The Villains set is already on backorder at Lego.com!!! It was on pre-order a couple weeks ago and I forgot to put my order, and the next day the pre-orders were closed! So I made sure to order mine last night when it went on formal sale on the web site. Now it is on a 60-day backorder! Hopefully this convinces Lego to make the 'other' half of this 'bookend'. LOL That looks like 'hybrid' castle. LOL Does it really exist in real life??? Haven't all the set numbers been accounted for?

I think Disney itself may have had a large role in the choice of castle...

Lego has been doing a good job keeping the lid on any leaks… perhaps as a result of the previous leaks of potential sets for next year

I would prefer an building for a BBQ joint. There have been so many ice cream trucks that look like food trucks, and in the end they will all look the same. LOL The botanical garden looks so good, why did Lego have to make it a Friends set??? I love minifigs but I cannot say the same about minidolls.

Doesn't Prince Adam in his Beast form count for diversity? LOL All the rumor pages say that in addition to the four couples that are *probable*, there are "at least" 4 more minifigs. So perhaps it could be possible we get more. Lego in-house sets get as many minifigs as they can. Is it typical that licensed sets only get fewer? The Daily Bugle got 25 minifigs and it is about 1K less pieces than this castle... maybe we ought to get more than just 12 minifigs. LOL

Ditto. Ditto. Will buy duplicates of regular sets even, just to get this. LOL Was thinking the same - Mickey and Walt may appear in the Castle, although I would also be relieved if they don't. I am hoping that the last two in this case would also be a princess + prince pair and perhaps most likely (hoping as well) that it would be Belle and Beast. Jasmine and her prince have appeared in previous CMFs, and they need to tie in Gaston with some set.

I am hoping to just BL the King Triton minifig from the clamshell but that alone is already over $30! I too, prefer not to buy the rehashed set, but might end up doing so just to get the minifigs. But we'll see... several of them might end up being 'repeats' of the CMF!

A year? I scrolled through the previous Lego Ideas blogpost and it seems the Tales of the Space Age, for example was in the roster of submissions May 2022, then announced around August, then released this month. I guess the real question is the amount of time Lego gives each designer, and their design team to perfect the engineering of the design. I imagine that they may want to release an item sooner or later, depending on the theme.

With 43230 being the Walt Disney camera, we only have one more ‘substantial’ set and three smaller ones unknown… Any guesses? Kinda bummed out with the info about the brick-built fireworks accounting for some of the extra bricks on the castle. Those are better off in a printed background.

Expensive set to just get Walt alone. I would not mind it if it included more classic characters like Oswald's friends or the regular Mickey gang in 100th outfits.

I work in healthcare and I could never understand why Lego keeps making hospitals that have see-thru glass walls! I think a post office is long overdue. I remember from my childhood that post office was somewhat of a regular Lego theme.

The engine intake looks a bit weird.

Not a minidoll collector, but noticed that the recently released "princess battle pack" does not include Snow White, Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella. I wonder if this means that there will be another minidoll set for the 100th anniversary? I believe most if not all those minidoll hairpieces have been used on their minifig counterparts. So I am hoping that those minidolls that have not yet crossed over to the minifig side, soon make it!

I wonder how much of a prototype the leaked Cinderella is. The three skirts seem to have varying printed sparkles. (The actual CMFs were much better looking than the leaked ones.)

If she ends up with the large skirt, then I think all princess in this set should? I guess they kept all the princesses with a ‘uniform’ skirt piece. No problem with me… Lego has an excuse to make another set with classic-accurate dresses. Hoping they would in the future…

Hoping Lego won’t mess up this set! There’s been several large superhero sets lately which are flops.

Not sure if the modular line is supposed to not compete with the Friends line, but I believe someone did mention that a theater was at one point considered? I feel like if the Modular line is supposed to not compete with Friends or City, then the selection list would be so short.

Really hoping that the next modular would be less controversial as the Jazz Club (many complained about the color combination). Rooting for this... although I would really prefer it to be a true modular and not just dollhouse style with the back open. If going by what has been featured in CMF Series 24, perhaps we might get: -school or daycare (girl with rocking horse) -potter's studio (potter) -zoo (koala guy) The other minifigs have some links to recent releases, albeit non-modulars, like the carrot guy who may represent the organic shops, etc.

I guess this explains why the Rivendell set also had to be that big to fit in the entire fellowship.

I would definitely pay $250 for this. LOL

Looks quite detailed and accurate. Wish there were more minifigs, and that the 'front' had interiors as well.

I feel like the ground floor on the Markets set is a bit bare…seen some vids on YouTube.

Love the angles and the overall design. First thing I thought of was finally I can have somewhere to house the Ice Queen CMF... then I saw this happened to be another Black Falcon outpost. LOL
