This new Great Hall exterior recalls me the 2010 one in 4842_Hogwarts Castle. Somehow a worsening respect the 2018 Great Hall. I find the 2018 version more elegant and refined respect the 2010 and 2021 ones. For example, im my opinion the spires on the long side of the Great Hall are better made with a spear tip (2018 version) than with a cone (2010 version) or two 1x1 slope (2021 version). The same with the exterior pillars, narrower in 2018 version. Generally the new Great Hall appear squatter, losing the charachteristic gothic verticality.

Oh, finally good images! And images of the interior. Time to update my ratings . 1) Hogsmeade is still my favourite June set, nice exterior and interior (I prefer Three Broomsticks to Honeyduckes). Rosmerta was on my to-do-list, so it's good they create her and she's my favourite charachter in this set with Mr. Flume, not a known charachter, but it's always good to have common witches and wizardes. The other minifigs, for me, are just good . After prelim images I gave Hogsmeade a 8/10 rating. My rating doesn't change. Final: 8/10. 2) Chamber of Secrets interior gives the set a good improvement. I hadn't the old Hogwarts Castle and Chamber of Secrets sets, so nostalgia play a big role on me. I like all the tiny cured details of the set. Minifigs are very good, I particularly appreciate Dumbledore (he suggests me the first Dumbledore in Hagrid's Hut with Hagrid, how many played hours!). I don't like Riddle, still prefering the book version I have. And I'm not so enthusiastic for the general appearence of Chamber of Secrets and basilisk, but I could change my mind when building the set. It was 7/10, now for me 8/10.

I'm with you. Of course, Lego could have followed some strange path... but I would be truly astonished not seeing golden Dumbledore, Hagrid and Malfoy. I mean, they're creating an entire celebrative wave of sets, with golden minifigures taken from the 2001 sets they're going to celebrate (apart from Voldemort, easily explainable inclusion)... ... could they really included a golden Quirrell and not golden Dumbledore, golden Hagrid and golden Malfoy? Who, creating a celebrative collection of minifigures, would included Quirrell, but not Dumbledore, Hagrid and Malfoy?

Yes, for what we know I won't appreciate nore buy any of the August sets, but still I liked Hogwarts Moments in January and I rate June sets good (nothing really exciting and nothing I expected, but average quality sets). I suppose Lego took the excuse of an anniversary to try doing something different, hitting different target buyers, extend Harry Potter license exploitation and see reactions (sold sets and revenue). Obviously they think is a bet they will win. Every person who is disappointed by this year sets will certainly buy Gringott even if it will come in 2022, won't he?

With no doubts we can say that "Lego give us surprising sets this year, terrible yes but surprising" (cit. Garrick Ollivander, more or less) Just a joke. I don't think this year sets are so terrible.

Well, thinking about Hogwarts Icons (if there's a connection between the name Guyon reported "Hogwarts Icons Collection" and what the set will contain), I would say something Houses related. Brickbuilt Four House animals? Thinking about Harry Potter in general, I would add to your list Horcruxes, maybe the 3 connected to Hogwarts Houses (locket, diadem, cup) plus Gryffindor sword).

People are not much more angry now, cause they were much more angry in previous pages. You and @Guyon2002 did a lot to keep expectations low (by the way, thank you ), so anger and frustration have been diluted into more pages and now people are simply resigned to a not so good Lego HP year. Try imagine what would have been reactions if we had discovered all about June wave in late April and then all about August sets in summer... no prelim info, no prelim images, no prelim minifigures... only prices and pieces count. I think we would have seen flames coming out from our screens... I would be a liar if I didn't say I had good expectations on this year, following the past years pattern. I was astonished when first info come out, but I understand Lego decisions. Then seeing June sets prelim images I said: "Oh, well, not too bad". Then info about August sets started coming out and, well, I was already prepared to the worst case. And now I'm waiting with serenity for official June sets presentation and some more specific info on August sets. I already know that I won't buy most, if not all, of the August wave, but I'm some sort of a lucky person, cause not being a completist I find simpler avoid a purchase. But I just discovered BrickLink... and I already know that spared money will fall through that hole

100$/50$ for a leaked image... ... oh, that's something I will never pay for . I really prefer to wait and use my money for some BrickLink purchase, than to pay (or being cheated) for a leak.

@Yope The more I look at your personal Hogwarts, the more I like it. It's really nice.
-
Is it possible that both Gold Quirrel and Gold Snape will come in June and not in August? Or Lego simply put their images as a teaser for August sets?
-
How many golden minifigs! That's what happens when you use your philosopher stone in the wrong way Not really interested in these minifigs and these won't change my evaluation of the sets, but I think it's still a nice way to remember the anniversary.

Oh, that's really nice. How many details in so little space... and the reference to the original castle... fantastic! I love library MOCs too! I will share here my Hogwarts Library when finished. At the moment I'm mostly satisfied with final digital appearance. I have to take a look into BrickLink and do some orders, then I can start building. If I have time, in the next days, maybe I'll share some other library piece of furniture. Oh, and I really like how you create Pygmy Puffs!

Hi, today I want to share with you some little digital creation I realised for a project I'm working on (Hogwarts Library)... ... at the moment only on Stud.io, but in future I would like to brickbuild it. Some floor lightings and table lightings... ... some wall and ceiling lightings... ... and a bookcase. Who have built Diagon Alley set will immediately recognise what was my reference in building the bookcase and putting in books Illuminazione 1 by Brick Matit, su Flickr Iluminazione 2 by Brick Matit, su Flickr Libreria by Brick Matit, su Flickr

Hoping not to be in error, cause in these days we had a bunch of contraddictory infos: - 250$ is the D2C, at the moment not known what it is; - 60$ should be the chess set; - 40$ should be brickbuild Fawkes; - 120$ should be brickbuild Harry and Hermione: - 30$ should contain Hooch;
-
Just a curiosity, people who suggest a 250$ set based on Gringott, what do they expect? Only Gringott (but wouldn't it be a too much big building compared to Diagon Alley shops?), Gringott plus dragon or Gringott plus an other building like Leaky Cauldron or Borgin and Burkes or other shop? Making some consideration, obviously not necessarily true, like: D2C is a playset set; D2C celebrates the original waves (2001-2002); D2C represents something really iconical... ... I can think only to: - Hogwarts Express; - PS Gringotts (maybe with Leaky Cauldron); - Quidditch Pitch. Considering that my basic assumption could likely be wrong, I think that Lego will surprise me. I hope in a positive way, but I was already happy with June set (and recent leaks increased my pleasure). What I really hope, but this is a common opinion I suppose, is that whatever Lego produces it will be a tremendous, horrible set or a must have set
-
Time to go to bed, here, but hey it was a very interesting day I can not wait to see all revealed. It will be a long and exhausting waiting
-
As an example, 853373_Kingdom Chess was 328 pieces.
-
I just think he's hoping new leaks will arrive tomorrow. Or maybe @Guyon2002 has a better interpretation on his own statement...
-
I suppose that after today a lot of opinion has changed
-
We all think that a Chess Set should represent the PS Chess Challenge, can't it be only a Wizard Chess set?
-
What a movie! That's an unexpected plot twist!
-
Thank you very much! When I have some free time, I will post more.

What a bunch of leaked images! I really like them.

This is my first attempt to photograph a minifigure and share it on this site . I've choosen Peeves simply cause I created it just yesterday, having received Metamorpho minifigure, which I used for the head. My references have been PC and PS Harry Potter games, from which I took hint on Peeves appearance. Hope you like it! Peeves by Brick Matit, su Flickr

I know this is a strong assumption, but I think that a lot of us would agree with your statement. End the theme in 2 years covering the most iconic and important locations, scenes and charachters, then going on with remake). I believe that wishlists and speculations about this year can confirm that (DH sets, Durmstrang Ship and second task, Gringott, Battle of Hogwarts... Karkaroff, Skeeter, Pomfrey... most of our ideas used to go in this direction). But Lego is an enterprise, Harry Potter theme sells very well and they will try to squeeze out more money in every way. For example making an entire wave (June one) with clear nostalgic purpose, but giving people what they know (or suppose) people want (Chamber of Secrets, Hogsmeade, Fluffy...). For example trying to produce different type of sets for different consuemer targets (August wave, but also art sets). This could be a good thing, spreading interesting sets with interesting charachters in a longer time, saving my wallet; or a horrible thing, with endlessly rerelease sets with just enough new stuff (like a new character or variant) to get people to buy it (as @Guyon2002 said). For what we know at the moment, I will buy June wave sets and probably avoid some of the August sets, cause I'm not interested in brickbuilt creatures nore in brickbuilt charachters; for Hogwarts Chess I want to look at the set to decide, but maybe a no-buy for me. I didn't want to write some sort of sermon, but I'm not sure I managed to .
