  1. It's rather early so I'm not gonna make any final judgements, but so far I'm not really a huge fan. The color is unique but does little for me, and the head area looks pretty meh. I really enjoy Lego mechs, but even I'm getting kind of sick of them, and I feel like this one really doesn't do anything to justify its existence compared to Iron Monger (which is based on the MCU movie that started it all) and the Sakaar Hulkbuster (which is pretty unique looking, even if it is another Hulkbuster). Not too hot on this one so far but hopefully HD pics change my mind. That's an insult to Bionicle.
  2. I feel like even 3 is unlikely. There aren't a ton of hair/helmet pieces that would work with a 3-sided head, but really the main thing is that it just probably isn't necessary. Most characters don't really need more than 2 expressions for one scene, so I think Lego just would see it as more expensive than it's worth. To try and get back a bit more to the actual wishlists, one thing I am desperately hoping for next year is a Darktrooper Battle Pack. Maybe this is just wishful thinking but I think it's pretty likely given that they made just one for the Gideon's ship. What I'm wondering is if the other battle pack that will go with it will also be Mandalorian themed, or if they'll go with another movie/show.
  3. LEGO does seem to really like making office spaces for all of those LEGO Ideas sitcom sets, but yeah I don't think they'd go for a TVA office set unless there's a lot of action scenes in there in the future.
  4. I'm like 99% he doesn't have one in the other sets so I'm not getting my hopes up, but it would really great if he did. It just seems like a bit of an oversight for him to not get a face print when Din taking off his helmet was such a big moment.
  5. If I remember right the Hulk vs Red Hulk set was similar in price to the Sandy Mech, so I think the reason they didn't end up making it come with two bigfigs is because a new one was just outside their budget for this wave (or year, I'm not sure how it's divided up). Either way it's a decent set as is but I do feel like it rides a little too hard on the novelty of being a bigfig mech, as opposed to having a lot of interesting characters or features.
  6. I was kind of just assuming that there wouldn't be any more sets after this summer wave since we also had a second wave of only three sets last year, but I didn't realize there were two as of yet unused numbers. I feel like it would be weird to do a third wave when this current one had so few sets anyway, but Lego does often operate in strange ways. If they do end up being used I agree that the most likely result will be some kind of weird set unlike the rest of the line.
  7. I think that as long as the Marvel shows end up being popular (which seems to have been the case so far), we'll probably get at least something for each show. If we get more CMF series later then they'll probably dump a lot of them there, especially for series that don't have potential for interesting sets. It might also depend on how many movies are coming out. I could see them doing a set for a Disney+ show if there aren't any movies coming out for a few months, but if it's one or the other they'll certainly pick to focus on the films.
  8. I was also thinking that it would probably be mostly D2Cs and a few reveals for later this year or early next year, but I'm still not really sure what to expect so I'm just gonna keep my expectations low.
  9. It would be kinda funny if they were planning on saving some of the new sets to be revealed at that Lego Con thing, though considering that they already revealed two of them that seems unlikely.
  10. This is definitely the first time in years where I can remember actually being interested in the majority of the sets. The only one I can definitely say I'll skip is the Slave I, because I already have one (albeit the old one from 2010), but mostly because the only exclusive fig is almost certainly coming in more sets when BoBF comes out. I also haven't seen Bad Batch yet since I was planning on rewatching Clone Wars first, but I'll probably end up liking it and caving on the Shuttle too.
  11. The Bone Mech is definitely the stand-out for me. It does look a bit odd in some spots but overall I think it's great based on what I've seen. I also like Sandy's Mech, though I probably won't pick it up.
  12. I don't recall any GWP-type set where you have to buy it separately either, but I very well may have just not noticed it. I think found the timing to be weird for the US, but I guess they figure it'll encourage people to spend when they didn't plan to.
  13. I agree that the recolored weapon pack katana piece would work the best for the Darksaber, but even if it is just the older design in the Light Cruiser I'd say it's highly likely that the weapon pack will get recolored in black in a different set anyway, so we can always just make a custom one once that happens.
  14. I finally purchased the Jungle Dragon today. I think my only main criticism is really the size. I'm not really the kind of person who cares too much about the PPP normally, partially because I think it isn't fair to judge items with a subjective value with money, but also just because the US tends to get the best PPP so price usually isn't a problem. That said, this set just feels a bit on the small side for $40. It's not really even poor value so much as it isn't quite at Ninjago's standard level of value. Otherwise though I think it's great. The figs are nice, the build is fun, and the dragon really has a ton of personality, moreso than any other Ninjago dragon I can think of. I don't have much else to say on the set, but if you're interested and don't mind waiting a little longer perhaps considering purchasing it on discount.
  15. I keep forgetting that the Flower Fruit Mountain exists, then remembering it and realizing that I'll some how have to convince myself to buy that on top of all the other sets I want this year. Anyway, I'm like the new figure, her face and hair are just fantastic. I wonder if this next wave is going to include another location set in the same vein as the mountain, or if that was more of a one-off thing. Either way we're probably going to get the Bone Demon's mech and I'll probably end up buying it.
  16. Well going off the current leak it seems like it's mostly the Avengers game figs from last year, but there is a new version of Spider Man based off of Homecoming. I'm not familiar with the leader though, so I'm not sure if the list (it's on the last page of this thread) is actually accurate.
  17. I thought it was strange at first too, but I guess it does make some sense. Since the designers got a bit more freedom to do what they wanted in those two waves they ended up making better sets.
  18. I feel like every time I look at the Hydro Bounty I like it more, but unfortunately it's probably too expensive for me to justify buying it. The Temple also looks a little bit more substantial to me in the 360, but I still feel like it should have been a bit cheaper (assuming it is $100).
  19. Maybe it's just me but the Benetar looks really small for $150 (that is the price rigjt?). I actually like it a lot, moreso than I was expecting, but even aside from the price I don't think it stands out enough for me to pick it up.
  20. I like that we're getting the Nano Gauntlet at minifig scale, it doesn't look like it's printed but I'm not sure (and I'd be kinda surprised if it was printed since Lego rarely does prints that small). Otherwise my impressions haven't really changed much, I like the look of Compound and Iron Monger (though he is too big). The Flier and 4+ set are whatever, and the Gauntlet is cool but not something I care about.
  21. As some others have already mentioned, the Endgame Final Battle is way bigger than the initial descriptions had made it seem. I can't say for sure since the pics are rather low quality, but I like what I see and I'm really glad that Big Figs are finally getting some improvements, though I wish they'd gone all the way and made the legs have articulation as well. None of the other sets we've seen really stand out to me, though I'll probably get the Iron Monger if I can find it for less than $30.
  22. Yeah I thought it was bigger when the original pictures came out. I don't plan on getting it anyway, but I have to say this is favorite version of the Bounty other than the movie depiction.
  23. Paz would be really nice but the Armorer alone is enough to get me to pick it up. That reminds me, I still need to pick up the Beskar Mando set. I guess I should wait and see if he and Grogu come in this set, but I highly doubt that'll be the case since Beskar Mando will already be in two other sets and Grogu doesn't make a ton of sense depending on which scene it's based off.
  24. Oh I hadn't noticed, that's neat. I still wish they'd just made it one structure, but I'm sure that someone will come up with a mod that uses all of the pieces.
  25. Overall I think the new wave is pretty decent. I really like the water dragon and the new bounty is actually much better than I was expecting. The Temple is decent but I wish the structures were all one piece. The two smaller vehicles are both okay, nothing crazy though. Kai's Dragon is pretty good except for the head, which kinda ruins it for me; it's just comically small. The Raider is definitely the worst of the three, which is a shame. I'll probably just get the Water Dragon and Lloyd's mech, maybe the Temple but it depends what else I want later this year. I think the biggest disappointment with this wave is the generic baddies. I actually like the design, but the fact that all of them are identical is just ridiculous. I just don't get it, would it really have been hard for Lego to make one more design without using any new molds? It's just a shame, but the rest of the minifigures look good so it doesn't totally ruin it.
