  1. Too bad. I recently managed to secure a Lando with a great cape, and I've been looking forward to an update ever since. Hope Lego is listening!
  2. "Calling all AMC Stubs® members! Take your love of Lego® to a whole new level when you see The Lego Batman Movie in RealD 3D and get an AMC EXCLUSIVE Batman figure with your ticket purchase." Doesn't seem to say anything along the lines of "restrictions apply". Does anyone have any idea of what conditions we could expect on this? I'm assuming some sort of "while supplies last"? The earliest I can watch the movie is on February 25th, and there are no available showtimes posted for that date yet at my local AMC.
  3. Wow. I wasn't planning on collecting these (I already have enough in my hands trying to chase after Marvel, DC, and Star Wars figures), but it sucks that the SDCC designs will remain exclusive. I imagine a lot of people didn't buy them on the secondary market, expecting the designs to be re-released. The prices for the SDCC BrickHeadz will probably increase further. Oh well, I guess us Lego fans have started getting used to this feeling of "missing out" ever since Lego started doing exclusives. Nothing that can be done. That having been said, I do love the new designs, and I'm even tempted to pick up Cap and Iron Man.
  4. "All previously rare Star Wars figures"? I don't see them re-releasing Jango Fett with the old mould, any of the chrome figs, or any of the Cloud City figs. So, it's definitely not all. And when they do, it's good for everyone. If you don't have the fig yet, great, now you can have it. And if you do, why should you care, unless you like knowing that a figure you own isn't owned by other people (which wouldn't be nice to your fellow collectors)? Regarding the advent calendar, I'm disappointed by the "special" Christmas figure, if that's a regular BB-8. Maybe they think it's special because of the snowboard and the hat? I hope there's some special printing on the figure, because otherwise it's just lazy.
  5. Thanks for the pic of the Corn suit guy! Also, glad to hear they won't be making a matador figure.
  6. Oh god, please no. Matadores are one thing that I'm really ashamed of from the Hispanic world.
  7. Called it! There was no way they weren't doing another Milano.
  8. According to Google translate, corn cob is pannocchia in Italian. So, Itaria's TiCdP would be Tipo in Costume da Pannocchia. This to me confirms both the figure and the fact that Itaria gave the initials from Italian.
  9. YAS, regular Aayla Secura! I've been waiting years for this, refusing to dish out ridiculous money for the less than ideal clone wars version.
  10. It's too bad that Lego can't (or won't, I don't really know) reveal the list as early as we'd like to. Here's hoping that the list will be revealed within a couple of months, or even better, pics. Anyways, thanks for the clues, Itaria!
  11. I realize I'm arriving late, but I really want that UCS Falcon rumor to be true. Granted, I passed on the previous one because it was out of my budget and because it lacked an interior. However, given how iconic it is now to me, and how insane the demand is, I might consider biting the bullet.
  12. I can confirm I have a box with the same artwork, that I got on Black Friday. I was keeping it as an investment (I already opened one that does have the cape at the beginning of the year). But this suuuucks. Since Batman's cape was exclusive, if Lego discontinues it, it could become really hard to get the variant with the cape in the future.
  13. YAS! That Bane looks awesome. Also, for those of you talking about the Riddler's name, in Spanish there is no word for riddler either, so his name is basically "The Riddle".
  14. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Trust me, I'm actually kind of glad that Lego is releasing DC Girls, because given that I have no interest in these sets, it allows me to have more budget for the many other things they're releasing (or that I have to catch up with) that I'm interested in. I am 99% sure that I won't be spending any money on their take on Flash, but I'm happy for those of you who will enjoy it.
  15. If Lego is reading this, I SO hope they make something like that gingerbread lady! Thanks for sharing, Robert!
  16. Pretty sure the Red Hulk set is coming Jan 1st. At least that's what I remember everyone was saying.
  17. Yes, this is true. In fact, I remember reading one of the Lego DK books that specified that "not all Lego figures are minifigures", and it was talking specifically about (I think) astromech droids and the like. However, Lego itself doesn't use the word in such a strict manner. Anyways, is no one on Eurobricks going to participate? I was hoping to hear of someone with a huge collection going for the record!
  18. My guess is that they would require the third party to check against Bricklink. I agree that they would probably limit themselves to official figures, because otherwise people might inflate their collections for the record. The only scenario in which I can imagine them not caring about the figures being official is if they're looking at sheer number of figures, counting repeats, in which case some army builder probably would hold the record.
  19. I'm guessing for the purpose of the record they're looking at unique official figures. If the number of official figures is 8,900, then I guess that would be the cap. I'm preeetty sure nobody owns them all (that would be extremely surprising but possible), but 5,000-7,000 sounds like where the record probably is at.
  20. #14 Ahhh... Ronald Reagan? It can't think of anything more fitting to your clue, although I can't see it being a thing. If you combine it with #15, you get Benny (AKA 1980 something space guy). Hmmm, actually, could #15 be a spaceman? I've been been hoping for a recolor of the S1 astronaut! If not, I can only imagine it is an alien. We already have a lot of those, so I'm hoping it's another astronaut!
  21. It seemed odd to me that this record has never been featured in the Guinness book of world records, but it looks like that might be about to change. If you think you could be a contender for the record, apply here: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/431349-largest-collection-of lego® minifigures Personally I've always wanted to learn what size the world's biggest collection has. I seem to recall that there is someone who has around 10,000 figs, albeit not all of them were unique.
  22. We're in dire need of pictures/more info. Does anyone remember when we saw a list and when we saw pictures of the second series of the year in the past?
  23. Shoot, right before my trip abroad. Oh well, I'm sure I'll figure something out...
  24. OK, so from the silhouette I gather the mystery figure has shoulder pads and a cape, aside from the aforementioned beard and tricorne hat. If it's not a pirate, then perhaps it could be an Imperial Navy figure? That's my best guess.
