Lego Dreamzzz 2023
a guy from somewhere replied to bricks4live1972's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Dreamzzz teaser is out, first look at set I’m guessing? Z blob in his robot form, a crocodile with a car body, and a giant rabbit that has time logo manacles on its front legs. Marketed through Ninjago which is strange. -

Final complete poster is now out! Looks alright, appears to be a city in the background. No sign of Zane Jay or Cole, but we know Zane is in the season (he has a mask part leaked and a racer car set) so I don’t think the other 2 are completely gone. Also, Lego is marketing the new Dreamzzz theme….. through Ninjago? There’s a teaser where Kai tells the others in the monastery about a “dream” he has, where there’s a green and white robot (kinda looks like the iron giant, but is “Z-blob”), a rabbit with yellow bands on its front feet, and a giant crocodile but it’s body is a car, with the legs coming out of its wheel wells. I’m guessing there’s a thread for dreamzzz but I just found it interesting that the first teaser is through Ninjago. My guess is Lego is trying to promote it through an already well known and profitable ‘thing’ to try and give it a head start. The animation style is different from what we usually see in Ninjago, I wonder if it’s the same as what we will get for the new show. Lloyd also has black eyes in this, which is strange. Poster is also confirmed to be a “teaser poster” which, I mean ok? A little weird? But cool, hopefully we see jay and Cole soon. It’s concerning that they haven’t shown up in any media so far, but Kai and Lloyd have been in all of them. Nyas kinda stuck in the middle. -

I’m still believing it’s a one time thing for this season at least, as this specific dragon is in the promotion material, and no other dragon has been seen yet (apart from that absolute Titan that was in the teaser). I wouldn’t be surprised if they reused the mould later on though. I have noticed however looking at the piece and the poster, the colours are inverted? One has light skin and dark scales and the other has dark skin and light scales? Weird? We are going to need a full retrospective on all the leaks we’ve had so far, I’ll start with physical stuff. We’ve had: Zane’s top hood The dragon The dragon energy core Kai’s armour Entire Lloyd figure I think that’s it right? We’ve also had the magazine leak, the team mech image, the T-shirt and the poster (although that’s official). If there’s anything else, let me know. I’m trying to piece together what this seasons theme is and so far all I’m seeing is a complex rubrics cube of different plot details. Dragons seems like the major link. -

I’m really sorry to burst your bubble, I wish as well that Kai would get some focus, ever since the fire chapter in S11 he’s been pushed to the back, but Doc, the new show runner confirmed that focus seasons aren’t really going to be a thing in the new show. Hopefully Kai gets some development though, he’s long overdue it. -

These look real, and I love them! Kais design is pretty good, soras, I’m half and half on. I’m guessing these are based of the Lego figures and not the show designs. -

I think the most likely time line (and what I’d like to see the most) is for a full poster and trailer to be revealed, possibly Tomorrow if we are following the 2 day rule that was set by the fragment reveal (unlikely as that campaign is over, so it could be any time). Then we get a friends style set reveal with a ton of promotion and bits from content creators, and another trailer/teaser of the show, this time showing the sets off more, like the one we got for crystalized episode 5 that focused on the staff transit heist. After that, there’s 4 more videos, I’d put one to release on the embargo date LAN members receive so it goes up when they’re first allowed to release reviews of the upcoming wave. After that, a couple more teasers and then it’s June 1st, and the show releases. -

Check ridexninjagoleaks on Instagram, we can’t post leaks. Eurobricks doesn’t like that I’m afraid. -

Considering he’s on the poster and appears to be one of the 4 silhouetted characters on the countdown page (on the far left) he seems to be a pretty important part of the season. I don’t think we will get other colours, at least for this season, but I wouldn’t rule it out. One thing I’ve realised is as core this winter wave used last years suits and molds, that means almost (The bone army had a couple new parts) all of the mold and print budget for the year was given to the summer, which explains why we are getting all these amazing new characters, prints and molds. Super excited! -

So, not much happened yesterday. We got the 5th fragment, but it didn’t actually complete the poster, and in typical Lego fashion they revealed the name too early. Dragons rising. Speaking of dragons, the fragment only shows a sand blue baby dragon, which the part itself has just leaked on Instagram. I’m gonna be honest, this is my favourite specialised mold/animal. It looks amazing. The right combo of cute and terrifying. Hopefully we get more trailers and content in the coming days, I’m not sure what will happen now that the fragment hunt is over. -

This seems likely, although I can’t imagine why Doc has been so heavily against the word “United” on Twitter, it seems he doesn’t want that mentioned. Wether he is hiding something or just knows we are flat out wrong, that remains to be seen. Here’s something else that’s been playing on my mind: do we think Arin is an elemental master? What element could he have? We still are yet to tie up the wind element plot line that Tommy teased way back in 2021, it’s the last elemental loose end that we are yet to see a proper ending for (I guess the time twins are one as well but since their power is now the time blades, I’m not really counting them). -

New season is confirmed to be called “dragons rising” Someone has been digging about in the source code of the ninjago official website. Kinda sad it’s spoiled but it’s interesting nonetheless. -

Agreed, this is very strange, with wayyyy more questions than answers. I’m hoping we see the other 3 ninja on the top fragment behind the writing, anyone got any ideas on what it may be? I’m hoping we get a trailer or something today, as it’s been a while and if my prediction is true with the main trailer being revealed alongside the final poster fragment, we need another trailer. There’s 4 videos on the ninjago page, 2 locked and 2 unlocked. The 2 unlocked are the April 1st teaser and the April 5th teaser and if we are getting a trailer for the final fragment and full poster reveal, where does the 3rd video come into this? When put together the lower word is almost certainly “rising” and the letters above it in the 4th fragment are an o,n and s, with maybe a G at the start. So “______gons rising”? I’ve seen the idea of dragons rising be thrown about, me and my brother discussed it, and it seems a decent possibility. Dragons play a large role in the sets, there was a massive one in the April 1st teaser, and dragons were mentioned in the 2 truths 1 lie from the creators. -

The next fragment is found! Legos Instagram story has revealed it, sadly nothing new apart from the confirmation of “rising” as one of the words, there’s another above it. No clue what it could be. Kai and Ras are shown on the poster, but we have seen both before in the magizine leak. -

Yeah unfortunately they weren’t selling well and Lego pulled them from their stores, so now they are only available online and in the big store for your country (think Leicester Square in the UK) as they where an eastern culture thing and most people in the west didn’t have interest. Pretty annoying, but that’s just business. -

The website won’t work on my end, apparently it’s a US one so I wonder if it’s region locked? Anyways, seems June 1st is our release date for the new series, which coincides perfectly with the sets release (in Europe anyways, sorry folks across the great pond). There’s also multiple “locked” trailers on the page, I saw a screenshot of it, and there’s 3 characters in shadow stood infront of some shadow rift stuff behind it. One of the characters is the cat girl figure we see in the 3rd fragment. Speaking of which, I don’t know how I feel about this. From my point of view, it seems that these fragments aren’t all “scattered across the web” and actually available to find, but are actually being kept hidden until about 2 or 3 o’clock in the afternoon (UK time) where they are just randomly thrown out on some obscure social media page tied to Lego. Just doesn’t feel like the ARG they are trying to promote. On the other hand, this is really amazing. Lego themselves are building hype up, they are interacting with the community, the show runner is very open on the show as a whole (not saying Tommy wasn’t, just not to the extent that Doc is doing now). The hype is real, and I honestly believe that we won’t be getting any set news until they get officially revealed. No leaks, no descriptions. I think the inner ring of leakers (Brick clicker, Falconfan, Promobricks) will stand back and watch this all happen, and I’m all for it. Really can’t wait to see the sets now. As for the fragment itself, there’s a weird cat girl that actually looks kinda cool with the armour and scar detail on the face, I’m assuming this is Sora from the leaks. Pretty interesting. Lloyd is unexciting, seen as we have seen his full suit already. Over all, I’m very happy with the direction Ninjago is going in, especially after the mess of crystalized. This looks great, and it seems a new fragment is added in every 2 days, so we will wait for Thursday to come round and see what we get. Hopefully it’s Cole, I’m really anxious if he will have a black mask or not. I’m expecting them on Saturday to get the 3rd and final fragment, along with a trailer for the new show, and then on the Sunday if we get really lucky, we will see set images, like what we got with Lego friends where they had the massive ambassador party and reveal. -

My guess is its a new power or "foresight" thing, as Nya doesnt have it in the poster. Hopefully its actually something in the show and not just for the sets. -

New fragment is out, Nya and Ras are shown. I wonder if Ras is actually a good guy, considering he seemed to be commanding the villains in the mech set leak. Maybe it’s a season 13 situation where the munce and geckles are portrayed as villains but really they’re good guys? That would lend credence to the idea that the TT are the real villains. Wait wasn’t there a Kai and Ras motorbike set? Maybe they are good guys? Nya looks great, I love that dark azure is the main colour. Hopefully Cole is in all black so the mask part can be re-used on a wanderer figure. Also @Steinar thanks for your opinion on the Titan mech, I’ll see if I can get it, but im waiting for at least set descriptions to come out as well. Budget is tight these days. -

So In the teaser we got on the 5th there was writing on the library wall in ninjargon, that when translated said “control time control everything”, and there’s been a couple of hints from Twitter, and we also have the leaked blurry image of Lloyd and Arins team mechs, and one of the figures appears to be krux (one in the lower left by the mech feet, carrying a sword and has red across their face). Confirmed is probably the wrong word, but at this point I think it’s very likely. Possibly as a secondary villain or a puppet master. -

I think what im trying to get at more is the show needs more permanent consequences, pushing beyond the boundaries its set within itself. Everything always goes back to the way it was at some point. Nya spent about 4 episodes as one with the sea before becoming a regular human again, and I hope we finally see some more interesting and permanent things happen. Its already looking promising, the 14 realms now coming together and "merging" could make for some interesting scenarios, by only worry is that with the time twins being confirmed to re-appear, I won't be surprised if this season ends with the ninja convincing the twins to turn back time and stop the merge from even happening. Hopefully not, as it could create some pretty interesting scenarios down the line. -

As much as I’d like to see more mature themes, Ninjago is a kids show. If they where going to kill someone off, it would have been Wu after his battle with the crystal king in crystalized, or garmadon during the final showdown, but Ninjago needs to stick with the status quo idea, and make sure everyone stays alive. Kai is the most popular ninja (still won’t get a season for him though, and probably never now as it’s been confirmed there will no longer be focus seasons), so killing him off and therefore removing him from the Lego sets will affect the sales. There’s a reason in the only Cole season we got, when Cole’s got his Titan mech, he had to share it with Kai. Because Cole isn’t as popular. there’s nothing really to spoil, we know that the ninja will survive, and probably everyone else. Kai’s voice actor didn’t leave, he was just saying goodbye to Tommy Andreason. -

New stuff is up, promoted by LAN and the ninjago team. WE need to merge the fragments of a poster that has been scattered across the internet. 5 fragments are out there, and we need to find them to reveal the season name. the first fragment looks amazing, it seems to be Arin, he has gold horns on his suit and there’s an axe of some sort as well. the fact that Lego is openly promoting this and giving fans a chance is so exciting, this really is a new leaf for Ninjago and im ready for the journey that’s about to start. This poster also confirms Arin to be the boy on the bounty, his face is the same, although older. Love this, can’t wait. -

The second head writer, I believe his name is Kevin, has expressed distaste for the idea of multiverse, and I have to agree with him. Whilst reality collapsing and worlds colliding is one of my favourite topics to think about, nearly every big franchise is doing a multiverse arc and I wouldn’t want Ninjago to go the same route. Keeping the idea of realms colliding and calling it the merge is providing enough of a jump from the other multiverse stuff in my eyes, and I’m pretty happy with that. Taking it one step further! This could actually be a really cool idea, or maybe different characters narrate for different episodes? Not sure how big of a fan I am of this idea though, it may get pretty boring. Really hoping we get set descriptions or some form of leak soon, im also interested in seeing a poster for the season and its name, which Lego is apparently withholding. It’s also been confirmed by Doc that this isn’t core shorts or anything, he just refers to it as “Ninjago 2023, not a short”. simply can’t wait! -

Continuing to pick out things in the trailer, the one we got yesterday concerning Lloyd and wu, Lloyd has his green eyes, and I’m pretty sure this trailer takes place just before the 1st teaser we got, and in that one we saw Lloyd with black eyes, although looking at other shots I can’t tell if it is the lighting or not. In the thumbnail and final scene they look black but in the scene where he’s sliding down the chain with Arin, they look kinda green? Like a hint of green? I’m not sure. I’m inclined so far to believe he still has powers, and it’s just the lighting.
