Hi i am sure - and hoping that too - that shipping 20000 sets 'extra' and within 1-2-3 days is too much for Legos logistics. Keep in mind their logistics should run close to 100% to be eficient. So 20000 sets are an extra that might be too much. So why not splitting that region per region in two or more batches? As long someone ordered "out of stock but we deliver this at X" i am pretty sure those person will get the set. Dino

Hi no, i do not think they expand the limit of 20000 units. They would break their word. This would decrease the interests in any upcomming "special limited edition". I think they produced "10000" at the moment or have just this 10000 ready to ship. In late August the rest will be produced or ready to be shiped. Dino

Hi i recently made my order. The shop said backorder until 22nd august. Lets see, maybe they cancel a lot of those mass sellers, using multiple accounts but similar adresses. I hope i got one. Dino

REVIEW: 21050 Create Your Own Architecture
Darth Dino replied to JimBee's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi thanks for the nice review. Now i have a better feeling what we get if we purchase this "set". I agree with Blakbird, if the book is THE keypart of the set and it is somewhat independenced from the bricks (because you can not build everything that is shown in the book), why not sell the book alone. I wonder why those creative Lego designers can not even show their reference ideas in the book made with the sets parts. I am not asking for a manual for those ideas, but showing nice models but not been able to reproduce them is disappointing. 150$ and maybe 150€ seems to be a lot for an unlicensed set. Um es genau zu sagen, man MUSS in englisch posten. Es muss nicht 100% korrekt sein, der Wille zählt! :) Sorry Admins, i asked Berti if he is able to speak or write english and told him that englisch is the only language that is allowed here. Dino

How to identify which minifigure your gona get ?
Darth Dino replied to Legofan225's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi there have been topics about "feeling the packet", search for that. You will see there are some experts that can identify minifigs from the outside. Something i can not :( Dino -
Hi thank you very much for your effort. Selling my 9398 "sealed" was a good idea, but i will purchase the Boss anyway ;) Dino

Hi is anyone like me surprised and disappointed that this model only goes away for 620£? That 10 pence per piece... If you compare what people pay for used system and UCS AT ATs.... Dino

Hi that was deleted spam. Do not post or click any link in those topics. If you see this, press the report button. The admins and mods will do their work then ;) Dino

Got some old stuff, want to know what it is
Darth Dino replied to bwajfk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi wooha! That was a "buy once - enjoy forever" purchase ;) Do you see differences between the red bricks from the wooden box and newer onces? Lego changed in the past from cellulose acetate to ABS. The old cellulose acetate bricks are milky looking, bent often and not that shiny and colorfil as the ABS ones. Dino- 12 replies

Got some old stuff, want to know what it is
Darth Dino replied to bwajfk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi nice find! But for your age of 31 this is pretty old. I guess this is late '50 and erly '60 Lego. I am pretty sure we will get all the details soon from Legohistorian ;) Just sit down and relax. May i ask how much that old wooden box was? Dino- 12 replies

Hi are the white domes the same as in the UCS and are they exclusive to that set? I have never seen such domes in other sets. Any ideas what that beauty costs, if fully purchased via BL? Dino

Hi if the cone is covered with real copper then be careful. Do not touch it with your naked fingers. The acid on the fingerprints cause very fast oxidation of the copper. Within days your copper is black, without any shine. I suggest to paintbrush it with clear paint. Youmcan remove the black copper oxide once with a warm lemon acid solution. But this will not work for ever with thin copper films. Anyway your ship is amazing! Dino

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
Darth Dino replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi any ideas what will happen with the missspelled/missprinted tile? Will TLG change that or keep it? If they change it, the missprinted part could become a rare colectible item. Dino- 207 replies

Lucky guy! Because now sou have the chance to discover something iconic. The Termminator and Terminator 2 are without no doubt completely different movies. Enjoy both and let us know how you like them. For myself: I became an Arnold fan seeing The Terminator. Edit: If you live i an country like Germany where they cut movies to make them. avaiable for TV and teens: Do not watch this. The Terminator have to be seen uncut! If not, you miss the Gargoyles Sunglasses scene. 8) Dino

Hi is nobody on eBay USA selling the ship new (sealed bags) but without the figs? The figs are quiet normal and not exclusive. I bought mine at eBay Germany for 70€ (149€ is MRSP). Here are sellers that are specialized in sellingnfigs and sets individually but new. Dino

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
Darth Dino replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi needless to say i am a big fan of Rufus reviews. That one is another example for a very good and hard to beat review. Your comparison between the Cuusoo and retail model is a great idea and make most critics shut up (including myself). The alego version is much sleeker, flatter and - as you wrote - looks more sporty! That is important. Showing both side by side was a very good idea! Showing the Volvo was an evil move hrhr. Hi you have a good taste. I like the idea having a minifig scaled ship but more details than the retail sets. I like the Y-Wing most. more than X and B. The only reason that is do not have one is that the UCS is "too big and expensive" and the playset "with too less details". Maybe i shpuld try this one. I am just surfing with an iPad, is this manual available in PDF? Dino

Hi if i go to Lego Brandstores i get things i only can get there. If there are no sets of interests (or not enough mony for them) i will get PAB cups ;) But 150 republic credits is fine ;) You can try to get a UCS, maybe there are still B-Wings. They X is too expensive. Large actuals non UCS sets are MF and the new gunship. I habe the MF so would go for the Gunship. 150£ are also great for a modular if you like that theme. Modulars are exclusive, the Gunship e,g is available "everywhere" and cheaper. Dino

Hi for the Sail Bardge sand or tan are great colors too. But propper whitebalanching is on those backgrounds harder to do. You have to do this before with a plain white piece if paper. But again, every "detail", even it is a tan background keeps the observers eyes away form the set. So a white background is less intersting and leads theobservers eyes where you would like to have them. On the reviewed set. Displaying a set or a scene is different from reviewing it. E.g. ACPin has nice and huge dioramas where he uses often "photobackgrounds" e.g. a forest image for the Ewok Village MOC. But this is presenting a MOC, not reviewing it. Dino

Hi white is recommended. It looks neutral and professional. And, like any other monochromatic (single solid) color it holds your viewers eye on the details not on the background. But, of cause white is not a must. Neutral grey or black are great too. Black has the same disadvantages as white has, but inverted. Black Lego on black backgrounds is as bad as white Lego on white backgrounds. For example, a grey ISD would look great infornt of a black background (space). A mostly white Snowspeeder might look better on grey. White would be great for that as "snowy" background but kills many details in white. This is VERY hard to get. E.g. RA reviews have to be on white. That is the most neutral and most compareable background. So all RA reviews have an uniformish look, which is good. Dino
