  1. The red phone is STILL floating! Edit: Comic book included. Sweeeeet.
  2. Don't get me wrong - I do like Pharaoh's Quest. However, I would have preferred the protagonist to be Johnny Thunder instead of Jake Raines, even if Johnny has already had adventures in the desert.
  3. The first video is very good! I found it interesting to see how the Super Car reacts to crashes. Sure, and Mythbusters=bunch of idiots.
  4. @Athos I agree with much of what you said. Things like these make me thing what it would be like if he had returned:
  5. Maybe I'm a bit too conservative when it comes to themes, but after Indiana Jones was discontinued, I was disappointed to see that Lego created a new adventurer character instead of resurrecting Johnny Thunder, because I always loved that character. Would you have rather had Johnny Thunder in this new theme, maybe even revamped, instead of Jake Raines, or do you prefer what Lego did?
  6. I'm currently agnostic regarding this theme .
  7. That is awesome! It doesn't explain, however, how minifigures are able to rotate their heads and arms 360°.
  8. I'm kind of good at math, and I also like to draw.
  9. Sweet! (Pun intended) I'm very impressed at the level of detail. Definitely, thanks for sharing. It made me hungry so I'd better go and grab a snack.
  10. Like a new Cloud City Boba Fett fig for $999! But it is true, you can get some good deals on eBay. I got my chrome C-3PO, chrome Vader, Cloud City Fett, and Jango Fett all at prices satisfactory for me and better than those at Bricklink. From time to time there are good deals there on Buy it Now. Still, unless you're on eBay 24/7, it's hard to find good Buy it Now deals.
  11. That is the bad thing about eBay for me. Since I buy small things as minifigures, it is convenient for me to buy several from one seller, and it's not very easy to win several auctions from the same seller. Thanks for the tips so far, everyone!
  12. A set with the monolith in the moon and the astronauts inspecting it. I don't think it'll ever happen. But as has been said before: a man can dream!
  13. It all depends. If you're a die-hard collector that likes to keep the sets in the best conditions possible, then don't. I would wait until they are older to let them enjoy my collection (not even to be played with, since I don't do that). On the other hand, if you enjoy playing with your collection or don't mind that, I would say go do it. It must be an amazing experience to share your collection with your kids.
  14. It seemed to me like he could think the thing about the red bags because of the Brickipedia article.
  15. I was very happy reading this article on Brickset until I noticed the update about it being a false alarm. (sigh)
  16. That could work. Something closer to the old skeletons could do the trick. Hopefully we'll get one someday
  17. If minifigures where cheap... Why, I wouldn't be rich, but I wouldn't be as poor!
  18. Albeit that info is unsourced and could have been put by anyone. That would be very interesting if true... Can anyone confirm this? As with the bag colors, the Brickipedia article doesn't list any sources on that.
  19. Is it too obstinate for me to continue wishing for a chrome R2?
  20. Thanks for the tips on the sets everyone. What about Bricklink and eBay shopping though? What is the best time? I buy a lot of loose minifigs and could use some good cash saving.
  21. Interesting. I can't help but wonder how these guys get their hands on the figs. At moments like this I feel very grateful that Spanish is my native language.
  22. I'm pretty sure they'd be sticking with the classics. For instance, the Riddler minifig looks much more similar to the original Riddler, instead of the current one.
  23. I love the new wiring, but I'm not entirely sure about the torso print overall. Somehow he now looks sort of "inconsistent" to me. Do you guys think that we will get a new R-3PO to match this guy? Edit: The fig looks better on the 9490 set image. Could it be the light? He could definitely use some leg and hip printing.
