For sure, I wonder why it's a Target exclusive and not just a D2C? Seems like an odd choice, considering how many people are going to want it. Hope you can get your hands on one without too much trouble, it looks fantastic. I see a lot of people complaining about the T-Rex, I think it looks really good considering the scale. The Ford Explorers look really really accurate, too. Just a great set overall. -

Yep. Expectations will be warped to an unrealistic state and then when Cody is inevitably absent from this wave, the scorn will be rampant. Not that he couldn't be included in some set we don't know about, but I have zero expectation to see him this summer at this point. -

I'm excited. This T-Rex set came out of nowhere and all of the sudden we get a reveal. It's much more enjoyable than hearing about a set months in advance and agonizing over seeing the thing for awhile. Thanks for the info. -

Exactly. I'm confident about the things they're confident about, and excited about their speculations. Still waiting for some reputable site to speculate a new "Bounty Hunter Pursuit" with Zam as one of the forthcoming sets... -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Holy smokes, I am beyond excited for this reboot. I played the Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine PC game growing up, in addition to loving the movies. I got zero sets during the theme's initial release. If this news is true (I'll believe it when I see a couple more leakers verify - no offense, just trying to tether my excitement), I think I'll be getting every one of them. -

I got 3 battle packs online this morning, but the accessory packs are still listed as "coming soon". It's strange they aren't available, but I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to get them. -

Definitely buy. I am building it and it is a joy. It's great as a display and I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a build this much. Lots of variety, not too repetitive, etc. -

Man, this list is exciting news but I also really don't like getting it in December. It gives a lot of people on this thread and the rest of the web a lot of time to think about what a $470 set, etc. could be, then get their hopes - conscious or subconscious - set on something that probably isn't going to happen. -

It's hard to say, but I would likely go for something like that. I guess it would depend on the rest of the wave, too, whether I'd want to put all my $$ in one basket for the D2C, or if the other sets are enticing enough. I think LEGO trains are cool in general; a LEGO Hogwarts with a motor would be pretty cool. -

And there was much rejoicing! I am currently building the model and it is as good as people say, yes. It returned to stock in the US briefly this week but sold out again in a matter of hours. That's a good sign, considering the initial message from LEGO was that the set wouldn't be re-stocked until post-Christmas. I would suggest signing up for their stock alerts, it's a helpful way to follow stock levels. -

My thoughts, too! It seems like a perfect year to release another AT-TE and minifig scale Gunship. I wonder how releasing another Gunship would affect the sales of the UCS version, though. Please, please let one of these be a new Zam's Speeder chase set. That's a bit of a holy grail for me, and I'd be thrilled to see what LEGO can do with it so many years after its initial release. I am really excited to see what the $529 set is. MBS Endor would be great. -

I'm thrilled with these new AP rumors. Not lame at all in my opinion. I get the feeling some people on this thread refuse to be content with anything less than perfection The Hoth will balance the Snow Trooper BP, and the AOTC will fill out my system scale Gunship really well - I've been wanting P1 Clones for awhile now to be able to do this. And maybe it means AOTC sets for the summer, with 2022 being the 20th anniversary. -

Wow, that's a lot. It makes sense, for such a big city and high profile store. I'm going to go to my local store about 2 AM, 4 hours before opening. Overnight temp is 29 degrees. The things we do for LEGO! -

Just talked to my local LEGO store here in OKC. They will be receiving 21 copies of the AT-AT for Black Friday. Someone called who lives four hours from the store and apparently will be leaving at about midnight to get here! Not sure how early I'll be going, but our store opens at 6 AM and I feel I may need to be there a few hours early to get a copy. -

It's pretty fun to go back a couple of years and read discussion threads on future sets. I tried posting a screenshot of this post from CapnRex101 on Brickset from September 2019, but couldn't figure out how to get the picture size correct. Anyway, note his comments about the Gunship, the AT-AT and Luke's Landspeeder. Amazing that we got two of the three this year, and the third is on the way next spring. I have no idea what LEGO will do with the Landspeeder, but I'll likely pick it up as long as it isn't dreadful (not sure how that would happen, honestly): "Luke's Landspeeder was referenced in several comments but the options displayed above were more popular. I could have provided more alternatives in the poll but wished to avoid including too many options. With regard to comments about an AT-AT, I have also spoken with set designers who have suggested that may not be possible using the pieces which are currently available. Even so, the demand for that UCS model has to be acknowledged here and the introduction of new parts could enable LEGO to produce an official UCS AT-AT in the future. There were some suggestions which I found surprising, the most notable being the LAAT/i Republic Gunship. I love that vehicle and past LEGO versions have been superb. However, I struggle to imagine what an Ultimate Collector Series rendition may offer to surpass other models, especially since the earlier models are minifigure-scale and minifigure interaction seems important for that kind of vehicle." -

That sounds like fun! I am guessing our local store won't have much more than 10; that's about how many they get when big new releases like Titanic or UCS Falcon start selling. I'm honestly not that interested in the GWP, so if I miss out on that/the AT-AT at first it's no big deal. There's just something about getting it on release day that sounds really appealing. Two weeks away! -

I'm wondering how early I'll need to get up and get to our local LEGO store to pick the AT-AT up on Black Friday. Anyone with any ideas? The store opens at 6 AM... maybe be there by 4 AM?! I think this set will be popular, and with the GWP there will be an initial rush like there as with the Falcon. -

Absolutely stunning model. Minus what will likely be some repetitiveness in the build with the 4 legs, this might be the best Star Wars set of all time for me. It's close with the UCS Falcon, whose build may be more interesting when compared with this. There are so many factors that go into pricing, I honestly don't know what to think of $800. Perhaps the net weight is as much as the Falcon. Perhaps the new moulds upped the price a bit. Perhaps the licensing ups it more than we realize. I don't know. I'm fine expressing grief over such a high price, but until I know more about pricing methods I'm not going to be angry at LEGO. I really hope people will see this for what it is: perhaps one of the last great and enormous Star Wars OT models they may ever release (fingers crossed for a similarly monstrous Nebulon-B in the next 2-4 years). I'm going to soak it up. -
Finally got to see the ship in person - it's as wonderful as advertised! If you're still on the fence after a solid review like this, see if you can't see the set in person. This may honestly sway you if you have the chance to see it. Thanks for a good review, VBBN.

I got to our store in Oklahoma City, OK 1.5 hours before it opened. I was sixth in line! The store had a sign indicating they only had 11 in stock, and the line outside the store was up to 11 at least an hour before they opened. Store employees just assigned us numbers, then had us pay and haul the enormous box out of the store. I was a little surprised at how many people were there, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime sort of set, I suppose. I only saw about 5 or 6 people who wanted it and got there too late. Who knows what stock will be like leading up to Christmas, but I hope people who want it before then can get it. The bright side is... this thing will be around for a while, and if you didn't get it today or on pre-order, you'll almost certainly have a chance in the future. I'd wait until a double VIP day to snag it - I think that'd come out to almost $60 in VIP rewards.

Head over heels for this set. It's simply stunning. What I really like without even seeing high-res pictures: 1. A full, highly-accurate interior 2. Posable legs 3. Dual-molded legs for General Veers 4. Nearly all pieces devoted to the actual AT-AT, without any huge side-builds, etc. 5. Speeder bikes included You can even move the neck and the large laser turrets on the front. I'll probably like it even more once official pics come out. This may be the greatest Star Wars set of all time, minus the high price. -

True, that would look pretty cool. Maybe you will be able to set up some sort of scene with the troopers. I'm wondering if the inclusion of Luke means a side build for a snowspeeder.
