I didn't know you could do that with Google. Yeah, HF does pale in comparison to BIONICLE, Ninjago, and Chima's search rankings, but I decided to compare it to a few "normal" themes too (Atlantis, Galaxy Squad, Dino, Monster Fighters, and Alien Conquest) and the only one which ever reached HF's numbers was Atlantis, and even then it was only briefly (I guess because they had that special?), so I would say that Hero Factory had done a pretty good job.

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions

I don't think that's how it works. That would be TT doing LEGO's job for them, and though TT can make things look realistic, they are not actual minifigure designers. -

I wanted to share this from the LB3 game thread. Since Sinestro and (probably) Brainiac will be produced next year, I think some of the others could be appearing in sets. Beast Boy doesn't have printing on the side of his legs, so he could be one. I am expecting Martian Manhunter because of his game redesign (though he has the poly bag legs here). I wouldn't count out Harley Quinn or Supergirl, but a lot of the others seem unlikely to me (even though I think that Catwoman is amazing. ) Edit: Beast Boy has printing on both the outside and inside of his legs. LEGO can do that, but I think it's unlikely, so sorry about that. -
The vast majority of lines these days must be unprofitable then.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
LEGO has actually been able to print on top of feet for a while, though I can only think of one occasion where they have with normal minifigure legs, that being the Horseback Rider from the Team GB figs, though I believe Woody and Jessie had it first with the longer type. I guess it's sort of like how they teased the ability to do printing all the way around a head with Lobot, but haven't use it since (even though it would have really helped a few figures I can think of). I really wish these fancy techniques would get more use.... -
Even the Joker has standards when it comes to Comic-Con!
SoupOrFishOil replied to Lind Whisperer's topic in LEGO Licensed
I am on the side of the fence that thinks murdering people is worse than keeping toys away from them, especially because if they come from Joker they probably do just that, or worse. I suppose it's all in your perspective though. -

Rocket sort of reminds me of that shirtless Darth Maul minifigure from a few years ago. I don't do a great job at keeping up with LEGO Star Wars, but if I remember correctly didn't it first appear in a SDCC set as a perceived exclusive and then later get somewhat wider distribution? -

I think Hawkman does have boot printing, actually. I love both of their game designs, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for them appearing in sets. -
Oh, I agree there. But isn't the photo sepia toned? (Or maybe some similar technique, I'm not much of a photographer. :P)

I don't care what you say, I think that looks amazing. (Acting is TBD though.)

Oh, wow. I like a lot of what I see, but I still want even better pictures to judge. I like that the Toa seem fairly diverse amongst themselves though. I'm still not sure if the Defenders are Matoran (or Turaga) but I hope so.

I know on LDD that trans yellow and trans yellowish green are nearly indistinguishable. Might they use the same RGB/Hex/etc. values on S@H as they do on LDD? I'm sure they wouldn't put trans yellow on GL's jet. -
Sorry, but you might want to read the photo's caption. :P It does look good though.

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions

I don't think that the set is really that great, but the minifigures and the simple fact that it is the first actual DC set since SMnWWvLL really goes a long way. I am disappointed by Sinestro's hairpiece, but I can live with it. I hope we don't have to wait too long for more news. I really want to see if we will get more of the characters from the game. Edit: I just noticed Sinestro has gloves. Now I'm actually glad I got a Lady Robot. :P -
I think that poster is the equivalent of the Marvel variant covers, so while we might see some of those characters next year, it will just be a coincidence.

This sounds like fun, but I don't think I will contribute much because I don't want to get my hopes up for LEGO going with something similar to my own ideas. I would like for the Matoran to play a good sized role though, whatever happens. I think that they added a nice layer to the story.

Ah, I thought you were saying that LEGO stole from Christo. Sorry about that.

I suppose you could say it is their fault that people go for the bootlegs (which is probably a fair accusation), but LEGO isn't actually making anyone do anything. I don't really blame them for turning to bootlegs to own the characters, but at the same time, they are bootlegs. I don't really agree with the ethics of the whole thing, personally. I don't think LEGO/TT used Christo's design, quite the contrary. Or am I misunderstanding?

I have been waiting to comment until there is an exclusive that actually makes me mad, but I want to say that this is how I feel, and I also agree with BFN a page or two ago. I might be angrier when we see the Batmobile or the other three minifigures, or one of the other extraneous 20 exclusives but right now? I'm fine. If I wanted Rocket Raccoon, I can get him. If I want him in his red outfit, I could just give him Star Lord's torso and red legs and I'd be content. I understand being angry over Phoenix, Green Arrow, etc., but I remember that last year plenty of people were resolving that if LEGO would just include variants and minor characters they could live with it. If I recall correctly, I think that Spider-Woman and the fancy Spider-Man, even though it is much better than the one that we have gotten, were swallowed mostly maturely. Most of the complaints were about Green Arrow, because people expected that he would come in a set and that not everything would have Batman front and center. I am surprised how many people are complaining about the Collector, but I guess it is just because he will be a minor character in a movie we haven't seen. Maybe I will get angry later, but so far I'm not feeling it this year.... I think people are free to enjoy the hobby their own way, but I can't promise I will have much sympathy for them. They probably want to use it in promotion for their booth. Or maybe it will be available widely later, but people shouldn't get their hopes up.

I couldn't get into the Ninjago series, myself. I have only watched the first few episodes, but that isn't exactly what I would want out of BIONICLE. Aanchir does bring up some good points, but Ninjago still seems to embrace the campiness more than I would like in a BIONICLE series. No, I didn't mind things like the taxi crab and I would actually love to see Tamaru return, especially with the rest of the chronicler's company, but I don't know how easily I could accept Lewa and Pohatu playing video games in between encounters with Ankhomu, who is raiding a village for candy. Anyway, maybe I should try a few more episodes of Ninjago to better assess what I would like and what LEGO might be willing to have done. I never did get as far as the episodes which it seems get all of the praise. That is exactly what I was thinking when this topic came up. That doesn't seem to be the kind of thing Cartoon Network would go for, looking at some of the shows they have cancelled, though if the toys sell well, there might be an exception. And the president and CEO who was seemingly behind that "toys and boys" policy was removed. Anyway, I guess, that maybe some other channel more receptive to that kind of show could pick it up, unless CN and LEGO have some exclusive contract.

I don't know about the portrayal, since I don't actually watch the show, but: After I jumped, I did get a good laugh out of the costume. I don't mind different, but I can't praise this just because it tries something new. (I'm only talking about the designs of course, like I said, I haven't actually taken the time to watch the show. I do have it on queue though.)
