Hi i am wondering about these prices, they are no UCS or rarely updated ships. Its the thrird version. I do not think in 1,2 years the actual X-Wing will be at 100€. Nearly every %#<¥++ SW that is discontinued is much higher in price than MRSP. Is it just because of the fig-collectors? Dino

Hi its simple math :) OT>PT>TCW Dino

Hi i am looking for a Slave 1, e.g. the 8097. That is the latest version, there have been two pevious versions before. The Slave one is dicontinued so i got none in store. Used in that condition i want (complete, all figs, box, manual etc) means like new, or MISB. Those are 90-150€ in germany. If there will be a new version, this will be 50-70€ MRSP plus new fig plus new parts plus "better" design. So should i wait? Or why many people pay that much for those old ones? Dino

Hi i missunderstood you in some way, i thought you where restoring the original bricks instead of buying many "new" (other) bricks which are in better condition than yours. But you restored the model itself, not only the bricks. Nevertheless the result is quite amazing. I apprecitate how much love you put into that model, how you much effort you put into it with this detailed "review". Dino

What are the odds of a 10179 rerelease or a new Falcon UCS?

Hi Althought i am a Sucher for this set i agree with Alternator that i do not see a close release of something like the MF. 2010 is too close from now for such a small market (compare system X-Wing sales with USC MF). Of cause there are many like me whining here they do not have sure a ship, but we are in total maybe a couple of thousands. But Lego needs 100.000s sales per set. Maybe we see the MF again in SW 7, maybe with different painting plus cloaking device. So that there will be a reason to update this set. Dino -
Hi do you ave wo yellw chese slopes? That would make grimm eyes. Do not put decals on your MOCs - it wil not match to your special "blocky" building style. Dino

Hi anybody here that placed two orders on one day and got two Hans and Posters? Dino

Hi got a "steal" today: My local "Real" supermarket had today 20% discount on all Lego, including SW - and even for dicounted sets! Got 9500 Darth Malgus' ship for 44.00€ minus 20% and 7961 Darth Mauls ship for 59.00€ minus 20% 82.40€ both together... ;) Dino

Hi i placed two orders and Han was in both carts but i got just one. Any ideas to get two? Dino

Hi thank you very much for the detailed answer. As i understand correctly, those spheres are wider than 2 studs plates and GBC balls are smaller. That makes them less functional and useful for many GBCs. Anyway, no i have 50 pure Lego parts for purists Lego GBCs - although they do not met the standard. Dino

Hi if youmare keep on the GG but did not want to buy or bricklink ist, there is a good option: I purchased the Hauntwd House instead. It is full of hard to get and expensive sandgreen. And it is a easy step to un-monster :) the house. What is left is a nice villa in a uncommon but beautiful color. Those bricks are also a good start for a modular MOC! Dino

Hi in the Lego store in Berlin in found in the PAB wall light-blue-transparentish balls. Not knowing where they are from, i was told they are comming from Chima sets. The rep there did not know which set exactly. I got "50" of them for a GBC machine/module. I know those GBCs use the Lego footballs and basketballs as standard - but now they are hard to get in high numbers. Does anybody know this part that i can ask in the Technic forum if those ball share the same size as the GBCs standards? Dino

Hi my local "Real" Supermarket has a huge bunch of 9500 Interceptors for 44€ (discounted from 69€, 99€ MRSP). I am into SW just OT and PT, no TCW or KOTOR. From the price view this is a must have, also from the design view. It is a really beautiful ship with useful parts. The figs are great but "useless" for a OT PT fan. Do you suggest to buy it? I do not know if this is a german wide sale. Dino

Hi yep, another B-Wing topic :( I was in the Berlin Lego store today, asling for the B-Wing, did not see any of them. The alego rep told me they are not onyl out od stock now, but also completely replqced by the X-Wing. At first i thought this only happens to get more space in the shelves but he said they got no more B-Wings anymore. Only at S@H (germany) is the B-Wing still available until it runs out of stock. The rep told me there will be no B-Wing production anymore. So for all potential B-Wing buyers: Do it now, it will discontinue soon. Dino

Hi the fact that many posters in my "May 4th offers" topic mentioned they changed their mind and have NOW to purchase that set shows the 50% discount in the US have been a good idea. I for myself would also get this set for that discount, 99$ are close to a third in value of 199€.. So as european (german) i feel a bit sad that i even do not had a 20% discount on that set. At the end this deal shows what kind of margin Lego can get with sets, even licensed sets. It shows also the market potential if those sets are a bit or much more cheaper. Dino

Hi Hint for anybody that is just keen for the promofig: I got the fig in my cart anytime i the value was higher 55€ and ONE SW item was in - did not matter what value this item had. Even a Keyring fig worked plus e.g. an Architecture Set. Dino
-
Hi What happen if you place today two different orders above 55€? Will you get two times the promo fig? Dino
-
Hi German "discounts" are online too. It is very disapointing. Those sets are still more expensive if you substract the VIP points than other online Stores. Dino
-
Hi I Never expect to see 50% discounts in european stores. This will unfortunately only happen in the US. Here in Germany we have to expect a 20% discount. Dino
-
Hi That is why i am asking: As VIP i got the same email - without offers/discounts. Does anybody heard about double VIP points? Dino
-
Hi I am aware of the promofig, posters and free shiping. But does anybody know if there are disounts on sets during May 3rd and 4th? I have in mind this happened in the past. Dino

Hi thank you for all the kind replies. @El H: Yes, the buggy might be burned when those trusters fire on. But i tried to put it at the bottom of the ship, so most of the engines are not covered by the buggy. My thinking was: Kids do not care, so Lego would not care, so i do not care ;) @Hikaro: Yes, the roofpirce isfrom that stardefender 200 set, but funnily i did not care. I have four of those pieces here in total, one unprinted, two with square pattern, amd the one with the "200" on it. I just liked the "200" more than the others without realising that the piece has been already used in a similar way. @all: Yes, most of the pieces are in good condition, but i also reduced the saturation of orange in the final image. This and hiding the worst pieces inside and unseen make it good looking from the outside. I also covered brownish pieces with freshy white ones ;) Dino

Hi i have got from a friend a huge Classic Space colection consisting out of ~15 sets mostly Futuron and Classic Space. After sorting, washing for days and sorting again here is my very first attempt of a MOC "200", just containing the parts from the vintage sets. I tried to get the siluette of the ship as close as possible to the Classic Space logo, seen on any ship and any torso. It should had some nice play features like opening the "roof", turn the radar or carrying a litte moon buggy. That is the closed "roof" where you can get an early overview of the interior. You had to flip both, the radar and the "roof" to access the interior. Of cause you can open the other windows if one of those lovely guys is still smelly from the 26 years on the attic ;) That is my commander, sitting on its computer console. Did you noticed i love those printed computer parts? This pilot had a lot of button to press and a lot of levers to move before this ship is going where the commander commands it! The back, engines and the attached buggy. Every good thin´ is connected via a technic pin! (it rymes!) The underside. I was glad to have so many tilted pieces. The driver and his folded buggy. ...unfolded... ...and seated :) I hope you enjoyed it as i still do! I am glad to hear your comments. Dino
