  1. I would. The set us is such that the gazebo and bridge scenery can detach! Further, is that the gazebo alone can be plucked out of the set on its own - the lead (?) designer demonstrated that in a YT video, and explained that people may want to display it by itself. And yes, as someone pointed out earlier, The Council of Elrond set is a joke compared to this new set but people are still after it. Thanks for pointing out those stickers! I think that for a set that is supposed to be as 'grand' as this one, stickers should be banned. I could understand stickers on the Speed Champs series - keeping the costs as close to a certain price point as possible. But if you are selling a $500 set and there are stickers??? Lego, I hope you are listening - imagine being served reheated instant pizza in the first class cabin of a flight! Our world has never been perfect. But yes, we are now living in a very different world (from two years ago, prior to covid). Everything is now so expensive - especially the already costly Legos.
  2. Yes, as much as they are in 'uniform', each character had a different 'design' to their outfit. Not the like some of those Avengers sets.
  3. So, which major and supporting characters from the LOTR and Hobbit movies are pending to be released as minifigs? Which major characters from the book do you think are missing as well? Yes, voting with the pocket! Harry Potter... as noted on the quote below: Just wondering if you are using IKEA cabinets? Which ones? I'm hoping it fits my Regissor. The ModuCase and TerraVault are just so expensive!
  4. Great analysis and I am with you on buying the set on day 1! Really great points and suggestions! As much as everyone is disappointed with the price, including myself, I do wonder how it may be possible to carry out making this set at a much lower price tag? The only way I could think of is to release Rivendell in multiple sets that assemble together. I think that would be the only way to make it into, perhaps a dollhouse-style structure. They could have done two sets for the main building and a set or two for the grounds. Then again, Lego appears to hint that they are somewhat 'testing the waters' with this set. LOTR, at least in Lego form, does not seem to have as big of a following than HP or Marvel. Disadvantage to us fans. Mamukil and Smaug would be great!
  5. I know that Lego wants to tie-in a lot of sets with the MCU for better recognition by the general public. But many die-hard fans will of course want some classics as well. I hate to get another set with all minifigs in the same uniform, just with different heads and hair pieces.
  6. How about a 'mixed perspective' vignette - almost like a skyline in the background with a scene in the foreground. That way, it would still be minifig 'scale'
  7. I wonder how much is Lego's market share in China compared to all these third parties and bootlegs?
  8. It would be interesting what consequences they impose. As much as it is 'nice' to hear about these leaks, sometimes it worries me too that third party (fake Lego bricks companies) will copy these ideas before Lego can release them, and in the end scare Lego from producing their original idea.
  9. Hoping they might be semi-printed, and not just blank.
  10. Gauging some interest in the X-mansion? Maybe Lego was spying on these message boards? LOL Yes, Sentinel and Blackbird for me, too!
  11. I wonder if Lego will initiate a witch hunt for the source of the leak? Lol Maybe they have some spies around here? Lol
  12. Would people here rather have a lousy X-mansion with figures we have been rooting for for the past 5000 years? Or no X-mansion/ X-men at all??? I'm getting in, if only for the figures!!!
  13. As much as these are "leaks", there are still possibilities that these do not end up in production, no? After all, the survey is technically "market research"? Although I have to concur that the Snow White cottage and Maleficent Dragon vignette do have great chances of getting release in some form, due to the leaked CMF lineup. (And goodness forbid they end up being minidoll themed ones, with the minifigs in the photos as mere placeholders!) I really want these two sets but I don't want to end up being disappointed with their non-release later on.
  14. Exactly what I’m thinking! Really hoping for that castle!!! But please NO mini dolls!!!
  15. What is the likelihood that a minidoll set will become the flagship Lego set for Disney? ...replacing the Cinderella castle and the Train and Station?
  16. Minidolls with the castle would be a LOT disappointing, but I think I'd still NOT buy it. LOL I think the whole point of Lego releasing them in the dolls line is to appeal to the younger crowd and not have to re-make them as minifigs. As much as I have been tempted to buy the Frozen castle, I haven't. It only gives Lego more reason to not give us minifigs.
  17. According to a Reddit leak, that item number is $49.99 Princess set. The retired Cinderella castle was $349+ when it was still listed. I don't see any set of that price point amongst those rumored. Also, if there were a substantial Snow White set, with a cottage and the seven dwarves, wouldn't that be $200+ as well. The most expensive set number leaked so far is $149.99 for 'classic animation.' I doubt that would be any of the anticipated castle, etc. Edit: Just saw the YT video saying that 43225 is a $160 set with 1808 pieces, but still most likely mini-doll based.
  18. Saw the initial photos. So tempting to start collecting Disney Brickheadz, but I missed out on the initial ones in the series like Mickey, Minnie, etc. and they are going for $$$!!!
  19. Hopefully these rumors are true and not just a survey. I would be interested in the two dioramas and not the brick builds.
  20. The official 100th anniversary day is October 16: https://disneydiary.com/2022/12/major-disney-anniversaries-to-commemorate-in-2023/ I wonder if we will see the largest tranche or the most special items closer to that day than earlier in the year?
  21. I began to question whether they would really make a Sleeping Beauty castle... apparently Disney only has four 'flagship' castles: 2x Cinderella, Orlando and Tokyo (retired Lego set, and re-made into the current micro-build) 2x Sleeping Beauty, Anaheim and Paris Castle of Magical Dreams, Hong Kong Enchanted Storybook Castle, Shanghai The latter two would mean there would be multiple princesses featured that would duplicate some in the CMF series. And the one in Shanghai is probably too big, anyways. I think the one in Anaheim might be the best size for a good piece count/ price point?
  22. Makes sense! But why would Princess Aurora be in the CMF? And Maleficent was in a previous one? Could it be that the rumored Sleeping Beauty Castle come out with the three fairies and the prince? Or perhaps we are not getting a castle?
  23. All this suspense is killing me now!!! LOL I really feel like the CMF series are most likely the characters they could not fit into sets they will be releasing, but complement the sets as well. Example, if they release a Snow White cottage, the iconic Evil Queen had to be released but just does not fit the vignette.
  24. I do hope Lego makes a male contemporary to this female aristocrat - that way we can recreate some of the vignettes at Versailles. LOL
  25. Maybe a sub- sub- theme of Disney? Like something from the Pixar shorts line?
