  1. 40589 Pirate Ship Playground Official box... The Youtube channel Stud City is reporting an upcoming somewhat pirates-themed GWP called "Pirate Ship Playground".
  2. I wonder if this torso is exclusive for BaM or maybe a torso that will be used in the rumored Pirates set? Maybe there will be a Imperials fortress with a pirate skeleton in the dungeon just like there was an Imperial soldier skeleton in PoBB?
  3. No, I wasn't the one asking the question.
  4. When asked if it could be PotC, the leaker said they "think" it's Classic Pirates.
  5. r/Legoleak recently banned posts from @lego_insider_news however, so I'm still taking this rumour with a grain of salt.
  6. Obligatoy: https://youtu.be/ZL-5uyp44WA?t=82
  7. I bought 3: One for the boat, one for the island, and one to keep in the box. I was on the hunt for a fourth (for parts), but it was sold out everywhere I looked in Sweden by then (in August), and no new batches came out until it retired at the end of the year.
  8. It might not have sold well in some markets (my guess is mainly in the US), but here in Sweden it was sold out everywhere several months before it retired.
  9. The fact that Lego Ideas apparently has been rejecting Pirates and Imperials themed contributions since a while back (according to some blog post) lends some credence to this rumour. The reason for rejections has been stated as too much similarity to an existing Ideas set, i.e. PoBB, even though that one has been retired since quite a while back. It could literally mean a re-release of PoBB, but might as well mean a similarly themed set. If that is not the case, I don't really understand the rejections in Ideas. Other than Lego just being jerks, that is.
  10. Keeping my fingers crossed for this to be true, but we'll have to see. I'm hoping for an Imperials set; a remake of Eldorado fortress would be great.
  11. What a depressing read. Regarding the closing remarks in that article: Since that was written in 2021 and we are now in 2023, that doesn't seem likely (or at least there should be something really soon, but there are not even rumours).
  12. Sabre Island has won the (purely for fun) Brickset poll on which classic set should be revived for a GWP with 17% of the votes. Whether you like GWPs or not, let's hope Lego takes note that there is a desire in the community for pirates/imperials.
  13. Another Pirate themed Ideas submission was rejected today (Armada Port). So no hope there. https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/354659d4-9a5d-49f0-8636-60fa945ada39
  14. Stupid Lego luring me out of my dark ages with Barracuda Bay and then teasing us with the 90th anniversary poll where Pirates+Imperials placed at least 4th, but then not having anything except a (to me) disappointing Creator pirate ship for three years. Even though I bought three PoBB it's not really the same buying the same set over and over. I need at least an Imperials set to go with it. Could a Knightmare Shark Ship mean it's more of a medieval themed ship than a pirates era ship?
  15. Sometimes I don't understand how Lego thinks about stickers, or at least their thinking is a bit short-sighted at times. For example, in the 2022 Fire Station (60320) there is a sign at the top that is a sticker on a panel. Then this year they have the 4+ 60375: Fire Station and Fire Engine, which has 1x4x3 bricks, printed with the same logo as the Fire Station. So those could have been used already then! Wouldn't a bit of foresight have been good? Also, this year there are two police trucks that are using the same sticker on their blue bonnets (piece 4294739: Plate 4x6x2/3): 60369: Mobile Police Dog Training and 60371: Emergency Vehicles HQ. Wouldn't that merit a printed piece? That could have been reused on so many police sets as well. Especially for fire and police there should be a lot of printed pieces that could be reused over and over again for several different sets.
  16. Things can also be Japanese without being anime.
  17. Ninjago is definitely based on Japanese culture. It's not like there a whole genre of anime called Mecha/Robotto or anything like that. With obscure franchises like Gundam, Full Metal Alchemist and Neon Genesis Evangelion....
  18. Maybe a horse in one of the sets? Either the mobile clinic or the vet clinic.
  19. Would it be possible to merge this thread with the already existing one? LEGO Creator 2023 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
  20. Ah ok, thanks! I'll fix it in my post.

  22. I remember that at least Palace Cinema had stickers, so if there's a lot of graphics, modulars won't be exempt.
  23. Some points and thoughts from me: Overall, a very "meh" modular, but I like the (hopefully) printed parts Very nice to get a new instrument mould with the bass! Soon I'll be able to build a full symphony orchestra... Or maybe not. (I had hopes for a trumpet though) The pizzeria uses Part 30044: Window 1 x 2 x 2 2/3 with Rounded Top, which currently doesn't have a corresponding glass part. Do you think we will get that as a another new part in this set?
  24. Good points. Is the torso print new? It would be strange of Lego to spend money on a new torso print for a 9.99€ set. Edit: As a one-off I mean.
