  1. To me this really seems like the most obvious choice for an accessory pack. Four characters all the kids in the shop will recognise. Collectors will want the set to pad out their displays. But Diagon Alley accessory pack was bizarre so who knows tbh. A HBP Quidditch Ron would be awesome, but with the uniform change I'd rather they just not introduce the new design, then we'll have two different designs with scarce robes for various houses across each set. Agree with Clone, perhaps in a CMF for a Ron variant. Alongside Hermione from HBP Potions class with the realllllly bushy hair please
  2. Ah of course. Without a broom, a full range of Quidditch torsos would sell anyway I'm sure. Boring but practical. Have they ever introduced new prints in an accessory pack? Death Eaters would be good as they could reuse some dark pieces from other themes. I would guess at OoTP Lucius, OoTP Harry and two masked Death Eaters perhaps. Accessories could include a snake, a prophecy, some magic effects etc.
  3. I'd prefer a new Quidditch based set with a bit of representation of each house, as tbh the only torso difficult to get is Ravenclaw. Quidditch!Cedric will soon be circulating via the book, that I know is due out in the UK in a few weeks (been delayed a few times) and seems to be out in some parts of the EU. I've already MOC'd most of the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams. The Diagon Alley pack was all recycled parts, so I do think a Quidditch acc pack would be an easy, colourful choice for LEGO to make. They might jazz it up with a new broom mould or some buildable balls, a hoop etc. Idk. Also has the bonus of fitting Harry into the set. Personally I'd rather they just find a way to make the Ravenclaw quidditch torso easier to get. A minor character set would be great. Arabella Figg, Mundungus Fletcher, another Harry and an Elphias Doge or something. (Although in the meantime I'm eyeing up Joe Pesci from the Home Alone set as the base of a Mundungus build) I think Death Eaters might be too dark, but I won't say no to that as a set because you could so easily mix and match torsos and legs to make a dozen Death Eaters, here's hoping.
  4. Neville + Luna Brickheadz makes a ton of sense, could see this!
  5. As long as keep getting obscure minifigures like Sinistra then I will still be interested! But you're right, there's only so much they can do with Hogwarts. I don't know how many more tan bricks I can look at on my shelf personally
  6. Built Fluffy's Encounter and the Gryffindor dorm. I really like the Fluffy build, I may end up buying 2 more of each asleep/awake head to be able to have him one or the other. As for the rest of this set... It's really frustrating how Fluffy barely fits inside the compartment. The harp is one of the ugliest things to come out of this theme I'm sorry but it's so clunky. I think it was lazy how they reused one of the Gryffindor robe designs (Harry/Hermione have the same one), would have liked another variation just for this set in particular so the trio had three different designs. Perhaps a messy tie to differentiate one of the torsos. I didn't think the sticker was that hard to fit inside the roof. The Devil's Snare is really mediocre. Overall this set was definitely not worth £35. I would even struggle to justify £25. Just really meh overall I'm afraid. The dorms is better in person, but the Chocolate Frog plate at the back really doesn't fit. I would have used that space for a wider window, maybe a Hedwig and space for a broomstick. I may modify this. I think the set could have benefitted from a bit more of a pop, perhaps Gold Draco or Gold Dobby would have worked in this set (yes I know they don't fit the theme requirements or whatever...) Overall I'm fairly happy, just know that the other sets will help pad this display out. I'm really hoping for something completely different in terms of Hogwarts next year, cos this year isn't doing it for me.
  7. I was going to, but figured it might be full of kids and people talking over the film as it's so old. We decided not to in favour of Coraline at home. Was it a good experience?? My LEGO order has arrived, still salty that I had to jump through LEGO's hoops to get the GWP which feels like a £10 set, but that's OK because it offsets the cost of Fluffy's Encounter which feels about £10 too expensive. I'm going to be annoyed now having loads of the 20th anniversary figures, but not Dumbledore, Hagrid and McGonagall, and I refuse to pay so much for that set.
  8. I hope they don't go one-off, I'd rather have a standard set. Just imagine the CMF potential of this You could do a 12-minifigure set off Michael Scott alone, but the likes of Blond Ryan and Florida Stanley would be awesome. I'm not a Funko fan but they've done a lot of obscure Office figures now. I know it will never happen but they could do so much with the theme.
  9. Ross from Friends' face is so good, one of my favourite LEGO prints. Easily recognizable Ross. Luckily the Friends have iconic outfits, with the Office that is harder unless they pay attention to detail like print Pam's tennis shoes, and get the specific colours of the suits right. Jim in a blue-shirt. Phyllis in purple. Andy in some Crayola nightmare. If they reuse the existing LEGO businessmen torsos it's going to look so lazy. Edit: I shouldn't say harder because when I think of the Office characters I generally think of their colour schemes which is testament to the costume design for something as mediocre as everyday office clothing. Like, Meredith = Green, Angela = Grey/White, Oscar = Grid-check, Creed = Grey, Kelly = Print/Fun, Toby = That weird brown colour. I just mean that they could be real lazy with it.
  10. Suppose it depends, Daily Bugle had 25 minifigs, Diagon Alley had 14? plus two Quidditch bodies for nearly 16 minifigs, so they could do a large amount again. Maybe they'll go really all-out with this and price it in the £200+ mark
  11. My e-mail came through not long after I posted this. Really odd that you haven't got one, but sensible to get a screenshot. I had the same mental gymnastics with the chess set which was the only way I was going to get close to £100 spend. The minifigs from the sets themselves are only around £10-£15 on BrickLink with postage, which would suit me. But the OH is going to teach me chess so I weighed that the set would actually have some value in terms of time spent using it. Also I suspect the Chamber of Secrets set is being tucked away for Christmas, so might as well go all in on the new castle system hence Fluffys Expensive Encounter + GWP, and save Fawkes incase of another GWP next year. I now worry that, I'll end up loving the anniversary gold figures and want to grab Hogwarts Icons for the gold Dumbledore et al. The Hedwig is amazing but the rest of the set is so meh to me, the wand looks unfinished and the scarf is insulting In the words of Ron Weasley, next year I have got to sort out my priorities. Think I need to start taking this hobby in the minifig-only direction and for really showstopping sets only. The Diagon Alley + MOCs are the pride and joy of my collection, the castle is just too massive and oddly shaped to ever get an accurate representation I fear. Can fit all the minifigs in a big container at least which isn't taking up room, either in storage or on display.
  12. Other than Erin, a later season character doesn't immediately come to mind as being all that relevant enough for a one-time set. You had the main cast of the office + Darryl when he was in warehouse from the beginning, then Andy in season 3 and then Erin in season 5. As for the annex crew, I hope they do get in, it's a shame if they don't, partly because the characters are iconic and also the actors were also writing and producing the show. I think LEGO will have thought about it like this: Main characters only: Michael, Pam, Jim, Dwight (100%) Important characters/fan faves: Andy, Darryl, Angela, Kevin, maybe-Ryan-but-can't-see-him-without-Kelly (I'd say I'm like 75 - 95% sure we'll get them) All the other original Dunder Mifflin employees: Stanley, Phyllis, Oscar, Meredith, Creed, Toby, Kelly (Maybe like 50% sure but I think it will be all of them or none of them) Less chance but still potential: Erin (40-50%, if they do the whole office they could fit Erin in reception and have Pam take up the empty desk in the set). Can't see it happening but who knows: Jan, Holly, David Wallace (0-30% chance of these, but all MOCable so meh) I will say about the main cast is you get a lot of diversity of gender, race, religion and sexuality, so LEGO might see it as a real win for their D&I numbers to produce the whole office.
  13. @BrickFunatic I managed to get the chess set online through checkout but saying it's temporarily out of stock and on backorder. Got the GWP too. Picked up Fluffys Encounter. I know it's £10 cheaper on Amazon, but mentally I'm just saying the GWP was worth around £10 I've had this before where a sets been out of stock when I've pulled a GWP, think it was A Christmas Carol or something. Thankfully I know they still send the GWP but the backorder set may come late Saved Fawkes for now in the event they pull something similar next year! @BacktoBricks didn't get a confirmation e-mail either or it showing up in my account yet, so I've saved the order number.
  14. For other ideas, I've got a Tonks ready except for a hairpiece using the Wanda Maximoff minifig from AoU. I think this will make a good Tonks, not movie accurate but something she would probably wear to a Weird Sisters concert or something :)
  15. Oh no, that's really frustrating. At least you have proof of the order against your account :( Edit: Ah at least it's being resent. Yeah getting to the stores is so frustrating, I don't live in a city so I feel the struggle! I'm patiently waiting for the chess set to come back in stock so I can get on this deal. Although tbh just hopping on the train and walking into the nearest store on Saturday is seeming like a better option.
  16. Their customer service through email has always been really good for me, maybe shoot them a message?
  17. My local LEGO store isn't that far away, tempted to do the same on Saturday but worried that the extras will be out of stock then! And the Chess set is out of stock online, may just keep tabs on everything and decide what to do Saturday.
  18. I am glad you've mentioned that because I am in the same boat. Now I've asked for some of the smaller sets for Christmas and took advantage of the ridiculous Amazon sale on the Chamber of Secrets + other sets, my gut is telling me that I don't want to play this game LEGO have concocted to generate more sales right before Christmas. Like yeah I could pick up Fawkes easily, but then I'm having to justify £65 on the chess set which I don't think I'll use - would rather pick the minifigs up from BrickLink for 25% of the cost. Others have suggested picking a few sets up and reselling them on eBay to offset the cost, but I don't trust Royal Mail/Hermes to not lose/steal my parcel, especially with LEGO rattling around inside lol. Realised I was convincing myself that Hogwarts Icons was worth the money and just closed the tab down for now Think I need to have a word with myself!
  19. Thanks for the tip, I can't unfortunately but I'm not so fussed about that. I'm not even that fussed about the common room tbh, but I haven't brought any LEGO since the Friends Apartments and I am getting the itch!
  20. If they're still in stock at 7am, guess it's time for me to pick up the chess set, Fawkes and a keyring to bump me over the £100 mark
  21. It's more that if i lived in one of those cities I'd find it way more interesting/exciting actually going out and looking for clues as opposed to plopping myself down in front of a computer screen Not quite as fun but I may give it a crack.
  22. Even in the UK, another London event. At least Scotland and Wales got some look-in as they tend to get left out of stuff like this. Bit stuffed in rural Yorkshire though
  23. The standout detail from that image is the welsh national dragon on the base of the plinth. My current conclusion is it's just meant to be a dragon and someone in marketing/design has been lazy, but who knows. It just being a dragon opens us up to loads of possibilities, Norbert/Ironbelly/Triwizard Task etc. I also see nothing in the image linking it to the GWP. Perhaps the contest is to win the giant Gold Harry? Why is the Harry made of gold bricks? Is it 20th anniversary themed? Really interested to see how this turns out.
  24. He does yeah, it's just very very faint.
  25. I am starting to think the dragon was a very vague reference to the Triwizard Tournament, and someone in design just took the welsh dragon without realising it 😂 it is seriously throwing me off.
