Collector or Builder?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Giantorange's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'd have sold the sets. With that money, one could buy even more sets for the kids to play, and maybe spare money for savings. -

That would be such a sad and petty reason not to approve it. I really hope that wasn't it... -
According to this document, it would be 960 ml of water and 40 ml of peroxide. In other words, x% peroxide means x% of the solution (in terms of volume) is peroxide.

I recently learned that in the general figure collecting world, it is well-known that most plastic bags are bad choices for long-term storage of figures. What happens is a lot of plastic bags, especially the ones for food, are not designed for long-term storage. A lot of them contain acids. In time, entropy does its job, and the plastic decomposes, releasing fumes. In sealed bags, this can cause damage to figures. Now, I've heard a solution is to poke holes in the bag to allow the figure to be ventilated, but I find this to be useless, since I am also trying to protect my minifigs against humidity and mold. It seems that the safest way is to get polypropylene bags, which are designed specifically for collectibles and are the ones used in bags for comic books. I found that info here: http://www.mhtoyshop.com/storing-your-loose-action-figures/ My question is, does anyone know if Lego figures are as susceptible to this kind of damage as regular figures? If that is the case, I have hundreds of little baggies to replace...

Haha, all right, count the Juniors ones. In my mind there are only 4 Batcaves. -

It just came to me that with the release of this Batcave, Lego will have released 2 Batcaves in 2016, as many Batcaves as it had released in total prior to the year! -

Exactly my thoughts. -
That's an awesome, classic figure. Although I've had a copy for years, back then I did play with my figures, so I wanted to get another copy to keep in mint condition. I got one myself off from Bricklink a couple of months ago.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Cool, new Vader transformation! I got that as a kid because I swore the figures in the set would be rare (I know, right?) . Will be nice to get a revamped version. -

Realistic, you say? You think it's realistic for someone to survive in the state that Harvey Dent was in and not suffer an infection, be able to speak, and not be in continuous pain? -

Bricklink questions
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Buttons's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It means the minifigs are really "untouched". Personally, I feel it matters more with minifigs that have capes, because those can get creases. When I'm looking for figs, I usually don't mind if they're assembled if the price is good or if the seller has a good amount of figs. However, having them unassembled is always a neat perk to have. Specially in the case of sealed polybags. -
21306: The Beatles Yellow Submarine (LEGO Ideas)
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nov 1st? That was unexpected. I have a feeling this will be out of stock for a bit after being released. Hopefully I'll be able to snag the figs (minus the Mr. Potato weirdo, no offense to any fans of the movie) without having to pay too much. -

Sorry VaderFan2187, I don't think we can help you here, since posting links to leaked pics is frowned upon by the mods here. You'll have to use your mad Googling skills. Good luck! -

Collectible Minifigures Series so far
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think Series 6 has been my favorite so far (with 9, 4, and 13 close). It just had so many figures that I was excited about and that didn't disappoint. Namely, the genie, lady liberty, the robot, the alien, and the astronaut. Plus a lot of other cool figures that I wasn't so crazy about but that I still thought were pretty well done, like the leprechaun, the mechanic, and the Roman warrior. -
Force Friday (30th September) promotions
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Richpepperell's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So the tracking for my package said it would be delivered on the 12th, but surprisingly I got up today to see that the delivery was updated to today. So I just got my package with Revan and the Shadow Troopers. Luckily no factory defects on the Revan. I didn't get any extra surprise polybags, but I already have 4 Spider-men. First time buying Lego Star Wars probably since the UCS R2, and first time I get one of the SW polybags with a purchase. Great experience! I have to thank everyone who provided info on the promo here. This was how I found out about the Revan fig and I wouldn't have it if not for Eurobricks. Now I just have to wait for the Malgus I ordered online a few days ago, and my Sith collection will be almost complete... -
DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't mean to start a debate here, so I'll just mention this quickly: I wish Lego did the same thing with SDCC that they do at NYCC and make the exclusives be early glimpses of future minifigs. I would much rather have them reserve exclusive minifig designs for polybags/films/books. Anyways, glad to know that the mini doll fans won't be cheated out of a character they love.- 3,020 replies
