Hi i recently dismanteled, presorted (smaller and printed parts), washed, dried and sorted the Classic lego collection i got from a friend. Here is my progress so far: There is beside the huge amount of white plates also a tray full of transparent parts, wedges, nice window pieces and jet parts. Hi great - the concept of the book reminds me about the following: Do not give the hungry people fish - give the fishing rods and teach how to use them. I really like the idea of habing a reference of eorking solutions and i can combine them in the way i need them. I always liked Sariels MOCs, his webpage, and felt comfortanle with his behaviour here in the forum. So this will be a 100% buy for me. Hi wow - that is great bevause it keeps many things simple. It is that simpke that even myself understands right from the video how it works. Do you had to hold the trigger down to keep the gear in 3rd podition? Because the servor always jumps back to the neutral position - 2nd gear? Dino

Hi you will need at least swivel points on each wheelbases. With direct connection between parallel wheelbases the train will not run because the angel in the curves are different from the outside (lower) than the inside (higher) tracks. Dino

No problem. I know i takes so time to figure out how the CPU usage over time is if you had it (the CPU) for the first time just for the forum. I also do not know how many bots are trying to attack the page by generating nonsense searches. When the forum where i am an adminstrator moved to a dedicated server we changed from 20% CPU usage on a shared server (1% has been allowed) to a 100% root server ;) I feel now that could be similar here, everything feels fast ;) Dino

Hi congratulations. For now, it is really fast - even on my Ipad. May i ask a question? There is a spam protection delay between two seached. On slower and shared servermachines that is a truely useful step. Butihafe often correct my spellings or typos or Ipad typos (thick fingers) and i had to wait too. Sometimes i had to correct myself 3 times, that is anoying. Can you now pease setup a shorter delay time? Dino

Hi i am not talking about myself, i will never be that creative. But others might be, will be. I am not sure if you see your idea becoming reality, and making money, that will be reward enough. Lego Cuusoo for example is different. At least the author/moccer will be mentioned, everybody knows that ithave been "your" idea. If have read a few days aho a story where someone invented the "ipod", a chip based music player, in 1977. A few years later he could not afford to renew the patent, and as everybody know, a few copanies are extremely successful with that. For this guy, it leaves some kind of bitterness not being rewarded in any way. But last but not least i care more about the "losing the rights on your idea"stuff than on being oor not being rewarded. As photographer i always own the rights of my creativity, my pictures. I can sell those rights, or licnse an image to someone but losing the rights is bad. Dino

Hi your 4yo son is able to build parts of HD on its own? That sounds great! Actually we sort parts together and then i name the parts that have to be taken and show him in the manual where he had to place them. He had to find out alone where it is on the real Lego stack. Anyone has good ideas to get the newer horses without the need of buying many HDs? Dino

Hi thanks, i already took a look on the Joust set. But for my taste it did not look like a castle, or at least less like a castle than the HD set. But i agree, the figs on that set are very good for roleplaying smaller kids. Dino

Hi i just would like to clarify a few things from my side: i am not against asking people for ideas - indeed that is a great way (for both sides) to come up with complete new themes. I only worry about, that you lose all rights on your own ideas for any situaltion comming up. If you idea will be realised into a theme and this is going to be a bummer - you are right off the game. If the idea will be used later on, maybe after years - you are still off the game. It is not onlycounting for the people that will work successfully with Lego together, but also al those that are NOT workng with them for the first time. To come back to my "photography example" with which i can explain it better, NNot only the "winner" will lose it rights on his idea but all the others too. I am sure that at Lego there will be "no winner" unless someone is so great that he will be hird by Lego. I only dislike losing my rights on my stuff for nothing, even i am not the "winner" (means my idea will be used). Dino

Hi no, war is not sheduled right now ;) Good to hear. I always hated panel build sets, whatever they are. Castles are brick build and so should a set be. The build will be to complicated for himselb, but i will do it with him together. Dino

Hi do not get me wrong, i am not a native speaker. I personally like the figs and LOTR too, but for a 4yo? He asked me "what the monsters are doing there". I do not want to get into a specitic theme, just "knights and castle" is ok. Without helmet the uruk hai are really bad guys - i do not want them included - for now. Maxbe if he is 10 or 12 he will be happy that he (i ;) ) owns such good (and high value ;) ) figs. The actual battle packs i have seen have green guys or red guy. Quietsimpke, green vs red or, if he likes to, green and red together. But uruk hai... Dino

Hi that is an important point. This will be a huge idea collection from all kinds of thinkable themes - and Lego hardly tell what they are going to do with it - beside that all right are going to them. Ideas and the bricks are the source for Legos success - and for now the bricks are not patented anymore... Ideas are the key! In photography for example, there are many online competitions where you can win e.g. a holiday trip if you snd in the best holiday image... Value 2000€. But all others putin their imagesfrom all places over the worldthat fill up for the next 10 years their catalogsand webpages - for free. Sending a photographer around the world or purchasing those images online is MUCH more expensive than a 2000€ holiday trip. That isthe same with Lego here, setdesigners are expensive, because good ideas are worthful. Dino

Hi actually i am thinking about getting my son into castle theme. But there is no castle from Lego available atm. I found at a local toystore 10 different battlepacks with 5 different knight each, for just 12€. So my eye goes up to the Helms Deep set which would make a nice castle. Purchasing HD would be expensive but those figs are not for my son, too cruel and too violent, but they are good for the second market. From that money i guess i could own many of those lovely knight battlepacks. What do you think? Buy HD, keep the figs for later sale (if their value goes up) and add classic kingdoms knights? Dino

Hi that was my reason to get this set, to convert it into a modular, or even to use its parts as base. I am actually building the HH, but when i am finished, i will try an alternate without ny additional parts. Dino
