  1. Lol, imagine if the leaked TIE Bomber was actually not a TIE Bomber but really just a TIE Boarding Craft from Andor and R1 (literally the same but no bomb play feature). That would be funny.
  2. Just looked those up, and it looks like that’s exactly what it is. Thanks for your help! In the bin it goes!
  3. Hey everyone, I recently bought some bargain used LEGO pieces from a garage sale, and came across this strange object: https://ibb.co/hYNxtrK (EB won’t let me attach it ) (2x4 plate for scale) I haven’t found any knock-off pieces or non-LEGO objects in the parts just yet, but I have no clue what this thing could be and I can’t find the LEGO logo on it anywhere. Thought I’d just double check it’s not something obscure before I chuck it out. Thanks in advance!
  4. Definitely to do with the new mould, but if the old one was fine, why is whatever printing machine they use for this one not able to print there?
  5. Ah, alright. I'd say this is enough to semi-confidently conclude that the other one was fake at this point.
  6. I thought we already knew that all of the previous ones were faked
  7. Okay, surely THIS new image of one of the 501st specialists is real. Can anyone confirm?
  8. I'd be super excited if we were getting a regular Navy trooper tbh. I really want to have some that aren't just a singular muddy Han Solo, despite how cool that figure is.
  9. On the topic of Andor not being so set-accessible, this MOC by Not That Sam Smith seems like it would be a decent set, with lots of play and display possibilities, but still probably not something TLG would do anything like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6_UXJGqU_I
  10. Yeah. I don't think they could even attempt to make as many sets for it as Mando, but limiting us to one singular set with three figures for a show this good would be absurd.
  11. I know Andor hasn't presented itself as very set-worthy, but LEGO would have to be 8x as bad at making decisions as they evidently are to not make a single other set from this show, considering it's had such a glorious reception among so many people. I, for one, was convinced by this latest episode that it surpasses Mando and the vast majority of TCW, and before Andor, those two were tying as my favourite shows of all time.
  12. Glad to hear, mate. Although what ginja said about the Imps being human supremacist is true, I do agree that there could easily have been aliens in other contexts, like, as you mentioned, the Dhanis.
  13. I'd just like an Andor one with, say, Cassian in a different outfit, and then two or three characters from either Ferrix or Aldhani. Most of them wouldn't even require leg printing, and they could definitely get away with reusing faces, considering the characters all seem to be normal humans, and they already reused a way-too-common face for Syril Karn (aka Cereal Karn). Edit: Just wanted to clarify that this is definitely not wishlisting at all because I'm pointing out that it's something LEGO realistically could do.
  14. And also make more than one single battle pack every 12 months. I'd like to build upon than one faction (or sub-faction in the case of the Snowtrooper BP) each year.
  15. I personally still like the idea of the accessory packs, mainly for their potential to include named characters rather than to build an army. I'd love to see one for Andor and another for TOTJ, but it seems to me that LEGO's just going to continue using them as mini-battle-packs like they did this year, if they're coming back at all.
  16. And Mando wouldn't be that bad either considering we might get new helmet printing that matches the piece from the UCS Crest which I think would be great. Were they not rumoured under the same set number?
  17. I'm not certain but I think the rumour was for one of the 18+ dioramas, however that diorama has also been rumoured as another Death Star Final Duel set, probably caused by confusion surrounding the likely use of "Throne Room" in the set's name, which could apply to both, with the defining part of the title likely being lost in translation.
  18. Looks like it has the ridges around the helmet above the visor too. If it was fake it would probably have to be a decaled 212th helmet, but the printing looks pretty real to me.
  19. Edit: To be honest, I was just tired of feeling like I had to pay over $100 for the most basic starfighter in the Imperial navy. Feels much more army-buildable like this. I can definitely see someone who isn't absurdly rich who's trying to get their hands on a significant amount of TIE fighters deciding to opt for the smaller, cheaper one.
  20. I don't know what percentage of that cost the $20 decrease was for you, but in Australia, the 2021 TIE was $70 compared to the 2018 one which was $120, and the X-Wing was $80 compared to the 2017 one at $160 (literally 50%). As a TFOL with a significantly limited budget, that made a massive difference. (Now, though, I have both the 2021 and 2017/8 TIEs and X-Wings as I managed to get my hands on the older ones for a great deal from one of my mates who "grew out of LEGO")
  21. Thanks for clarifying mate
  22. Is that image with a regular 501st trooper and a specialist 501st trooper with the new mould but w/o accessories real? It looks convincing to me but I heard something about it being a decal. Can anyone confirm?
  23. Tales of the Jedi would be another good example of a direct Clone Wars tie-in seeing as it's just come out.
  24. Heck yeah! I was hoping they'd do a fang fighter since it was in the trailer, but I didn't think they would since they just did the regular Mando fighter that is admittedly relatively similar. The other two ships seem awesome too! EDIT: I may be misremembering the Fang Fighter's presence in the trailer, but predictably they'd be in the show anyway in some form considering their role in Rebels.
  25. I don't think chrome was ever within anyone's expectations, but I do think drum-lacquered silver would still have been too expensive to produce a whole UCS set's worth of parts in without having the price go way above what the average member of the target audience would have been willing to pay. It seems they weren't even going to use it for the N-1 from earlier this year.
