1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
A couple of pics from NYCC have appeared on the DC comics page on facebook: They're both here. -
What licensed minifigs would you like to see...
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to mo123567's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Doesn't this belong to this topic? Anyways, I'm all for BTTF... Other than that, I don't think that I have any important wants in my list. -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion

Not to be very picky, but perhaps it would be good if somebody fixed the spelling mistake on this topic's title, seeing as it was edited anyways. -
Very accurate... I would just love to have one on my desk. Thanks for sharing.

The new series 7 hippie is going to go so well with this set. -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion

Looks like Lego hired a hippie last year, with the VW and this minifig. My favorites are probably the Aztec and the Scottman, but all the figs are amazing. Getting them all for sure. -

 Can't... stand... this... too... many... awesome news... in very... few time... Speechless I'll comment when I have overcome the shock. Edit: Don't know if you noticed it too, but the same site has images of series 6. Digging these all the way. I can't possibly collect all next year's awesome minifigs! -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
 Definitely diggin' the new Anakin, Obi-Wan, and C-3PO minifigs! I was hoping so badly for a decent Anakin minifig... But if the side of his face with the black eyes is supposed to represent his good side, I think that it's not quite well. Is it me or are C-3POs eyes printed? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 poll
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
After getting these figs, I must say that I just LOVE the boxer. There are many great figs in here, so it's not like it's an easy choice. 5 complete series, and I want moar! -

Fortunately GL and Batman minifigs will be given out again. Hopefully that should drive the prices down a little bit, just in case these figs are never released in sets. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

Just completed my series 1-5 CMF collections. It's truly great to appreciate the beauty Lego has created with this theme. I just love these minifigures and I can't wait until series 6 is released. It will very likely be my favorite series so far. Hopefully my college applications will make time more bearable. -
My series 5 minifigs arrived yesterday! They're truly beautiful. 5 complete collections. Waiting for 6-8! Give me more!

Grrrr, can't believe I missed that pic. The face is incredible, it's SO Tony Stark. And let's hope that the figure out a way to keep the flipping feature while shrinking the helmet. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow, this C-3PO looks more accurate! It even has the wiring on its torso... Now we only need a chrome version of it. Love the new astromech droids. Unbelievable: I decided to concentrate my spending on minifigs, and I'm still on red numbers. And it looks like next year is not going to change that. -
Batman Figs Prices going down?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Diggydoes's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sorry, but I think that some people just like the old figs even if they have the new figs, so that's why we "stupidly" buy the older ones. -
Batman Figs Prices going down?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Diggydoes's topic in LEGO Licensed
Collectors... Always a picky bunch. -
Of course they wouldn't, but if one of those entries ever received 10,000 supporters, then perhaps they might be moved to make a re-release (without paying anything to the person who suggested it). After all, that would tell them that there would be a high demand for the product. That being said, I'm not such an avid supporter of re-releases as many here, and I think that with a few exceptions, CUSOO should be used for new creations, not re-release petitions.

Cracking/Breaking Bricks

I hope you don't mean that you actually stand on your pieces... -
I don't think that re-releasing old sets is wasting time, but after all, every set that Lego releases consumes resources (factory and consumers), and I think that none of us would like Lego to stop releasing new designs because of going back too much. Sure, it would be nice to have these sets re-released, but considering they were released not that long ago, I think that it is preferable for Lego to re-release older sets that have been suggested and, apart from that, focus mainly on new projects.
-
I can see why many people would love to own these beautiful sets which got a very limited release, but I would rather have other older sets revisited than these sets. These are much more recent than many classic sets that I would like to se re-released, as some trains and maybe even something like 6399. Besides, I think we would all be happier if Lego released more modular sets rather than just re-releasing their designs. But, of course, I still understand the position of all of you.

Harry Potter: Years 5-7 Video Game

Brought a tear to my eye. Great to see some pics and a trailer, finally! Altough I'm probably only getting the iOS version. -
Bringing back Monorail.

Done! -
I had forgot that I own a few Tyco blocks. They are even advertised as being compatible with Lego! However, I haven't got rid of those blocks, and they bring back many fond memories. The quality isn't near Lego's, but I still had fun with it, and even if they use Lego brick rip-offs, I would never get rid of those.

Artist's impressions of Haunted Houses
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Cherno's topic in LEGO Town
Very spooky. This has got to be one of the most realistic creations I've ever seen in Lego. With the first pic, you could almost think that the house is real. Wow, there are some very talented lego fans. Great find! -

Yummy, pics! Well, as a minifigure collector, I'm just glad that we're getting an expansion on the DC collection, and I plan to get many of these figs. Can't say I'm too excited about the sets, but they don't look bad either.
