Firestartoys sell custom torsos - just the school shirts with a loose tie. Very Prisoner of Azkaban-y feel to them. I have the Slytherin one and it's really good quality. Might help vary the students a bit.

Upload to Flickr and link to the image, I think there is a guide on the forum in the general section somewhere :) On another note, I got to a LEGO store!!! The chess set actually looked super cool built up. Sort of tempted by it now to be honest. The Icons set looked better in person, but Hedwig was the standout by far, sadly not changed my mind on that one being worth the cost.

@SoupOrFishOil I think your image link is broken :)

Mm, not sure how many unique variants of the trio we have left unless LEGO lean into DH, there are no teachers left without speaking roles once Pomfrey is out. Think we have almost every iteration of Dumbledore, Luna and Neville (very popular characters who show up every year in both CMF series). That leaves six gaps, I could see perhaps Sirius, Rita, a new McGonagall in black robes, HBP Draco, Kreacher and Tonks. But those are six minifigures that would sell a set entirely on their own, so yeah. I'm not getting my hopes up.

It's a shame really, I just have my opinion to go off but I don't think it will sell well unless Queer Eye fans pick it up. My boyfriend loves the show and it's his go-to comfort show (I gravitate to RuPaul or Kath & Kim), however even he feels like a set was wholly unnecessary but the minifigs are cool. He didn't understand that LEGO just don't produce licensed minifigs on their own unless in a CMF, which is a shame as I think if they were in some sort of CMF he may have tried to pick them up. Now thinking about the power that a Pride CMF would have had and I'm angry lol

I might end up doing that, or just paying a premium for the GWP if it's worth it. Part of me is thinking to just buy another Hogsmeade so that I can mock up a more accurate Three Broomsticks. The other part of me is hoping they just delay the GWP to January.
-
I am annoyed. I picked up the CoS set when it was 33% off from Amazon, and I think my family/boyfriend have picked up certain sets as Christmas gifts (I specifically asked for Fawkes/been told not to buy anything else lol) so yeah, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place unless they release in January 2022 I am even more annoyed that the GWP sounds amazing on paper

Same, don't like being punished for buying the sets when they actually release, scummy sales strategy for loyal fans to be honest!

I wont lie, around £120-£150 per build, thats with the creators (scarletpatronus - on instagram) stickers from eBay and instructions. The price is for no fault of the designers, a lot of that is shipping costs as well. Its pricey buuuut I dont really have any other hobbies that cost money other than books, and I would save up for a month or two before doing one. And I like them more than some of the official sets to be honest. You could probably get the price down by sorting the partlist and not doing the interiors if you are having it outward facing! I bought all parts from BrickLink, like Textorix said it goes into a wishlist and you have their algorithm find you a good price without having to search yourself. I do it all through PayPal too which is good.

I have built a lot of those Diagon Alley expansions. They fit in so perfectly with the official set, they are my pride and joy! As long as LEGO throw us a couple new minifigs each year I will be happy with what we've got, the community can do so much with the buildings now.

Your render looks amazing. You are really getting the silhouette of the castle. Excellent use of the 2021 wave too. I may try and build this in reality if I ever get the room. I've said it before but honestly the MOCcers in this community are SO good at taking the brand and creating new builds out of it, it doesn't matter that LEGO have given up on the design/have not released it yet, because the community are doing just as good a job at creating the additional pieces of the castle!! There are some insanely good MOCs on Rebrickable under the Harry Potter section.

Angelina Johnson in Quidditch uniform! Wormtail with a fancy mullet (think this has been done before) Dobby in clothes! A nice orange scarf and Robin's jumper from Lego Batman movie. Don't know what to do for bottoms. If anything can recommend a jazzy mismatched short leg let me know. Aberforth Dumbledore - WIP. Trying to work the kilt in but it doesn't go with a lot of other pieces sadly. This may be overhauled. Not even sure about the long beard. Albus Dumbledore - CoG. I saw this design somewhere else and I do like it, I think the tie doesn't suit but it's passable. Sirius when he is living outside of Hogsmeade in the cave. Bard the Bowman body. Sirius in 12 Grimmauld Place. Swapped the hair out for a shorter piece which I think works better for a smarter looking Sirius. Not photographed is an Arthur Weasley with his old face, I think it looks a bit better than the 2020 head. Not sure what's up next - I have plans for a casual Fleur, Millicent Bulstrode and Pansy Parkinson, young Tom Riddle, Xenophilius and Andromeda Tonks (if I can find a nice skirt piece).

I don't believe a gay wedding set would represent me either. Rightly so, every person in this thread has a different opinion on how they see themselves, their opinion on representation and what they want to see in a LEGO set! (Side note, I love that this community is here because I don't feel like I fit in any other stereoptyical LGBT community, and did not expect LEGO to have a passionate following) Anyway to get back on topic... I love the new pieces - love the torsos, the headpieces, the hair colours. Lots of potential here for minifigure customs, for me a lot of Hogwarts students and Order members/Diagon Alley visitors in the making here. Just don't think I'm going to buy the set itself, seems a bit costly and a bit awkward to display and I'm already struggling with the Friends sets. Definitely a BrickLink job for me. Also, the promo video LEGO released recreating the credits is like the best thing I have seen all week, so accurate! They nailed Bobbys dance and Jonathans hair flip. I love the tune!

If you are still curious about this I can do this and take some photos and post them on here? -
Loving all the new torso prints we are getting, and face prints with stubble. Definite standouts for me and may have to pick a lot of these pieces up for MOCs. Not a fan of the overall layout, it feels really boxed in at the back, and a weird shape overall. The couch area is a bit too cramped I think but I am nitpicking. I might just have to order pieces from this on BrickLink as I don't think I can justify the full cost. Which is a shame as I want to support the set but I can't justify it edit: the more i look at it the more my mind changes, think might be one to buy with my bf and build together rather than front the cost entirely lol!

I wonder (hope) if this is the Muppets? From a Harry Potter perspective, it means we can rule out his dream licensed CMF as the potential Fall spot, slightly less competition for a Harry Potter CMF next year (although I'm not getting my hopes up for S3 at all).

Haha, thank you! Bill is my favourite. I've got a few more in the works that I will post when they are done. The Slytherin team will have a few heads/hairpieces switched out as there's a few Flints and Malfoys in there but I was going for sarcastic and mean!
-
Thats quite big! I was expecting it to be smaller than the Central Perk set.
-
Sainsburys is good! I tell you what, B&M have the best LEGO selection I have seen, find a big one nearby if you can. They had loads of the CMF last year and loads of the new waves last time I went. I actually moved across the country last year and both B&Ms in both areas had great selection.

I would argue that its a touch more iconic than 12 Grimmauld Place. I'm clearly in favour of the set I'm just thinking about LEGOs perspective and what criteria they apply to sets, it might be in their "too dark" category of HP

Brilliant use of pieces there @dyl-and, I may do something similar! Here's some of my latest updates. Got more to come, working on young Dumbledore, Aberforth and the Gryffindor quidditch team. I especially like Sirius, it's close enough to his suit appearance in OoTP, and also looks a little threadbare which fits his character stuck in squalor in Grimmauld Place. Bill is another fave - I don't like the ponytail that's normally recommended for him, I just wish there were more scarred faces out there! This is Anakin's. The dark eyebrows let it down. I was thinking the old Lupin face with the moustache rubbed off, not sure if that is even possible though. Wormtail, Sirius and Neville Bill and Percy Weasley Ginny and Neville

The tapestry is the standout piece of Grimmauld Place, everything else could be MOC'd to be fair! Although Krimimimi's ideas are incredible too and it would be an instant buy for me if it was that detailed. I wonder if ifs not "wizard magic" enough for LEGO though, it is, after all, a townhouse :(
-
Could probably put enough in the set for several floors... Ground floor: Hall, Walburga photo, umbrella stand, dining room that opens out like the Burrow? First floor: Black family tapestry and drawing room, Boggart cupboard Second floor: Buckbeaks room, Phineas portrait? Third floor: Sirius and Regulus bedrooms

I understand your concerns, I just hope LEGO throw us a few new minifigures with each wave and I'll be happy considering we're in Year 4 of the theme's revival now. They clearly know about the minor characters existence so they might just be holding onto some such as Rita Skeeter for guaranteed sales among the collector market. I don't think we'll be getting a solid wave of PoA/GoF sets, LEGO have shown that they like to mix things up now with the Icons/Giant Harry+Hermione/Mosaic, so no doubt there will be some stinkers. That said I like the creativity of thinking of sets that fit with LEGO's strategy, some of the ideas are exciting... But yes we should keep expectations low. I'll throw my two cents in though. Brick-built Dobby, anyone?
