  1. You've got to consider that one of the main reasons Batman minifigs are so expensive is because the market of Batman fans is huge. Among these, there are a lot of fans who collect figures (not just Lego), and many of them like to "collect them all". I think that time will tell. Whereas many will go after the new versions, the new line could attract new collectors who might get interested in the old figs. I don't know. Either way, I'm not letting go my Batman minifigure collection.
  2. Today I was at a Chinese store, and they had a couple rip-off brands. One of them makes rip-offs of SETS, and of course, they have also copied the minifigure. The brand is not BanBao, so hopefully if Lego wins this, they will also be able to stop the other company from making rip-off minifigures (and hopefully any other company that does the same).
  3. Those look great! It's a great idea! Love the pics. I hope they sell well!
  4. You might like to read this thread. Unfortunately, it seems that there have been some issues with certain production runs of Lego parts. In general, avoiding high temperatures and extreme strain on the bricks should prevent them from cracking.
  5. Well, we can complain about it, but what are we going to do about it? In all fairness, sellers do have the right to charge as they please on things they are selling. If people buy them, then it's them who accept those prices. Of course that it would be wonderful if we could all buy the old sets without having to pay that much, but that is simply not the case and we won't win anything by complaining about it. That being said, I have paid around $70 for three minifigs I own ($70 for each): Jango Fett, Cloud City Boba Fett, and chrome C-3PO. To tell you the truth, I love these minifigures, and I think that, although I had to pay a high price for them, it is the price the market has, and so I'm very satisfied with my purchases and I love to take out these minifigs and see them whenever I want. It's just a matter of whether or not you are willing to pay the price. If you're not, then just don't buy them.
  6. Great project. I can't wait to see the final product. Keep it up, and thanks for sharing!
  7. Wow, this is one of the best castle MOCs I've ever seen. I'm a sucker for big buildings and big minifig armies. Thanks for sharing!
  8. Drooling so badly for this model. Wow... I just... Love it. Thanks for sharing. I'm speechless now.
  9. Awesome models. And with Noscript + Adblock Plus, no problem . Thanks for providing the link. Will take your store into consideration.
  10. What, really? I expected more from Lego (not because of ethics, but because of copying inferior designs).
  11. I was hoping there would be some printing in Davy Jones' tentacles, but I'm not going to be too picky here. These figs are awesome!
  12. Well, I have heard that, but many people have designed interiors which, if I remember correctly, made a balance between strength and inner detail. Of course I've never been in front of one of those to know how sturdy they are.
  13. Could anyone here recommend an app for browsing Eurobricks on an iphone? Safari is far from satisfactory sometimes.
  14. Funny how it got an out of scale interior, whereas the Millenium Falcon got none... Oh well, it would've been too expensive.
  15. Some people have no shame! And there's just no price for those feedback comments hahaha.
  16. D'oh, that's right. Please forgive my forgetfulness. Thanks.
  17. There's no price for the guy's face, and it's always fun to see a woman carrying a man. (Please don't take that in a sexist way, it just still looks fun). Nicely done. Thanks for sharing!
  18. Would any of you expect to find non-licensed Lego on a comic book store? I know I didn't.
  19. No double deckers here, EVER. Anyways, always good to see them in Lego form. Great and very detailed creation. Thanks for sharing!
  20. There's nothing like a massive UCS ship. Very accurate. Thanks for sharing!
  21. Love it. So classic. Great way to make a bridge. Thanks for sharing!
  22. Indeed, it would be two excellent minifigs wasted. Does the GL figure have a back printing too?
  23. At least these scams seem to be limited to the most expensive and popular Lego sets, so it's not that hard to be on guard.
