LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Wait, do you mean an Imperial juggernaut like the ones from Mando, or an Imp version of the Republic juggernaut(/turbo tank), meaning it might be a Bad Batch set? -

Ah, well, couldn't really see it happening this year anyway. Any hints as to what the set is? Or do we still not know? -

Return of the 2013 Gunship? Please? No? Damn. -

We know 11 of the figures, so there are 1-4 unknowns. I think the problem is that we aren't supposed to wishlist here. There's a separate thread for that. The piece without accessory holes? They only used the old helmet on hunter because they reused the whole figure from the year prior. Any new stuff they make is gonna use the new piece, and even returning clones will likely get the new mould when the old ones are old enough (e.g. Crosshair). -

Yeah, and to be honest, I'd prefer that they do a Jedi Temple in bley than tan, and I can see Yavin being mostly dark tan anyway. -

Rubber duckie clones confirmed???? Also, it would be interesting to see if Yavin IV gets a baseplate (or two, if they want it to fold open). I can't remember the last time one of those was in a SW set. Lol, this is my 212th post on EB. Just reminded myself of how the AT-TE instruction booklet has 212 pages. That was a nice easter egg. -

Good analogy, I can get behind your perspective. -

Tan robe colour for the top half, olive green feet for the bottom. I'd like to see that, and they could totally do it considering all the ones we've been getting recently, with Dobby (though he's less recent), the Up set, and all the Hobbits. -

I, too, agree wholeheartedly. The new design is definitely my favourite out of all of them for both P1 and P2. The only change I'd make is to move the helmet holes down, but I'd only do that if we were also getting new visor and rangefinder moulds, and that's a big ask. -

Speaking for myself only, I'm not a big fan of UCS display-only sets, especially when they have 2 practically useless figures, are too big to fit anywhere, and are out of my budget. Helmets too; just not my thing, I'm just after the playscale sets with figures. Still waiting for a new playscale gunship (though I do have the 2008 one now), and there are tons of figures LEGO hasn't made in sets I want, hasn't made in too many years, or hasn't made at all. Padme, Rex, Jar-Jar, Plo-Koon, Kit Fisto, etc. Also need some form of Nubian ship, be it from any of the three prequels, I don't mind. Some form of Coruscant at all, ideally MBS, perhaps a Jedi Temple, etc. LEGO's done a brilliant job at upping the number of prequel-era sets we've been getting recently, but obvious mistakes like Yoda's starfighter and things that really should be something cooler like the swamp speeder are alright, but are by no means the best thing LEGO could be putting out if they want to maximise their moola. -

Not only could I see that happening, but I'd like it to happen, since I missed the last two, and thought it would be more worth waiting for a new one than spending an excessive amount on the just-retired one. I can understand people not being happy with a new one, though. However, that's assuming it's an MBS-style one with minifigs and interior like we've gotten twice before. It could also probably be a UCS-style one, with panels, made only for display. That, I wouldn't be ecstatic about, but I could see it being popular. -

That sounds exactly like something a member of mech gang would say. Ditto most of this. -

Wow, that's a pretty great Advent Calendar fig! I can't believe they haven't done one before, it's such a great choice. -

That seems realistic. Perhaps if these new things aren't too great, they'll hop straight back to 2 or 3 Microfighters for January 2024 or 25. -

Yeah, except microfighters make about a bajillion times more sense in context. Lets be honest, they've been dying out for a while. We used to get 6 per year, then 4, then 2 singles and 2 in a dual pack, then 1 single and 2 in a dual pack, then just one measly set for 2022 and 2023. Not much of a "Collect them all!" thing anymore. This new change has been coming for a while. -

Sure, and we all want Wat Tambor, but be honest, if we're getting mechs, we're gonna end up with Vader, Boba, and a stormtrooper. This isn't looking great. Exactly my thoughts. -

Now I'm annoyed that they didn't update both Palpy and the guards for the 2020 duel set. I hadn't heard that second half of the sentence before now... and it makes me think it's ST stuff. Could totally be Action Battle sets or something, though. -

Agreed. I'd like to see them try a Palpy figure with the dress piece instead of a cape and legs (with the alternate pieces for sitting down), just to see how people respond. Not sure if I'd love it personally, but people have made some nice purist customs of TROS Palpy with the dress piece, so I dunno. -
