  1. Where do you find this statement on lego.cuusoo.com?
  2. I doubt they'll succed. But I'm sure we'll never know ... Just how many people out there are collecting BTTF toys? Not a place I'd start up a new business that's for sure
  3. BL has weight on just about every part
  4. I hope those 'quality problems' (did he/she mean quantity?) problems don't turn up in sets to be released
  5. I'll bet there are more fans of LEGO who are BFFT fans than the other way 'round Sure, this set is made of suck and CUUSOO is a sucky idea. TLG can design their sets just perfectly. This wannabe pleasing to the fan community is a laugh
  6. About now. I've got 250.000 parts/500 sets .. I can MOC without needing an essential BL buy, just the odd missing part here and there
  7. You forget that buyers of this set are over 30 pushing 40 .. AFOLs to be precise. Those creatures are not known to actually play with LEGO. They MOC and/or display .. this set will mean zero to TLG's usual target group That's why they're complaining about the rather crappy look of the hood. The "slope 10 6x 8" was just about perfect for this job ..
  8. I could, but this is a thread about TLG's flagships and they're not minifig scale
  9. Not possible to build it in the scale of the 8043 as no such huge wheels exists. Just look at that man next to that tire Also, they're mostly electrically driven. Those motors are powered by a generator which again is powered by an allmighty combustion engine. Not really doable with Technic parts It would also require a gazzillin panels ..
  10. I'm afraid I agree Don't understand the fuss, the parts are widely availabe at Bricklink, so why is the TLG release date that important?
  11. Right, TLG is just one of the most succesfull toy companies in the world for many years with one of the best customer services in any business You need to take a chill pill and get your parts of Bricklink instead. Your watchdog routine is getting tiresome, imho
  12. Don't use the ramps, just the curved pieces .. exactly like the link : Monorail tracks is quite flexible but needs to be attached firmly (much better than in the link, imo). Since the track will be curving both up/downwards and inwards some trickery needs to be done. I use Technic pieces for this Don't worry about tracktion You can also take a look at this : You can easily tell what's been build just looking at the pic(s). It's hardly a secret Btw, I think Mike Walsh is a member of EB
  13. Not so expensive, 10euro with stickers, 5 without. Now if it was the 2619 motorcover the auction could pay for itself
  14. I've found the that best way to search is to hit google and type site:eurobricks.com xxx ... xxx being setnumber/whatever you're looking for .. (important not to use space between site & : & eurobricks.com)
  15. 850, my first Technic set The problem with garbage/cement trucks is that they need a lot of panels (or specialized parts for the drum) to look good, imo
  16. Ask Jesus. Usually you hear; 'old wine, new bottles" .. meaning same old technology just new fancy dress to to put it in Loving the combo of pneumatics and LAs, about time. I think I'll get this one, green is looking great! Wheels not though. TLG should design (or use some old molds) as no truck uses lowprofile tyres like that They do seems to do what actual servicetrucks do. They're suppose to dig into the ground and provide stability when hauling up another truck. In that way, they seem to work quite well, unlike the new mobilecrane
  17. What is the point if that? Why not just use your PSU to power your GBC directly? You destroyed a batterybox, you could just have cut up a PF cable instead
  18. No need to get so defensive. We're did I, or Grogall, mention TLG policy? I just do not find it possible that any dealer does not carry those sets through the year. They're easily found in Denmark all year round. He is where I bought mine btw : http://www.klodskassen.dk/shop/search-1.html?keyword=winter
  19. I'm questioning you because you don't make a lot of sense, sorry Okay, so it's not possible to buy the wintersets in Germany after january, because they have been exclusive sets for three months on S&H? I don't believe that, sorry Edit : spelling mistakes
  20. I did. Does not compute. So no dealer wants to sell them from january and on? I have all the sets, I did not buy them during the winter So man, think about it!
  21. Seal it! Put it on ebay, that place is full of suckers Then cash in and buy loads of LEGO Done deal
  22. Yes we know that This will never be done by TLG. It has zero playvalue, is not an UCS set and TLG does not do chrome anymore Also, it's ugly. Imho that is
  23. Where do you se that describtion of the MF? Crazy that the X-wing and TIE is discontinued, they are so well designed!? Sure, TLG is going to redo them again in a couple of years, but why discontinue them in the meantime? This catalogue, and many before, sucks bigtime compared to the 80's and 90's. The frontpage is straight outta IKEA How about actually BUILD some dioramas instead of fiddling with digital pics? I was most certainly drawn to those setups as a kid, I really doubt this stuff could sway back then .. Edit : I think i'll have to do a test on my son That does not make sense. Why would they get the Winter Village sets a year later? They're widely availabe in the EU when they're released?
  24. I'd probaly use another place than my bedroom though I'm a smoker of funny stuff, but I do it outside. Then I take my space shuttle back in and start MOCing. Works pretty well allthough sometimes I end up on the wrong planet ..
  25. Thanks for the input. I'll think about the size issue. I don't want to do PDFs though ... anyway, I'll do some uploads in the near future and you can have alook at that and tell me what you think MikroMan, I got nothing to trade right now. But feel free to send me a pm and we can talk further
