LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
The red phone is STILL floating! Edit: Comic book included. Sweeeeet. -
Maybe I'm a bit too conservative when it comes to themes, but after Indiana Jones was discontinued, I was disappointed to see that Lego created a new adventurer character instead of resurrecting Johnny Thunder, because I always loved that character. Would you have rather had Johnny Thunder in this new theme, maybe even revamped, instead of Jake Raines, or do you prefer what Lego did?

I'm currently agnostic regarding this theme .

Anatomy of Lego Minifig
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Solscud007's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That is awesome! It doesn't explain, however, how minifigures are able to rotate their heads and arms 360°. -
I'm kind of good at math, and I also like to draw.

Sweet! (Pun intended) I'm very impressed at the level of detail. Definitely, thanks for sharing. It made me hungry so I'd better go and grab a snack.

Like a new Cloud City Boba Fett fig for $999! But it is true, you can get some good deals on eBay. I got my chrome C-3PO, chrome Vader, Cloud City Fett, and Jango Fett all at prices satisfactory for me and better than those at Bricklink. From time to time there are good deals there on Buy it Now. Still, unless you're on eBay 24/7, it's hard to find good Buy it Now deals.

Your dream Lego theme

A set with the monolith in the moon and the astronauts inspecting it. I don't think it'll ever happen. But as has been said before: a man can dream! -
Sharing your LEGO with your kids
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to redryder's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It all depends. If you're a die-hard collector that likes to keep the sets in the best conditions possible, then don't. I would wait until they are older to let them enjoy my collection (not even to be played with, since I don't do that). On the other hand, if you enjoy playing with your collection or don't mind that, I would say go do it. It must be an amazing experience to share your collection with your kids. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

That could work. Something closer to the old skeletons could do the trick. Hopefully we'll get one someday -

If minifigures where cheap... Why, I wouldn't be rich, but I wouldn't be as poor! -
Is it too obstinate for me to continue wishing for a chrome R2?

Interesting. I can't help but wonder how these guys get their hands on the figs. At moments like this I feel very grateful that Spanish is my native language. -
The Amazing Spider-Man Lego?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to bionicle factory's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm pretty sure they'd be sticking with the classics. For instance, the Riddler minifig looks much more similar to the original Riddler, instead of the current one. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love the new wiring, but I'm not entirely sure about the torso print overall. Somehow he now looks sort of "inconsistent" to me. Do you guys think that we will get a new R-3PO to match this guy? Edit: The fig looks better on the 9490 set image. Could it be the light? He could definitely use some leg and hip printing.
