  1. Wow, this is fantastic news. I have a feeling the high amount of snow-troopers points to an interior? Honestly not sure why they'd include so many if they were only for display. This is exciting news! The rumor is a reveal date of Nov. 9th, so I'd guess a day or so before we can expect to see some leaked pictures.
  2. It looks like the UCS AT-AT will be revealed Nov. 9th. It'll be a long 8 days, with an extra hour thrown in for daylight savings time
  3. Wow, again not surprised but what a disappointment for everyone not in the UK. Good for UK residents, I hope it is fun and the prize lives up to the hype.
  4. Same here. I'm intrigued, but not terribly hopeful for anything interesting. I've become a bit cynical with HP LEGO lately.
  5. Goodness this thread is insufferable sometimes. News comes out that the "big thing" at year's end for the 20th Anniversary is just a contest, I come on here anticipating some good discussion, and the thread devolves into some ridiculous tangents about the HP books and a HP actor, neither of which have anything to do with LEGO. Is anyone as frustrated over the "big thing" being a contest that will likely award someone a bunch of HP sets they probably already have at this point, limiting the "big thing" to maybe 1-3 people? No new set? No new video game? Where is the ire, people?!
  6. Not surprised either, tbh. I am glad I didn't get my hopes up. Pretty disappointing, but happy for others who are excited.
  7. Oh gotcha. Yeah an updated version would be wonderful.
  8. Really really skeptical we're getting another set for 2020, if only for the fact that's what I really want it to be, and my hopes tend to be the opposite of reality when it comes to LEGO HP. We got a HP video game just 3 years ago, they wouldn't do another one so soon would they?
  9. Pictures of the new Titanic are making the rounds. If that's releasing in a few weeks, and UCS AT-AT is releasing Black Friday, I'd expect pictures to begin circulating in a few weeks. I know many are getting appropriately excited for parts of the winter/spring wave, but I'm still pre-occupied with what I anticipate will be one of the greatest LEGO Star Wars sets of all time. I can't wait.
  10. Yep, definitely can see your point of view. I grew up with my favorite Star Wars being AotC , which has since changed to ESB. Still, I enjoy watching the prequels and would love seeing more system scale/UCS sets from those movies. I can see the disappointment, but I guess I take a long view with this stuff. Prequel stuff isn't "in" right now, but I have to think those sorts of sets will have a breakthrough sooner than later. So, I'm willing to wait and see what this next year is like before making a call, prequel or not. And if this year's sets are a snooze, more money for the better (hopefully) PT/OT sets down the road (not a fan ST, but that's just me).
  11. Yeah, I think that entitlement/"LEGO hates my context" comments are what frustrate me more than anything. I get this thread is for all sorts of comments, but it's discouraging seeing so much instant ire against unreleased waves... sort of saps the excitement of it all.
  12. Yep. The disdain for these sets when none of them have been released, no photos have been leaked, and the titles aren't even final feels a little petulant. Honestly, 75% of this thread anymore seems like people griping about things they don't like/don't think they'll like and it's a little tiring. Hoping for the best with this winter/spring wave, but if it's as bad as many here seem to believe it will be, I'll be happy to save up for something else.
  13. MBS style, maybe? My guess is probably something tying in with Book of Boba Fett.
  14. Promobricks just published their story on the set for anyone interested: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-ucs-landspeeder-erscheint-2022/129968/ It looks like it'll be Luke and C-3PO. Maybe they'll release a polybag of Beru as part of May the 4th?
  15. Any chance P2 Cody enthusiasts finally get their wish with one of these rumored SW accessory packs?
  16. One thing I'm wondering: the instagram post from promobricks where the rumor originated says, "Check out promobricks.de for detailed set descriptions!" However, as of my typing this post, I still find no rumor story posted to the promobricks.de website. Is that normal? And, as with every set, I'll wait to decide until I see a UCS Landspeeder to make a call on it. Could be pretty cool, who knows.
  17. I'm curious about this as well. First thoughts were 1) unfamiliar leaker, and 2) that sounds like a rather uninteresting helmet. Same shape/build as Boba with less color and detail, right?
  18. My thoughts, too. Not sure how much my expectations for a Peach Castle take away from my enthusiasm for the actual set, but the initial photos look rather uninteresting. Maybe there's a neat, hidden feature we can't see yet? I don't know. Even if there hadn't been rumors about Peach's Castle circulating, this would still be a little underwhelming. I'll wait for the official reveal and all details to make a final assessment.
  19. Yep. Also, didn't mean to get us off-topic or dig up something that was meant to remain buried. I just felt the situation needed addressing. Moving along, MKJoshA
  20. I see LEGO removed the UCS Gunship designer video from its YouTube channel over fan complaints. The complaints? Hans in the video referred to the Gunship as OT instead of PT, and referred to the Clone Commander as a figure that could double as a pilot. These mistakes are shocking, considering LEGO's prominence in the toy market and their professed attention to detail. Still, I cannot help but think the anger is disproportionate to the mistakes. The set is superb, and I hope blunders regarding nomenclature and logo misprints don't take away from that fact. Hopefully the backlash will prompt LEGO to take more care with the mistakes they're making, but these mistakes should in no way detract from this great set. Just my $0.02
  21. The UCS Imperial Shuttle can also fit four minifigures in the cockpit. Really hoping at the very least the AT-AT cockpit can open to fit the pilots and Veers.
  22. Perhaps the Hoth BP is an olive branch of sorts to the owners of Insult Assault on Hoth to beef up the "Assault" aspect of the set
  23. This might be a stretch, but I wonder if a Hoth battle pack coinciding with the UCS AT-AT release points to an interior for the UCS AT-AT. It'd be a great way to cram your Walker full of snow-troopers for (relatively) cheap. Sorry, but I don't follow...
  24. Fair enough. This year will be the first in a bit that I've added anything DC, and in addition to the AT-AT and possibly the Titanic, my budget might be full for next year before 2022 even starts!
