I'll just get this out of the way first, this set looks incredible. That said, I'm in a very weird place with this model. I have wanted a Lego Titanic since I was a little kid, I built extremely poor ones with my basic bricks at 6 or so years old. This set is basically everything I could want from a Lego Titanic. Yet now, as a 35 year old, the reality of trying to find a home for a 4 foot long model in my house is a somewhat daunting prospect. I very badly want to get this, and I may, but the practicality of displaying it gives me a great deal of pause.

EVE Online Minmatar Reaper (blast from the past UCS build)
Geihlen replied to Tuskano's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The rustbucket came out great! I'm super impressed with how this came out and I love the size of the build. It needs a proper photo shoot with a bunch of glamor shots, but given the size of, I imagine that's easier said than done.- 6 replies

EVE Online Minmatar Reaper (blast from the past UCS build)

Oh dang, I'm a big, big fan of this. I love EVE and so many ships seem like they'd lend themselves well to Lego. Seeing the drones built really made the size of this build sink in. I love what you've done so far and can't wait to see more pictures.- 6 replies

I didn't have much doubt that you would finish build strong, and these pictures just prove it. You've done a really excellent job capturing this set. Seeing a set I spent hours and hours with as a kid be brought forward like this has been a real treat. -
Northern Pacific Z-6 Challenger UPGRADE for Lego Ideas

This is a beautiful model. These big ALCO locomotives are some of my absolute favorite of all time. It'll definitely get a support from me when it goes up on ideas.- 15 replies

I think I prefer the original wheels. They're kind of part of the character of this particular model and I liked it more when you were still using them. That said, this has been a really fun entry to watch come together. You've really capture the look and feel of the original and I think it's great.

You've absolutely nailed the look of this set. I think your solution for the center of the body is inspired and really captures the feeling of that printed panel. Color me impressed with everything you've done here. -
These are wonderful. I especially like the Black Falcon design. They both have so much detail and personality. Well done!

I'm like 99% sure that tracks/treads existed at this point, in both technic and rubber varieties. Now, whether any of it was of appropriate size or not is a different story. As a fan and owner of the original model, I like what the OP has gone with. It's more in spirit with the original model regardless of what the set from 94 may or may not have been implying. -
Well, you've done an excellent job interpreting and iterating on that original model. I can relate to obsessing over a project and constantly tweaking things. I'm working on something now that has been like...7 weeks in the making now and, even as I'm building it in real bricks, I'm still fiddling with it. In any case, your determination with this one looks to have paid off big time. A technic handle would be a very fun idea, though I can definitely see the challenge in finding a good spot for it. I guess if it's that sturdy and a 6 year old is already swooshing it, it's probably just fine as is.

This is a really fun take on a classic. It feels like something that could have been a secret in one of the Gradius games or maybe a standard option in Parodius. Wonderful job!

This is 100% what I was looking for. Thanks so much!

Forgive me if this is the wrong thread for this (I debated using the Flickr thread, but it's largely old save for the two most recent posts), but this seemed like a safe spot to ask. I have a MOC that I'm working on and I'm kind of dying to make a thread to show progress. At the moment, it's only digital and I've been doing renders at 800x600 specifically with sharing them here in mind. I guess my question is, does Flickr have a way to get a url for a thumbnail or some other form of imbed? I'd like to upload the pictures to places like Flickr at much higher resolutions, but I want to be able to share them here as well.

This is a really great build! I'm especially fond of the proportions and the detailing on the back/spine. Great work =)

How in the world... This is a super, super impressive model. Like, I can't even articulate properly.

You really nailed the shape of this jet, fantastic work. I especially like the brick built canopy you went with, which I vastly prefer to trying to make Lego windshields work.

These are all super impressive, I'm blown away! I especially love Fathom and Switchback. They have great bot modes and really well realized/shaped alt modes.

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I think The Armorer and Paz are looking pretty slick even if the angle isn't doing the former any favors. I like the selection of figures in that set a lot, so that's probably a snag.
