This one has Nya, Jay, Zane, Cole, and Wyldfyre
  20. Glad we're on the same page, this one is phenomenal!
  21. Btw, does anybody know who the droid pretending to be a christmas tree that's to the right of the BD droid is? I think I recognise them but I can't find their name anywhere
  22. This was me, and I'm almost an adult now. All of the sequels came out when I was in primary school, and I received most of my sequel sets as gifts but bought a few of them myself a little later on. I'm well capable of buying the sets myself if I can afford them after buying current sets on the aftermarket, but also have been well aware of Bricklink for a while, it's definitely accessible to people around my age who are at all involved with LEGO. To be honest, the sequels aren't my favourite, but I'd definitely buy an actual new sequel set if they made one (don't care in the slightest about the new Kylo's helmet and shuttle sets), as long as they actually provided something new, like Exegol or a TIE Whisper.
  23. Being completely honest, this calendar has me about 5x as excited as I was for the last one. The last one had only sweater versions of Luke and Leia (pretty uninteresting to get as figures at this point) and other characters that I already had, and heaps and heaps of micro ships, which while cool (especially how they were following the 25 year history of LEGO Star Wars), are the least interesting parts of ACs to me because they don't serve any purpose in my collection beyond December. My favourite parts of ACs are exclusive holiday variants, exclusive non-holiday characters, builds that interact with the figures (like in 2021 and 2023), and buildable droids (especially GONK!!!). This one has an exclusive holiday figure, AN EXCLUSIVE CHARACTER WITH A NEW PIECE YAYAYAY, a C-3PO with reused parts from a set that I didn't want to buy so ALSO YAYAY, some neat little workshop builds that I can either put with Babu and Zorii or my Sandcrawler, a few reused droids that I don't mind getting doubles of, and 13 other droids!!!!! This is quite possibly the 2nd most exciting Star Wars set of the year for me personally, I'm going to have so much fun for this in December. The last calendar was alright, but the ships got a bit boring and they're not super fun once they're built imo. This year, I'm excited for every single day.
  24. Still very high traffic on LSAH, haha. Has anyone else managed to do the memory game in the ~5 seconds before the page refreshed?
  25. Same, it feels weird to care so little for the vast majority of new sets from my favourite theme
