Hi my suggestion to that topic: I would personally love to join such a community build but i do not have many SW sets/parts yet. I could e.g. imagine nice Hoth cenarios but do not have any white plates ;) Limiting the amount of parts to one single set would be a real challenge in creativity. One communit build could be: Build something out of a starship set that is NOT a starship. Than make a poll of famous starship sets, and e.g. the actual MF is the winner. Having a vote before makes sure that everbody have the same sets available for building. The result could be e.g. a Rebel base out of MF parts. Or an AT ST out of MFs parts :) Dino

Hi as european i could ask you back - why is Lego in the US so cheap? Better wait a bit longer for a good thing than paying what we pay, eh? ;) Dino -
SR-71 Blackbird
Darth Dino replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi most impressive MOC of a legendary aircraft. Thank you for not only showing this great model but also providing (once again) most impressive background information about the real thing. Engeneers started to develop this aircraft in the late '50 - FIFTIES! When other planes in the world have been flown with propellers and sub sonic speed, this one is for many values still a record holder. I think secret development have never been so far ahead since Oxcart and later SR-71. Dino -
Hi oh man - first we are talking about how rare this fig is and then you show this image of a Lieutenant army... Gratulation. I hope you did not have to rob all the kids which won one of these. ;) Do you have an army of the Ccloud City Boba too? :) Dino
-
Hi just two questions: Who drops the plan? :) And is it legendary or just epic? :D Dino
-
Hi yes, that is the same Atomium i had in mind. Especialle te small scale make the MOC awsome. Try something about food, maybe your favourite dinner. Dino

Hi nice idea - but old :) When i was a kid (late '70, early '80) Lego asked "name a thing that can not be build with Lego bricks". One give answer from Lego was "Hamburger". I did my cross at "name something different" and this was the Atomium in Brussels (round, metal, refective and weak construction). We all know that everything is build today. :) But for sure those are not easy to do. Dino

Hi very good photography. Nice angles and good lightning. This will make the most out of this great MOC. Dino

Hi i feel similar to you. Most present set i have in mind is the Gungan sub. It features maybe one of the outstanding figs, Queen Amidala in her robe. She had never been close to that sub. That is combining a very popular and beatiful fig with an unpopular set. Dino

Hi this set is in the line with the Eifel Tower, the Taj Majal and the Tower Bridge. None if them have been in the Architecture line. If you compare the Scale and the price per piece, you will see, Architecture sets are expensiver and smaller. So creater fits well to this one. Dino- 127 replies

Review Review: 10237 The Tower of Orthanc
Darth Dino replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hi Dear Rufus, do not get me wrong. This is a great review with a lot of love and edfort in it. But to compare them with you other latest reviews this is not your best. To keep your own stardard man of th images needed better (cooler) whitebalance. There are often images where greys and black apeer brownish. I would not mention that for another reviewer except you. It is only because your other reviews have been so great without any flaws or weeknesses. I hope i wa not too harsh, if yes, pease acept my excuse. Regarding to the set itself: As Star Wars fan i would love to see the Saruman face with Count Dookus latest hairpice. I my immagination this is the best combination. Dino- 138 replies

Darth Dino replied to GRogall's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi many thanks again for GRogall provinding us all information avaiable. What a huge set, what agreat parts pack! Yes, 279€ is a lot of money but significant below the 10c/piece. And without doubts there are not mostly 1x2 plates (like the Robbie house)but also big parts like the curved slopes on the roof. For any Moccer who loves natural colors this is a great drak tan parts pack. For any other people this will be a great looking model on the shelf. Dino- 127 replies

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Darth Dino replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi i agree and recommend as well to buy the DS now. I will do that soon too. With the new ewok village comming out there will be another mass-minifigs playset in the upper price range. For sure both sets are not the same but both join the same category: huge playsets with lots of figs. The SSD stands out here. There is no other 400€$£ set of a vehicle. I feel too that we will see the SSD longer than the DS. Dino -

Darth Dino replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi there is something worth to mention. I did not know they are testing their models with the heat of ovens. Sounds interesting and reasonable. maybe that will be a method for those Moccers that try to follow Legos designing rules (e.g. Anio). "Even to oven test did not fail!" :D Dino -

Hi thanks and.... damn. I am focussing just on movie sets and i ignored all clones sets so far thinking they are TCW sets... And now there are 3 actual sets just about EP II. As too hard for me to differ TCW sets from EP II clones sets. Dino

Hi i am curious but also noobish regarding TCW. Can anybody please explain why this fig is so important? It is the rank? What makes it so exclusive? Thanks ;) Dino
