  1. I feel the same. Probably going to get all the June sets and perhaps take down my current Lego Hogwarts castle and mix things up a bit, I only have so much room anyway and Diagon Alley + MOC Shops are my pride and joy currently. Will definitely get the Advent Calendar as it's something of a modern tradition now, Fawkes will probably be a buy and I imagine it might come with an exclusive Dumbledore or a Harry from CoS? I probably won't get the chess set but may pick up the minifigures on the secondary market afterward, if they are anything special. Brick-built I'm on the fence with, depends how they look and how big they are... I am running out of space and have had to take down most of my sets from 2018-2019 and package them up.
  2. Part of me is glad of a wave where I don't feel the need to collect every little thing, I may just keep an eye out for exclusive minifigures and carry on building custom MOCs, there are some quality Diagon Alley expansions being released by the community. My wallet is happy for the break!
  3. Yeah, I got several Cho's from the original CMF and just replaced a head with a Rose Tico head, it now is so instantly recognizable as Cho. The Cho in the student accessory pack is now my Padma too! Even the hair is more accurate.
  4. At least thanks to the Gryffindor robes we do have, it would be easy enough to custom make a Gryffindor team. I've got plans for Angelina, Alicia, Katie, Fred and George!
  5. There's enough Crimes of Grindelwald characters that they could literally do a 12 character CMF. Newt, Tina, Queenie, Jacob, Credence, Leta, Theseus, Grindelwald, Dumbledore, Nicolas Flamel, Nagini, Yusuf. From a design perspective that's a lot of three piece suits so they probably wouldn't do that, interesting to think about though. Perhaps they'll revisit the film one day.
  6. Also the Malfoy Manor/final battle I think she has dungarees on. They could have like Dobby's Grave as an accessory, not sure it would go down well haha! EDIT: Looked it up and there's several casual Luna looks we haven't got, none that are super memorable. But at least 2 from OoTP (Thestrals/Ministry) and 2 from DH (Malfoy Manor/Battle of Hogwarts). They have options. Neville also his OoTP look they haven't done (blue stripey tank top), could pair it with the Mimbulus Mimbletonia. If they do a Wedding Set they might want to complement it in the CMF with matching figs, sort of like the Ginny Slug Club dress minifig. Might be a way of giving us wedding Xenophilius and Luna, or the Weasley Clan. I think we're gonna see Dumbledore in every CMF, new fans are going to want to see the characters they know each year and we'll probably get some niche choice too, like Pomfrey or Percy. Not sure what Dumbledore outfits are left, maybe his Kings Cross look or something to do with his scarred hand (a grey hand?) and some sort of flame diorama from the Cave?
  7. These would be brilliant as it would give us Lockhart in his gold/beige(?) robes and a new mould which is excellent for a CMF. Pomfrey with the Skele-Gro would be cool too. Pomfrey showed up early on in the film series, and again later on in HBP and DH-Part 2, so I think it's a matter of time before we get her. Especially as we are getting Sinistra (Astronomy lessons appear in the books and, it says to me that the team know about and are prepared to make the most minor professors, so it stands to reason they know about Pomfrey and are saving her for the appropriate time. I don't think you'd get away with putting Sinistra in a CMF as only the die-hard would recognize her/recognize the name from the books. Just think this time last year we had no Professor Sprout who actually appeared in less films, now we have two. From Crimes of Grindelwald, I'd really just be happy with a young Albus Dumbledore, although of course you have some side characters like Nagini, Theseus, Leta, Yusuf and Nicolas Flamel, who has the added bonus of being rather important in the main series. Actually I'm surprised they made the carriage from CoG, and included Picquery of all people, but didn't do anything with young Dumbledore.
  8. Due to space limitations I have the astronomy tower, great hall and the clock tower all connected. I then have the RoR, Whomping Willow, and a few of the shorter rooms from the tower sets (yule ball dance, and the gryffindor common room tower piece) connected to form a sort of 'outer wall' around the towers. It looks alright!
  9. They could potentially do some other buildings or features such as the Owlery, an expanded courtyard or the covered bridge? Not sure how these would work in practice, the Owlery would be a standard tower but the only scene I remember from the films is when Harry and Cho bump into each other on the steps. Not sure the inside would have much interesting to feature either. The courtyard they could do a Harry vs Voldemort duel, or the Weasley twins flying away after wreaking havoc during the OWLS in OOTP. For the bridge, Neville and Seamus with the scene where Scabior and the others are attacking, with some sort of play feature that collapses the bridge?
  10. On one hand I'm a bit deflated that we aren't getting a full DH wave, but on the other we are getting so many iconic scenes from the earlier films that we haven't got in the modern wave. Particularly excited for the Chamber of Secrets set. Would have expected Pomfrey over Sinistra, who is far more obscure, but I like that they're mixing it up a bit and not just throwing in another Hagrid or something. I don't think Deathly Hallows as a wave is too mature, but I think they'll intentionally mix it with the anniversary this year and maybe more Hogwarts Moments set next year to get some of the more light-hearted atmosphere from the earlier films? We literally got Voldemort's rebirth complete with cauldron, creepy masked Death Eater with the long hat, and baby Voldemort, so I don't think DH being "violent" is going to stop LEGO. Really they just need to avoid Dobby's death, Bathilda Bagshot and Ron's splinching, I imagine. I wonder what the remaining sets will be? I don't think they'll do another Hogwarts set this year, which kind of rules out the courtyard or the bridge, which I think are the only major Hogwarts locations left out at this point. Maybe it will be the big set for next year? Gringotts being the big D2C is a possibility, I think they could sell Gringotts alone whereas the other shops in DA work best as a set. For the price though I'm expecting the dragon, and maybe some vaults underneath such as Harry's vault, the Philosopher's Stone vault and the Lestrange vault (maybe an empty Weasley vault?) (And maybe they'll do a second side of the Alley next year - The Leaky Cauldron, Madam Malkins, Eeylops, Magical Menagarie, Potage's, Slug & Jiggers, Borgin & Burkes/a KA offshoot are all options). The Tent scene with the lake could be a fun, cheaper diarama-type forest set like the Expecto Patronum or Aragog sets. Maybe a Ministry of Magic set? I'm also expecting another buildable creature ala Hedwig, perhaps a buildable Buckbeak, Fawkes or a Niffler? A Grimmauld Place diarama of the Black Family Wall? I don't know. I think LEGO are going to stretch the Deathly Hallows content out into 2022 as we are missing so many good DH figures like Bill and Fleur, Aberforth, Scabior, Neville and Narcissa, the Ministry disguises, the Trio have a few costume changes... they could even be keeping some of them back for a CMF next year?
