LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

There have to be duplicates of stormtrooper, death star gunner, and royal guard, so it's at least 28, but I reckon there are probably just more pages that haven't shown up yet. -

What, are we supposed to wait until LEGO puts the sets on sale themselves? Isn't that generally almost never? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would have thought that buying from retailers for less than LEGO sells them for (which is the case even before sales in Australia, at least) instead of from LEGO themselves would be noticeable in their statistics or whatever, and even if it did hurt retailers in places where people want to wait for sales even from them, the retailers would probably buy less LEGO from LEGO next time around, which would hurt LEGO, so if LEGO notices this beforehand, they might be motivated to avoid that later down the line. Idk what I'm talking about, but I feel like buying from places other than LEGO for less than LEGO sells them for will inevitably hurt LEGO in the long run unless they change something. -
Fully agree. I also want to clarify that my wordy paragraph earlier where I was criticising one thing he keeps saying again and again (which may have been what started this mini-discussion up again) wasn't a critique of him overall, just that one specific thing. I generally like his videos, and watch most of them. I agree with most of his criticism of LEGO, just not every single thing, nor do I love it when he acts as if his opinions are universal (i.e. animated design/live-action mashup clone designs or helmet holes), which is kind of what that last post of mine was about. But that's kinda it. He's a good LEGO youtuber imo.

After watching CTT reviews, particularly now Mandr's recent one, I still stand by my opinion that the biggest issue with that set by far (by very very far) is the price. While the stability issues are surprising when compared to other vehicle sets, they aren't that bad, and cloth kamas for the figures would have been great, but I still really like the overall appearance and the size itself doesn't trouble me. The aforementioned other issues just make the price even more painful. Also, I don't really like Mandr's new favourite thing to say that he came up with recently, that "if we had gotten these clone troopers 10 years ago they would have been the best versions possible". Like, sure, the kamas that we were getting would have been good to still get now, and there were printing issues on some of the 2022-2024 clones (e.g. Fox and 212th), and a couple of other things, but the 2013-2017 clones weren't perfect by any means. The skin colour change is something that he's said himself was an improvement, so he must have just forgotten about that I guess? Plus they added foot printing, and helmet holes which add customisation and therefore extra fun for anyone who can get past the holes (which is most people), and the overall design change in the helmet/armour printing/design is completely subjective, but I personally consider that a drastic improvement, as I was never in love with the old design for them, especially the chest printing and the p2 helmets. And the fact that he keeps repeating this like it's dogma or something is getting a bit annoying, especially considering that it's wrong due to the aforementioned reasons. -

For the Imperial set, obviously a TIE Avenger would be the ideal, but for the Rebel set, my biggest hope is definitely a Hoth rebel base, probably at a similar scale to the 2007 version, which I reckon is fairly realistic since they have to do a snowspeeder with the new cockpit at some point soon (either with the base or separately), and it would be perfect to tie in with an AT-AT if they do make one for TMAG (and maybe also to tie in with the midi scale one, but less so because of the different scale). -

I wonder why the separatist STAPs in the MTT and RTG snowspeeder look so different. I understand them updating the design slightly since January 2024, but why two different updates at the same time? Do the designers just not talk to each other at all, and didn't realise they were making one for both sets until it was too late? Edit: Actually, I guess they had to be slightly different to accommodate a full figure vs just a battle droid due to the different way their hands need to grip onto the handlebars, but even so, why are the blasters and thrusters so different? -

Looking at the prices for the Jan 2026 sets, the most expensive one is USD$100, so we probably aren't getting the AT-AT or Razor Crest in 1HY. Was that last list that we were sceptical of even for January or just 2026 as a whole?? Also, there's a USD$10 set, which I have to assume is a microfighter, but it'll be the cheapest one in the last few years iirc. Best case scenario, SW is finally doing $10 playsets, but I doubt it. -

I just want to contribute my personal anecdote to the Lando figure discussion, as I have been somewhat disappointed by his lack of availability. I'm not overly fond of him as a character or anything, but he's pretty cool and I think it would be great to have one of his more iconic outfits available in a set that I can justify buying. I've been collecting LEGO Star Wars since, like, 2012, and I've managed to acquire 3 Lando figs. One is the TROS one from the TROS Falcon, and one is the Solo one from the Solo Falcon, but neither of them are really usable for recreating scenes from the OT. The other Lando fig that I have is from the 2012 skiff set, which I don't own, but I bought the figure off a friend as I already have the 2017 skiff set (which has the correct ROTJ Boba). Because of that, I have no reason to buy the 2024 skiff set, especially at that price, and I'm not really desperate for Nien Nunb or anything so I'm fine with that. What other options do I have for an OT Lando, ideally one in one of his outfits rather than someone else's that he wears briefly? MBS Cloud City was too expensive for me at the time and both the set and the Lando figure are too expensive now to justify buying. The 2017 general figure was in an A-Wing, but I never got around to getting that set while it was out, and now that figure is too expensive to justify buying, and I don't want to buy the A-Wing now as they might make a new one in the next few years anyway. Everything else is either too old or similarly too expensive. What am I supposed to do to get an actual OT Lando figure? For such a significant character with such a major presence in pop culture, his lack of presence in LEGO sets is surprising. That was way too long but I don't want to delete it since I spent too much time typing it so just feel free not to read it -

Looking at the factory leak of the V-19 figure compared to the face print from the scythe and duel sets from the Kenobi show, the angry expression is very similar, but the V-19 one is definitely missing the lines under his eyes, and it absolutely has eyelashes which weren't on the kenobi show one. -

As much as I'd love to see a Cobb/Cad duel set, it probably can't happen as if this Boba helmet piece leak is indeed for Cobb Vanth, the set has to be based on the first episode of season 2 because Mando runs off with Boba's armour at the end, and that episode is the only time we see Cobb with it. This is unlikely, but another possibility is that the new Razor Crest, as well as being based on the movie, could contain references to various episodes of the show, like for example having a carbonite brick, or the shiny ball from the control stick that Grogu likes, or, say, Boba's armour after from Mando gets it from Cobb only for Boba to steal it back later. Maybe we aren't getting Cobb at all, and they're just throwing his armour in the back of the Razor Crest to make the set more desirable for people who already have the old one. -

I think the implication is that it'll be part of the same line as the new Marvel busts, just translated to Star Wars now. The Marvel busts' helmets are significantly smaller than the standalone helmet sets' ones, so the Vader one (if real) will likely not use the same design for the helmet as it would be much too large. -

Battle pack, AT-AP, and droid gunship in 2014, turbo tank in 2016, and scout walker, another AT-AP, and another droid gunship in 2019, so yeah quite a few things in the mid to late 2010s -

I guess since they were the most recent clones LEGO covered before they changed the design in 2020, they thought they should probably leave them alone for a while and make some other prominent ones that haven't been available for even longer (or ever) before coming back to them. It's probably been long enough now though. -

Based on the figures, (Cole, Lloyd, green villain, hooded villain), it sounds like that's the set that had the minifig images leak a while ago that I just mentioned, so we know there's some stuff about it out there already, so I guess it makes sense that that's the one we're getting a description of first. My thoughts exactly, Jamanakai village seems like a great recurring location to make as an anniversary set, and it definitely fits the "old town" description.- 749 replies

LEGO Ninjago 2025 Rumours and Discussion

The description of some of the minfigs that came with the list also seemingly confirms that those images of a few 2026 figures that we got ages ago were somehow real, which is pretty interesting. Based on those pictures, the dragon ninja reusing the dragonian wings is interesting, but they do have a new looking tail piece. The hoods also look really good, significantly better than the golden dragon versions from crystalised. The green monster villain that's next to the brown-hooded villain figure uses the Rogue/Rox/Kur hat in dark brown, which I'll probably switch out on Rox once it releases as I think hers should have been darker to more closely match the show and to distinguish her more from Kur so that all of the 5's hats are different.- 749 replies

Ya, it would be pretty good timing for a new (normal, not hot rod) snowspeeder, even if the AT-AT is based on M&G -

Your point still stands, but to give the tank credit where it's due, it was technically 3 new moulds because of the one for the wheels in addition to the 2 helmets -

If we agree that's great, but my point was that you said that the 327th troops having yellow arms is inconsistent with the standard that they set over the last half decade, which is incorrect, because they've been giving coloured arms to clones with this sort of colouring on their arms in universe since 2020. It's not about whether they're standard or specialised (and I don't know why it would be, that would be really weird), it's based on whether LEGO thinks their arm design would be better represented by fully white or fully coloured, and we've known since 2022 that a thick stripe down the full length of the arm gets represented by fully coloured arms. The 327th having them isn't a change to how LEGO designs clones, and no one brought it up for any clones that followed exactly the same logic before now, so I don't know why it's an issue now. -

Mandr made this exact point in his video talking about the new leaks, but this isn't actually correct. They stopped using coloured arms for troopers like 501st and 212th and CG etc., where they just have small sections of colour on their arms (i.e. just the shoulder pauldron for 501st). The 327th, however, have a full stripe of yellow running down the full length of their arms, which is why they were given yellow arms. This is just like the p1 clone commander that they already made a few years ago, who has a full stripe of colour down the arms and therefore received arms in that colour rather than white, and nobody complained then. Similarly, the 501st jet trooper all the way back in 2020 has blue on the shoulder pauldrons as well as most of the lower half of the arm, and so also received coloured arms rather than white. It's not inconsistent design, it's designed to be consistent with differences present in the source material and it's what they've been doing ever since the clones had their major update in 2020. TLDR; as with all clones, arm printing would have been better, but giving clones coloured arms when their arms are mostly that colour isn't a new thing. -

The June sets have started showing up in retailers now, and there are already a bunch of great day 1 discounts depending on where you go (in Australia at least). BigW has the AU$300 Temple Bounty for $250, and Kmart has it for only $199! $100 off before it's even officially released!- 749 replies
