Does it have one and a half cannon?
-
Yes, we've leaned not to get too carried away. Still, polybags is a bit pessimistic. There was talk of some kind of vote. Maybe Lego took inspiration from the Bricklink Designer program and when the amount of votes for a set reaches a critical mass, it is deemed profitable enough to produce a new version of the set.
-
There was a survey about a new type of VIP service where you can pay a monthly subscription and one of the perks was the ability to buy retired sets. I don't think polybags is a big enough draw for a paid subscription service and Lego has talked about re-releasing old sets again, I think they said if 50% of the parts already is in production.
-
Not helpful, but I have no idea. We didn't get that survey where I live either. But I would definitely be up for the chance to buy older sets. Partly because I came out of my dark ages only a little over a year ago so I've missed a lot of good sets, and partly as a big middle finger to all the scalpers out there.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Jiesdeo replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Someone linked to a blog post by StoneWars that did a comprehensive analysis of the voting. Even if you take that fact into account, both Castle and Space beats Bionicle.- 2,976 replies

Yeah, I guess. Barracuda Bay was discontinued a bit too fast for my taste (I wanted one more). I would like it to have an Imperial counterpart too.

Castle makes sense. If you group the votes from the first round into categories, Castle wins quite convincingly. Castle - 46892 Space - 38750 Bionicle - 24799 Pirates - 22896 Trains - 14855 Explorers - 14627 Adventurers - 13988 City - 9194 Model Team - 6397 Studios - 5179 Agents - 2807 Edit: I had hoped for Pirates, though...

Because Lego's 90th anniversary isn't until August.

At least for 60326 Picnic in the Park, Brickset has the note "An exclusive release set in many countries and not shown in the general consumer catalogue; also available from LEGO Shop At Home." I think the same goes for 60327 Horse Transporter even though Brickset doesn't have the same note for that one. Some sets seem to only be DTC and/or retailer exclusives. -

Yeah, it's great. It was launched during my dark ages, but I have bought it on Bricklink in later years. I plan on modelling my more modern police station in my city based on that design. The "office building" part. -

If they do an anniversary set based on Castle, I think it would be cool if it was a big tournament like Kingdoms Joust, but with one knight and one squire from each (or a selection) of the big factions: Classic Castle, Crusaders/Lion Knights, Black Falcons, Dragon Knights, Fantasy Era, etc. It could even have some Forestmen hanging around somewhere. I don't know if you could do something similar for Space or Pirates. Any ideas?

That pirate looks to be basically this guy from the last wave of pirates (set 70412) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=pi147#T=S&O={"ss":"SE","rpp":"50","iconly":0} EDIT: Nevermind, I see that it has already been pointed out.

LEGO Creator 2022 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Jiesdeo replied to TeriXeri's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's a shame we only get around one building per year. These are usually great (maybe a bit too "crowded" in some cases) and full of useful pieces for MOCing. I usually buy a few of each set since I think it's more fun to get pieces from sets instead of Bricklink or Bricks & Pieces/Pick-a-Brick. -
It's available on Bricklink at least.

Same here, but City sets' windows usually come in trans light blue, so I think we have to look for it in Creator sets (maybe some Friends sets) to get it in trans clear. Let's hope the double doors appear in the upcoming Creator 3-in-1 Noodle shop set. -

I think it's probably based on a the French Peugot 402 L taxi seen in films like "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "An American in Paris", continuing the French theme of the set. -
Any news on sets for Lego's 90th anniversary?
Jiesdeo replied to Jiesdeo's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ah, thanks! I see it now, sorry. -
Last year around this time there was a huge (and somewhat controversial) vote on Ideas about what the favourite old themes of the fandom was, with speculation that we would get some sets that revive old themes to celebrate Lego's 90th anniversary. Since then it has been very quiet on that front as far as I know, does anyone know any updates on this?
