  1. Well done, nice red version of the iconic Volvo design. Indeed recognisable at this small scale, must have been a nice and fun challenge!
  2. No, I haven’t seen it yet here and on RB. Would be a nice set, one of my childhood sets!!
  3. Wow, I like it, also the tail. One tiny detail, the green and red light are exchanged. Green is for starboard (right), red for port (left).
  4. Nice, it's about fun and playability Yes, an upside down Trans-Orange Brick, Round 2 x 2 with Axle Hole with Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom like on the 6x6 Volvo Articulated Hauler
  5. Another progress update. finished the model in Studio: Dimensions model: 25(L)x11(W)x19(H) studs Dimensions 8835: 28(L)x12(W)x19(H) studs Total parts: 297 (240 in 8835) made a video of the model (my first one): used my phone car mount on my Lego drawer as tripod
  6. This contest is becoming better and better. Nice addition to the contest, rudder and flaps control would be great.
  7. Wow, really nice, lots of details! Anything left on your TODO-list? Took me some time to compare everything with the original http://www.technicopedia.com/8286.html.
  8. Really nice, no surprise you needed more parts
  9. Nice, back to the future! Are you planning to make a video and did you consider to recreate the turquoise interior?
  10. Wow, you've chosen a nice set for this contest! Really a fun project and I really like your version, well done! There are some details where I would consider a more modern interpretation: the HOG-steering Trans-Yellow Brick, Round is really classic same for the headlights White Tile 1 x 2 Another tiny detail is the crank for tilting the beam/forks. Now it look like you can turn this round multiple times, but it is just a forward/backward switch. So I would make this a switch. And finally I'm not sure the forklift wing mirrors are an enhancement, just keep the clean look of the original cabin.
  11. Thanks for sharing this impressive and very user friendly tool. Well done. Immediately tried it with my current project and it works flawlessly. I did one thing wrong, I clicked on the motor instead of clicking on the gear to drive my project. Also saw that chain is not supported currently. 12. Thanks for the comments. I wanted to created a light solution for the forks because the original ones were heavy and got stuck easily. This solution is small enough to lift pallets and this worked out really well and smooth. The axles are stronger then the weight this vehicle can lift . A liftarm Thin 1 x 7 Red would be a good alternative..
  13. Another progress update after receiving my bricklink order yesterday. Updates: new wheels, I'm happy they fit! applied the panels, thin liftarm, axels and pins in the correct color; improved the panels on top of the back; replaced the liftarms in the front of the cabin by connectors to resemble the plates of the original model; posted the Entry topic Forklift from below, some minor adjustments to connect the front-wheels On my TODO-list: finish the digital model in Studio; create a short video to show the functions. I'm happy with the result, the nice build and with the interaction on this forum. Thank you!
  14. Nice, well done and thanks for sharing. The part list on RB lacks the Control unit and the Receiver Unit, IR. Or do I miss something?
  15. Hi @Jim, just a detail about the entry topic. The link to the rules links to the [TC19] topic. Same for the first link in the entry topic.
  16. 1. Red Forklift - 8835 studless Original set: 8835 Description: Features: HOG steering, handle for tilting the boom and gear for raising/lowering the forks; Additional features: driver's seat, fake steering wheel and roof hatch; Dimensions model: 25(L)x11(W)x19(H) studs Dimensions 8835: 28(L)x12(W)x19(H) studs Total parts: 297 (240 in 8835) Discussion topic Images and video (including side by side comparison)
  17. Nice, thanks for sharing this model! Is this modeled after a particular mining dump truck? Little detail: I would consider to change the color of the cabin, I think yellow or black looks better and I don't think a real mining trunk would use a white cabin
  18. Wow, what a wonderful garden shed and nicely photographed, thanks for sharing!
  19. Thanks! Thank you, I like the challenge to improve the design , however I don't know exactly were you pointing at. Below an improvement, I think, with less pieces and the solution of the original set for comparison.
