  1. I think I'm part of the minority that likes the hammer more than the claws. To me, the Claws don't seem to work with the overall size of Onua. I do like the Smokestack Idea, though. Something along the lines of Onua Nuva's weapons would have worked best, IMO. Then again, with Tahu and Kopaka, those would've seemed too overused in the 2015 line. Also, although it's nice to have some variety in overall shape for the Toa, I'm not sure how much I like the big, hulking look for Onua. I much prefer the smaller look along the lines of the rest of the Toa (something like Onua Nuva would really be better, IMO). I do really like how the Gold Masks look on these figures. Much nicer than having a wasted, extra mask that doesn't look good at all on the figure.
  2. I always just assumed that he was pushed. Seemed to fit the New Doctor's character. I'm guessing that's confirmation. Yeah, lots of unexplained plot devices in this episode that really only existed because the plot required it. Definitely my least favorite finale of the new seasons of Doctor Who. It was good enough, but a big let down from that lead-in in "Dark Water", which I thought was excellent.
  3. Could be. It's weird that they'd use a different character for the GL role, especially with a brand new one just coming out. Then again, they could just be using the game design. It's hard to tell, especially since I feel a Gardner figure would be weird to get before some other characters like Ra's Al Ghul or Red Hood, seeing as TLG loves using Batman characters. Could be a S@H bonus potentially, around the same time as MM was last year. Not likely, but there could be some Superhero fig around that time.
  4. "You'll have to point her out to me if she comes by. Gotta make sure my friend is being treated right!" He grins, then looks around, "So, you know the rest of the people here? They don't seem to look like the common folk you find around Eubric. Hell, I never thought Hinckwells would even realize this place existed with their noses stuck up so high,"
  5. Althior shrugs, "You mean here? I'm a bit 'out of shape' when it comes to women, so to speak. What about you? You frequent this place enough that you probably have a 'favorite'," He shifts his gaze upwards towards his companions near the doorway, then shifts his gaze towards Hoples. "Go make sure they're not in trouble, would you?"
  6. Some of the areas in the film do look like a darker shade of green. However, I personally think that the Sand Green reflects the feel of Erebor better than either Dark or Olive Green. IMO, the Dark Green LEGO shade looks a bit too dark to suit the green in Erebor, as seen here as kind of faded in a few places. A mix of Dark Green and Sand Green would work in a bigger structure, but I think with the model they have, sticking with Sand Green works just fine.
  7. Looks to me like both Superman and Supergirl have heat vision eyes. Works for me, seeing I never liked Supes weird grin from the Lex Set. I switched out that head for the MoS head as soon as I got it.
  8. Nice review! It's nice to see some pictures of the actual sets, opposed to just the box art. Tahu's looking pretty good here! It's nice to see some references to his former looks (mostly the Nuva form). Bit sad that he's one of the $20 Toa, but its not standing in the way of getting him into my personal collection along with at least Gali, Lewa, and Kopaka (though who can deny it, I can't stand to not get all of them).
  9. I really enjoyed the film. I wouldn't say that it was better than Wreck it Ralph (this plot twist was really blatant and obvious to me in this one), but still a very well done film. I found the short very nice too, but I wouldn't say it was better than Paper Man. I absolutely love that short.
  10. I think Batzarro is an odd choice for a figure, but I'm fine with it. There was no chance of getting a Bizarro figure anyways. The only reason we're getting a GL figure is because they were able to make a different version of him (Comic vs Film). Same with GA, however subtle the change is. Bizarro was an SDCC exclusive, and there's really not much room for him to change since he already matches with the other comic style DC figs.
  11. I really liked the Brigadier scene, but the rest of it was kind of eh for me. Seemed very over dramatic for my tastes. Pretty good, but we've seen better finale's. I have no idea how to feel about the gag at the end though.
  12. Really nice looking set! Disappointed by the lack of New 52 Superman, but otherwise it looks good to me. Maybe not a Day 1 buy for me (already got GL and the Javelin for that), but definitely one I'm going to try to pick up as soon as possible!
  13. "Please, even that makes it sound more glorious than it is. Most of my time is spent either at the bottom of a mug full of cheap ale or alone. Hell, this is the first night I've been out on the town in months. Nothing as miraculous as the life of a celebrity..."
  14. I've always been able to be pretty surprised when asking for LEGO sets for the Holidays. These days, I'm not really looking to get everything that's out there. I'll put on my list a big selection of set numbers that interest me (in years past I've been able to get 30 or so sets on there, though not all of them current). That way it's easier to get what I'm interested in, but also able to have the surprise factor. I do usually get some cash instead of sets too, so it's a bit nice to have something to fall back on if I don't get what I'm looking for.
  15. Althior lets out a laugh "Spoken like a true man. I'll drink to that. I had something 'serious' once. What a complete waste of time." He chuckles, "Seems you've got it figured out though. Why waste your attention on a 'meaningful' relationship when you can dedicate it to your craft or something that actually matters,"
  16. Agreed. That part doesn't blend with the torso print at all. Maybe that's why it looks off to me.
  17. I think the existence of the set is fine, as Ultron said, to please AFOLs, but I do agree that it is not founded on the original ideals of TLG. That, to me, is not a bad thing. The ideals TLG has have just shifted since its creation. I'm not sure even any licensed themes were in the original ideas of TLG, which was founded to suit creativity as much as possible.
  18. As stated by Flare, I absolutely love being on 116 so far. I really think all the no-nonsense that you're talking about really suits the style of the mystery. Especially with the Lotua right now, it's starting to seem like a noir film a bit, at least tome, which I'm totally digging right now. Excellent job WBD!
  19. I'm guessing that will be explained in the finale.
  20. Hair doesn't bother me so much as the lack of Leg printing. GL would've been fine without leg printing, but he got it nonetheless. I think GA would've looked much better with some leg printing.
  21. I'm honestly very shocked by this news. Psyched, but shocked. I thought BBT hadtoo many adult themes for a set. Glad I was proven wrong! I'm guessing we'll either get a cut out of Leonard and Sheldons room and/or that plus Penny's room. The latter is less likely, but is just as iconic, IMO.
  22. "Very odd situation we have here then, Mr Mando," He sits back, now at ease "Well then, you alone in the world? Surely there's a Mrs Mando,"
  23. My day just started, and I'm already sure this is going to be the highlight for me. He would just need to join Cronk's quest for Orc equality (if he ever came around anymore )
  24. Absolutely stunning! The posing is brilliant, and all of the different shades off colors used are undeniably fantastic!
  25. Nah. Takes out the suspense and excitement for the rest of us.
