  1. Ok, thanks for the info. Please forgive the speculation!
  2. I guess they take Brickset listings as gospel? I do wonder why Brickset would even bother listing the set anymore if it was cancelled. Do they normally list cancelled sets?
  3. That was my thought. Perhaps 75303 is a UCS Razor Crest and 75331 is some MBS set.
  4. Brickset is listing 75303 as a UCS set slated to release in 2022. Is there anything to this? This would be the second straight year with 3 D2Cs in the theme. Brickfanatics seems to think this will be the case.
  5. I agree. If it were somewhere between $150 and $180, I think LEGO would see a lot more people willing to purchase it.
  6. Now that would be something!
  7. I'm also considering buying multiples, but I don't think there will be a dry spell for that long. They're re-introducing the theme with some consistency, and between the 3-in-1 castle, Medieval Blacksmith and the 90th Anniversary Castle I think they are priming fans for a larger line soon. Who knows, though.
  8. Sounds eerily similar to "Hogwarts Icons Collector's Edition" Also, I assume you mean 76405?
  9. Yes it does. This is really frustrating. It's just silly to have this super-hyped event and take away many people's only incentive for coming. The GWP's are great, but their retail value is nearly mitigated by the VIP rewards lost without the double points promotion. I get that the secondary market will help for those who sell the extras, but I actually want to keep these things.
  10. Only double points on "selected" sets? What a letdown. Double points are most of the reason I even bother getting anything Star Wars on May 4th.
  11. UCS Landspeeder pics have leaked. It looks great, but not terribly compelling in the way most other UCS ships do. I'll be picking it up and can't wait to see better pictures. Also, it looks as though there are only (2) GWPs - Beskar Keychain for $70 and Lars Homestead for $160
  12. I wonder if there won't be some sort of homestead set released in the next couple of years. So far the UCS Sandcrawler is the only set to include either Owen Lars or a Threepio variant with his restraining bolt printed on the torso. A homestead set would be perfect for both those figures, as well as another one for Beru for those that pass on/cannot afford the GWP set with Beru. That said, I think the homestead would be difficult to pull off, being split-level and quite spread out. And, honestly, I don't see much play or display value in a moisture farm. It'd probably be best as a few different rooms rather than trying to do the entire thing.
  13. I get this, too. At the same time, I think LEGO is struggling to come up with Star Wars GWP promos that really interest people, and an exclusive minifig is one of the only things that gets people excited anymore. The $160 threshold is high, though. I think if they'd made this the $60 gift people would be a lot less upset, but also far less likely to think about getting more LEGO on May 4th, which is LEGOs primary goal - profit. Making fans happy comes into play at some point, but making the most money possible is their bottom line as a company.
  14. Yes, I believe the value is excellent. The incentive is strong with this GWP. I think people would have been happy to have just gotten Beru in a polybag, but the extra build only sweetens the deal, in addition to getting Luke and an AT-ST polybag. This really is the best May 4th GWP I can remember in a long time. Well done, LEGO.
  15. No, there is not a source. Those who insist "everyone wanted Cody" have no empirical data to back it up, just pent up frustration and wishful thinking. Fans asked for Cody and Jedi Bob, and fans asked for other figures, too. I actually requested Mace and Yoda; Mace is my favorite prequel character and I thought we might get a cool Yoda variant. For all anyone knows, the two characters included in the Gunship could actually have been the two most requested. Until stats are released - and I don't think they'd ever do that - it's pointless to insist LEGO ignored the fan vote when you have nothing to indicate what the majority of fans outside of this forum and Instagram voted for.
  16. So, Holo Bricks Archives posted on their instagram it's a moc, not an actual LEGO designed model or even a prototype. Oh well. Move along.
  17. So, any thoughts on the UCS Nebulon B prototype (or finished model?) spotted at LEGO headquarters in Billund today? Here's the link to the Holo Brick Archives article for those interested: https://www.holobrickarchive.com/2022/04/does-lego-have-a-ucs-medical-frigate-ready-to-go/
  18. Well said. I could see this being what happened. As far as Gringotts goes, here's something else to keep in mind: Per Brickfanatics, Diagon Alley isn't scheduled to retire until at least December of 2024; should Gringotts be in the plans in the next couple of years, DA would still be available to pair with it. I just cannot see Gringotts being completely overlooked.
  19. UCS Razor Crest would not be my first choice for the next big set, but if it turns out to be the fall $530 set, I'm excited. Along with the Gunship, I think that speaks to LEGO's willingness to do large vehicles that aren't necessarily as iconic as something like a TIE-Fighter and might open the door even wider for more UCS sets outside the OT.
  20. You're right, it did leak really early. Most of the forum was in the dark about where he fit until the DA reveal I think.
  21. Yes, except for the fact that the author calls it a "thesis we think is very credible". This could mean "we think Fulcrum is credible" or "we think the thesis Fulcrum is positing is credible, independent of Fulcrum who also happens to be putting it forward", or perhaps both. Not meaning to be nitpicky, but their article isn't necessarily just parroting what Fulcrum said. It sounds as though its their own, independent assessment of the rumor that has been added to Fulcrum's, but perhaps I am wrong. Either way, if the rumor is true I am excited for a huge HE.
  22. Stonewars has just published their take on the rumor. From the article: "A new rumor that was published today on the usually well-informed lego-fulcrum Instagram account now puts forward a whole new thesis that we think is very credible: the new LEGO Harry Potter D2C set is said to be a large and probably very detailed version of the Hogwarts Express and train station!" Sounds like the rumor is legit
  23. Logic and heartbreak for the win
  24. Jerac's is 4,888 pieces at minifig scale, so I guess $530 with the Star Wars tax isn't out of the question. This just feels way out of left field. Razor Crest would be worthy of UCS, but I'd have to think there's a few other ships higher on people's wishlists. Personally, I really hope it's not true. I'd much rather have an MBS after two straight massive ships last year. The r/legoleaks thread referenced above lists the rumor's source as "brickcatch.com", but a quick visit to their site has zero information on the 75331 page which would indicate the set is the Razor Crest. Zero trust in this rumor at the moment.
