  1. Lucky! A couple of weeks I drooled over 5 copies they had at my local Lego store!
  2. I agree with you that the hair looks a bit weird. However, I think that she more than makes up for it with the intricate printing and the color scheme.
  3. Elf maiden, because of her colors and level of detail. Red hood was close, though!
  4. So for sure that means that was S17 in the back, right? Otherwise it would have been out?
  5. The level of detail that Lego now puts on its figures is amazing. Truly we've come a long way since series 1!
  6. As always, a very impressive and thorough review! You make my favorite CMF reviews anywhere. I think what makes yours stand out from the competition is how exhaustive your reviews are. I really need to get this series!
  7. C'mon!!! This should be a clear win for the Space Villain! I can't believe the grandpa is winning this round. I guess not as many people loved that figure as I thought. Also, I'd say leave Series 17 out: we haven't had an opportunity to see those figures well.
  8. This might have been discussed before, but I'm confused. At the end of this article on minifigpriceguide, we see the following two pictures for an upcoming series (not 17): Why are both labeled as 71019 (which we know to be Ninjago)? Should we assume that the second (more recent one) is the correct one? That would explain the discrepancy in numbers (16 vs. 20) previously discussed.
  9. Really glad that we can now make light grey classic spacemen. Unfortunately, the helmets and tanks only exist in the light grey color, and not the new bluish grey used here. Still, great addition to any classic space collection!
  10. Well, I really doubt I'll vote for the Cheerleader, so she might have a shot at winning.
  11. By the way, the review from The Brothers Brick seems to indicate that the highwayman is completely ordinary and indistinguishable from a regular CMF character in its design: "However, I was expecting that the mystery character would be some obvious tie-in, or a particularly awesome character. It’s not. It’s a cool figure, to be sure, but if it’s a movie or video game tie-in character, I don’t recognize it, and it’s no more unique than any other character in this series. I haven’t faintest idea why LEGO is trying so hard to keep it under wraps. Despite being one of the 3 most common figures in this series, it doesn’t appear in any of the official material. Even the collector’s sheet with each minifigure simply shows a silhouette. I suspect that LEGO is trying to build hype (ala Mr. Gold in Series 10) without bothering to actually have an exclusive or rare figure. I can only assume LEGO has some special marketing campaign they plan to roll out over the course of the month that will explain it."
  12. What do you mean? We all come from cavemen! But we don't all come from kings. Vote caveman! This was a tough choice for me. Really like the burger man, the caveman, and the wacky scientist. But the caveman was more original, and when it was released I felt that it filled a void in the minifigure lineup of Lego. Plus, poor series 1 hasn't had a win, and it's running out of candidates. Well, I did help the vampire win an amazing upset against the crash dummy, so don't celebrate too soon...
  13. Almost, I'd say. Check the future series rumors thread.
  14. Awesome to know that WhiteFang's unmatched review is on the way! From the phrasing of the figure distribution and how people are referring to the secret character, I really doubt there is more than one version (plus the group picture only has one sillhouette). I think it's fun that Lego is doing this, even though us spoilery AFOLs will probably know what it looks like much before we find it in the wild.
  15. I've seen blind figure bags from other toy companies that show all the other figures to collect at the back and show one as a mystery figure. I always thought it was just a way to incentivize sales. Granted, I've just seen those bags in stores, so I wouldn't know if there were multiple versions of the mystery character, but I don't think that's the case. Here's an example: https://www.previewsworld.com/SiteImage/CatalogImage/STK673702?type=1
  16. Hmmm, so this thread previously got derailed with wild guesses over a non-existent figure promo, all because of a prank that wasn't even done on April Fool's? Honestly, that's not nice. Even for those of us who weren't trying to find out what the figure was, we weren't able to have a discussion on the actual news because those guesses cluttered the topic.
  17. The Battle Pod polybag, according to The Brick Fan, has been found in one of the Legolands in the US already. It's an old article so I don't have the link right now.
  18. Wow, my picks almost never win. I have a feeling I might be a bearer of bad luck.
  19. Thanks for the pics! Can anyone point out the differences between this wonder woman minifig and the one in Sky High Battle? At first glance it seems the blue in her skirt is lighter. That's about it that I can pick up.
