  1. Oh cool, I thought it was weird that there wasn't one but I didn't there actually was one. I'll just cross post it there.
  2. Picked up the Ocarina of Time Final Battle set, all around very happy with it. Minifigures are great, Ganon is fantastic, and even the scenery looks pretty good (which is impressive considering how barren that arena is in-game). I was thinking about building Ganondorf a sword based on the OoT concept art that went on to be used in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to make one I'd be interested to hear them! I suppose I could always just give him an Uruk-hai sword but that seems a little smaller than ideal.
  3. Wow that's a pretty disappointing way to end the anniversary sets haha (unless there's another coming that I'm not aware of). In fairness, it definitely doesn't look like a bad build, but I'm not super interested in the oversized vehicles personally and even at that size I think the price is comically bad. What is this, Star Wars??? And the minifigure selection is also shockingly paltry, the new elemental master is nice but then you get a repeat Kai and a nindroid. I'm pretty sure it's technically a new version of the nindroid (unless I'm forgetting some other recent set that comes with one) but I don't really get who this is for. If you've been into Ninjago for years then you probably have a million of them already since they've been brought back so many times, and if you don't have any then one generic nindroid is just going to be kinda pathetic on its own. Like even if they just threw in another repeat Ninja and another Nindroid (maybe Cryptor if they could afford a unique torso print), that would go such a long way in making the set feel like a better value. $90 for an overpriced car and only three minifigures, two of which are not exciting in the least, just feels bad. Ultimately I don't care that much (idk why I even wrote so much about this set lmao) since this isn't the kind of thing I would buy regardless, but I will say that I am not a fan of this price. I know there have still been a lot of decently affordable sets in recent years but I feel like some of the options this year are testing the boundaries in a bad way.
  4. Yeah I think it's just to make him sound cool and relatively unique, it helps set him apart from your more standard "Lloyd" or "Green Ninja."
  5. Pretty sure that's his symbol on the back, so I'd assume so (although who knows, maybe the reason it's partly covered by the cloth print is to leave it up in the air). I guess we'll probably get explicit confirmation once we see the head.
  6. I feel like Portal is enough of a classic that it could happen, but I do agree it seems a little more likely to be something more relevant.
  7. Looks like I missed it, still have only seen a super low res pic so far. I like what I've heard though, definitely interested (assuming I end up having that much money to drop on a Lego this year, which is a very big assumption haha). I think ideally we'd just get another set to bulk up the roster, but yeah, if this is all that we're getting (which seems likely going by precedent), then I do wish it would have included a few more minifigures.
  8. Wow that looks great. Ganondorf looks a bit weird without a nose, but it'd also be weird if he had one and no one else did, so I can live with it. Aside from that I have no big complaints, it could be a little cheaper but it still doesn't seem too unreasonable for what you get (at least relative to other licensed themes).
  9. Do we have any solid information on when the next wave is coming out, or is it just "some time later this year (probably summer)"?
  10. I always liked the fresh start of a new thread each year, but I wouldn't say I have particularly strong feelings on the matter, so I'm not going to be heartbroken if we just keep using this one.
  11. Seeing the sets pretty much just solidified how I felt when we first got descriptions (namely that the starters should have been separate sets), although Pikachu also looks kinda bad imo. Also also the bases for Pikachu and the starters feel a bit like they're mostly just there to jack up the price, although I won't deny that they look nice. I dunno, I love Pokemon and I'm glad they're doing a Lego line, but none of these sets interest me at all. Hopefully the rest of the year's sets are a little more exciting.
  12. My guess is that it's because of his only set also includes a big fig, which tend to be fairly desirable? But even that doesn't fully explain it, cause Killow is $120 and the one from Skybound that I forgot the name of is around $20 last I checked. None of the other Sons of Garmadon minifigures are too expensive either afaik, so maybe that set just had a really limited production for whatever reason.
  13. I wouldn't think so either, I just find it suspect that we've had probably in the ballpark of ten villain dragons over the years (I don't have time to check RN but I can think of like five off the top of my head) versus just the two big snakes. Dragons might just be more interesting for kids since they have more points of articulation, I guess? Idk
  14. This is a great idea, a larger take in particular could be really cool. I'm guessing the giant snakes don't sell particularly well though considering they've only ever done that what, twice? You'd think they'd come up more often with how many waves of snake villains we've had. But anyway yeah I'm hoping it's this.
  15. Finished building the Ninjago City Workshops yesterday, anyone have any suggestions on how to fit all the City sets together? Currently trying to figure out a nice layout that includes all five (not that I have room to keep them connected but I'd like to get some pictures at least).
  16. Not sure if anyone else has seen the piece count leaks for summer 2026 yet, but apparently Ninjago is getting four sets with over 1000 pieces? Obviously we need more details but just judging by this it looks like most of the sets for this wave are going to be pretty big.
  17. Wait that's so funny, I actually find that I tend to agree with most of points lmao. I just often don't respond to stuff cause I feel that others have already said what I'd say or that the conversation itself is mostly done. Also sometimes I might have something else to add but I don't because it's not really relevant to the topic of Lego Star Wars. But anyway no I wasn't intentionally ignoring you, I don't think I have beef like that with anyone on this site (at least as far as I know ). With regards to 2026, are we expecting to see any more sets any time soon? I kinda figured we wouldn't see M&G stuff until we're closer to the movie, but I can't remember if there's even anything else upcoming beyond that that we haven't already seen.
  18. Oh that's funny, never realized we hadn't before Also wow I totally forgot about the V-19. I wouldn't say it's super high on my priority list but it is a pretty nice set with good minifigures and a decent price, so I could see myself being tempted in the future if I see it for cheap. Also also forgot the zombie troopers pack, I'll probably get that relatively soon.
  19. I asked for the U-Wing as a gift but if I don't end up receiving it I'll probably just buy it myself since I've seen it on sale lately. Aside from that I probably won't grab anything else from Star Wars, except maybe the yellow clone pack if it goes really cheap.
  20. I think that's a great idea, hopefully it's something like that. Honestly even something similar to the 25th anniversary figs would be good, in my opinion the real issue there was just the execution being a little stupid since some of those characters could have shown up in regular sets and I don't think anyone was too interested in Kid Leia. Gold minifigures would just seem like such a waste of a new design when that effort could go into a character we don't have yet.
  21. Wow the Old Town looks great. Looks like it's absolutely packed with details and that's just from the pictures we have right now. Also pretty impressed by the minifigures, a lot of times they end up being kind of meh when you get so many in one set (especially nowadays) but they largely look really good. There are also just tons of notable characters from the show which is awesome. All around seems like a great set and pretty worthy of the pricetag, which is nice since you can't always say that about modern D2Cs.
  22. I think it's pretty likely we get one for TotK sooner or later given its massive popularity, maybe in 2027? I'm guessing the wait between the OoT final battle and whatever we (hopefully) get next won't be quite as long since they already know these sets sell really well.
  23. I did a quick search but I couldn't find it either. I remember exactly which one you're talking about though, and I'd be very curious to see how 2026 stacks up (based on what we know so far). I imagine the smart brick figs could bump up the count a bit but I guess those don't really count for most people on this forum.
  24. It looks like that to me too, but maybe it's just a trick of the angle and lighting? It looks fairly real otherwise and the bricktap seems to think it's real. Alternatively though, it would be extremely funny if the OoT Zelda minifig just inexplicably had a nose molded onto her face.
  25. My guess is that to some extent it might be a budgetary thing. I imagine one of the upsides of the midi scale sets (from Lego's pov) is that they require few-to-no new pieces or recolors, so they're cheaper and less complicated to produce. If the included minifigure was one that is already in production then I imagine it'd be easy enough to throw them in, but in the case of someone like Dooku, who would require entirely new printing for multiple parts, it'd just add to the price of the set. This also kinda ties into what you were saying just from a different angle, which is that while some people who buy the midi scales might like minifigures, I'm sure a lot of them don't care for them or are ambivalent. When you take into account the potential extra cost and the fact that in some ways Lego probably finds it easier to just market these as an entirely distinct line of sets, I do think the decision makes sense, even if it is kinda lame. Also if they included exclusive minifigures I'm sure that would end up annoying parts of the LSW fanbase that just want minifig scale sets haha. I think just including minifigures that already appear elsewhere would be neat and is probably the ideal solution, but if they already exist then of course you can always just buy them elsewhere and display them like that yourself, I suppose.
