The same thing I suggested yesterday
-
Oh, I like this new McGonagall. Hogsmeade is at the moment my favourite new set.

Having a look at new Tom Riddle... I don't know if this variant is more movie accurated, but I still prefer the former. I don't like the stripe part of his outfit and how it abruptly ends before the hips, while in the old minifigure this part continue in the lower part. Grey legs could also be more movie accurated, but looking from behind Tom doesn't seem wearing his robe but a black sweatshirt with hood. Still prefer the black legs. And for his face, I appreciate the new second expression, but prefer grin of the old one to the new main expression. Well, luckily I've already bought the book with Tom Riddle. Not a good minifigure this one, for me.

From what you and @Guyon2002 have said to us till now, I won't be surprised for strange type of set Lego will give us and, at the same time, I will be surprised (in positive or negative way) seeing what Lego has produced. But, hey, let me play... the strangest thing I can think at the moment is... Quiddditch brickbuilt chest, with brickbuilt Quaffle, Bludgers and Golden Snitch plus Madam Hooch minifigure.

75956_Quidditch Match is no longer available on Lego shop, so I wouldn't be so surprised seeing Madam Hoock in a Quidditch Match (even with a Flying Lesson outfit). By the way, her first Lego appearence was in 4726_Quidditch Practice; Lego maybe decided to remake that set and not Remebrall one.

Well, Harry and Hermione have smaller ears...
-
Fawkes is 76392_$60.
-
Well, I could stand a non canonical scene with a living unicorn
-
Yeah, too perfect!
-
Funny thing: my second comment here a month ago was "One thing I'm thinking about: where's Hagrid?" A Detention in Forest set would be really nice... if they put Fang, Firenze and an unicorn.
-
Well, the most logical and representive choiche would be Harry and Voldemort, I suppose. But this wouldn't be weird. ... mmm ... Oh, well, maybe Harry and Hagrid like in Diagon Alley
-
Oh, well, what a full of revelations day!

Anyway, Hogsmeade is from POA movie.

I don't see Hogwarts Chess being an expansion to June sets. For a good movie appearance chessboard I think that at least a 32x32 baseplate is needed. Wouldn't the chessboard be out of scale compared to other sets? Obviously one can always put sets as he prefers But yes, I think like you that it won't be just chess. It will be a hard waiting till the next infos .

That's a good point. Simply they produce different type of sets for different niche market (obviously they can always fail, but I suppose they do research on market like any other entreprise). In my case, for example, I'll never buy Hogwarts Crest (nore one nore four). I'm not interested. And I suppose children aren't interested in this sets. But adult HP fans probably yes, maybe even if they're not Lego fan and don't collect HP Lego sets. Simply, children and I are not the target for this set .

Yes, that's (more or less) all.
-
Keep low your expectations and you'll never be disappointed . Sort of common people wisdom. Even if I prefer dreaming... ... always remembering that a maybe is not a sure.
-
Harry Potter saga is a close universe (talking about 7 books and 8 movies). I suppose that filling this thread with ideas, we could guess the right sets before August So I give my humble contribute for the 120$ set: Ford Anglia Creator Expert. Not even knowing if it would be possible (number of pieces...)
-
Hogwarts Chess? At least I've guessed a prediction... not sure I will like that. Not really interested, but maybe Lego created something unskippable. Are we expecting a golden minifig even in this set? I mean, the 2001 wave had 8 charachters (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Malfoy, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Snape and Quirrel.), plus Voldemort 9. So one per set. Unless they won't put golden Hagrid, but this would be strange. Quirrel would be logical, but I suppose someone else would be better for marketing (e.g. Dumbledore)

I think, in this case, it would be something between 852293 Castle Giant Chess Set and this old Idea [https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8d10ae8a-dd03-46de-b049-37174f840a62].

Yes, Lockhart is full of outfits I haven't considered that in my comment, only remembering movie scenes in which he appears (and I was forgetting petrified Mrs Norris discovering, Harry's detention, Ginny's kidnapping discovering).
-
Oh, just seeing Cornish Pixie. Are we expecting them in Chamber of Secrets sets, aren't we? Nice fig, but it wouldn't change my prelim rating on that set (8/10). Hey, but this is a Lockhart triumph - Diagon Alley signing book scene; - DADA Class with Cornish Pixies; - Chamber of Secrets scene; What it's missing? - Dueling Club scene, but this could be inside the Great Hall in Chamber of Secrets set; - Quidditch match scene;

Thanks!

I know that probably no one of you can answer, but how could happen that this person has minifigures? Someone inside Lego sold them to him?

I don't like Cho skin tone and make Padma with Cho too... ... the problem is that I have too much Cho! I could create not only Padma, but even Parvati, their mom, aunts and grandmas!
