  1. My guess was that that tail would be a BAM piece as well. I think if Season 15 really is aqua-themed then we’re more likely to get eel or squid based minifigures than mermaids, but that’s just where my head’s at. I also just had a realization about one of these new summer sets recently. Rereading this Brickset article (https://brickset.com/article/54616/female-ninjago-minifigures) made me realize that not only is this the first time we’re getting Nya’s name as part of a play set title, this is the first time we’re getting her name in the possessive sense. (This isn’t including spinner sets or keychains or anything like that.) Pretty crazy to think that it took ten years for that to finally happen.
  2. There are still a few loose threads in terms of Ninjago villains that the show can follow. Off the top of my head, Clouse, Nadakhan, Garamdon, Pythor, and the Time Twins are still at large. It would be cool if we could see some sort of alliance between them in a future season ala the Sinister Six. Regardless, this is probably discussion more relevant to the show than the sets of 2021 specifically.
  3. I guess the Ninja’s tropical endeavors might not be wrapped up in Season 14? Either way, I’m looking forward to it. I’m rewatching Season One right now and it’s really rekindling my love for this theme. I got a little burnt out around March of the Oni, but I’m excited about this theme again.
  4. It’s a Christmas miracle! Thanks for all the scoops this year! Funny that this is the first Kai centric dragon since 2011. Of course that’s excluding Juniors sets, polybags, Firstbourne, and the hybrid dragon with Nya. I suppose 2021 will be the year of Ninjago dragons.
  5. My dream for the second half of next year would be a Mandalorian equivalent of Force Friday. A wave of not just eight or so Lego sets, but also (*I’m really dreaming here*) the release of a Mando CMF series. Think about it: we don’t know what the third CMF series will be based on next year and there’s a lot of speculation that we could possibly see a Marvel or Star Wars CMF series thanks to some vague change in the Disney/Hasbro agreement. The Mandalorian is one of the biggest entertainment properties currently, so it would make bank as well. This list is comprised of some of the ideas that I’ve come up with over the last two months, modified with the benefit of hindsight: -Duel on Corvus: The little courtyard that Ahsoka Tano and Morgan Elsbeth duel at. This could be the “Mando Friday” equivalent of that random Death Star Turret set from Triple Force Friday 2019, but this time it’d actually be relevant. Both figures would be new of course. ($20) -Cobb Vanth’s Speeder: Build is what you’d expect; we could get a Moisture Vaporator as a side build. The figures would be Cobb Vanth (New with helmet and hairpiece included!), a Tusken Raider, and maybe the armorless Boba in his robes (New?) ($30) -Chase on Nevarro: The “Mando Friday” equivalent of the Pasaana Speeder Chase set. It could come with the transport Cara stole and an Imperial Speeder Bike. Figures would include Marshal Cara Dune (New!), Greef Carga (New!), and two Imperial Scout Troopers. ($40) -Lego Star Wars The Mandalorian Advent Calendar: My idea for the 2021 AC would be completely based on Mando. Figures could be mostly re-uses, but the two exclusives would be Santa Mando and Elf Grogu. ($40) -Bo Katan’s Mandalorian Fighter: Based on the Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighter that’s shown up in TCW, Rebels, and Mando now. This could be an updated version of the 2011 set made to fit the new starfighter scale. The figures would include Bo (New!), Koska (New!), Axe (New!), and Beskar Mando. ($60) -The Slave 1: This would tie-in more with The Book of Boba Fett miniseries/special. The build would be a shrunken version of the 20th Anniversary model to accommodate the new starfighter scale. Figures would include repainted Boba Fett (New!), Fennec Shand (New!), and two or three characters from TBoBF. ($100) Moff Gideon’s Imperial Cruiser ($150): Basically the same as what I said two or three weeks ago; the Arquitens Class Cruiser with Moff Gideon (New figure with new darksaber mold!), Grogu, the female Comms Officer, an Imperial Stormtrooper, and two Dark Troopers (New!). As for my proposed CMF series, I’ll stick with 12 figures like the other 2021 CMF series, but I’ll note four additional ideas as well. -Mando: Updated version of his original armor that came with the AT-ST Raider and Razor Crest. It could have the benefit of more detailing: dual molded legs and arm printing. The accessories could be his pulse rifle and a camtono. -Mando #2: Similar to the 2021 Beskar Mando figure, but this one could have Din Djarin’s face underneath. Both versions of Mando would have fixed printing on the helmet, with a thinner visor, but I don’t think a new mold is necessary to be honest. This version could have the jetpack and come with Grogu. -The Armorer -Paz Vizla/Heavy Infantry Mandalorian -Frog Lady -Kuiil -Mayfeld -The Mythrol: Could come with those credits he always talked about in Chapter 1 as well as that tool he used in Chapter 12. -Peli Motto with Pit Droid -Dr. Pershing -The Client: Could come with a 1x2 plate of beskar steel. -Trapper Wolf And here are four additional ideas in case Lego were to go back to having sixteen figures per series. -Din Djarin (Child) -Death Watch Mandalorian -Incinerator or Mortar Stormtrooper -Lang (Micheal Biehn’s character from Chapter 13)
  6. I really hope we get the Bosco suit with the Spidey 3 sets. We have every other one of Pete’s MCU outfits, other than the homemade suit which I could make using purist parts fairly easily. The torso of one of the suits in that Spider Lair would do nicely come to think of it. In all honesty though, I kinda hope Spider-Man doesn’t even get a new costume in this movie. After all, they’ll have two additional Spider-Men to sell toys off this time around. I’m interested to see what else is coming next year. We’ve known about an Eternal wave for a while, so no surprises there. I imagine we’ll get at least one Shang Chi set, possibly an additional Black Widow set, and maybe some stuff for the D+ shows? That kind of remains an enigma. I actually just saw new Wandavision and Falcon/Winter Solider Funko POPs at a store yesterday and was bummed that we’ve heard nothing about Lego products for either of them as of yet.
  7. From what I can make out, the set looks fantastic! It looks like a very fitting continuation of the original Ninjago City, which is a set that means a lot to me. I liked the Docks, but didn’t love it, and was fine displaying the original City set on its own, so I never picked it up. Starting to regret that decision now... Someone said that it looks like a MOC, and I dig that. It gives this set its own unique flair, while remaining consistent with its amazing predecessor. I love the vibrant tower and trees here. The little pagoda and garden area, while small, looks nice. Again, I think that it blends very well with the 2017 set. The walkway on the second story with the surfboards and colorful signs look spot-on and I can’t wait to see what easter eggs are contained here. As for the figures, I can’t really make out many. I think I see Legacy Kai, Zane, and Jay figures, some sort of new Lloyd variant on the far left, a Golden Wu figure, and new civilian versions of Nya, Cole, and Jay again. If I’m not mistaken, it looks like Jay is wearing his casual outfit from Season 5 and 6, which would be pretty cool since we never got that variant before.
  8. I love the classic ones, including the two Indiana Jones games, Star Wars: The Complete Saga, LSW 3: The Clone Wars, and the little bits of the original Batman and Harry Potter games that I’ve played. I haven’t been too interested in most of the recent games though. I don’t think I’ve played a single Lego game that’s come out since 2010, other than The Force Awakens which I got bored of very quickly. I was kind of interested in the Ninjago Movie game but never picked it up, same goes for Dimensions. I can imagine certain Packs have more to offer than others. The same went for the Disney Infinity games, which was a series I was in love with when it was coming out. There were some lackluster Play Sets, which was that game’s equivalent to the Story or Level Packs of Dimensions, and pointless characters, but at the end of the day, I got almost every single character and piece of content for that series. That’s why I’m worried about diving into Lego Dimensions: I’m worried about getting addicted to collecting another Toys to Life game. I know if I get into this game, I’m going to go all in and try to get everything for it. I just want to know if the game itself is worth it, or if I’d be better off buying the interesting minifigures off Bricklink.
  9. Sounds fair to me. I hope you have a nice holiday! As for the availability of the 2021 sets, I just unpacked and shelved the new Mando set (as well as one of the Ninjago Epic Battle sets) at work today. Our shelves should be fully loaded by tomorrow, so I might be picking up a couple things when I’m off the clock.
  10. I definitely understand your excitement @a guy from somewhere, but try to keep your expectations in check. I have no doubt this set will be great like its predecessors, but overhyping it to such a degree will inevitably lead to some disappointment. Believe me, I know from experience. Based on that outline, I’m thinking that the sidewalk from the previous Ninjago City models won’t be continued here. It appears that if you were to line the sets up in order, the sidewalk would continue from NC onto the NCD and then abruptly stop when you get to the actual Gardens. It’ll be a bit disappointing if that’s the case, even if I only own NC and not the Docks. Regardless, I’m still hyped to see what this set looks like. It really feels like we could get a leak or reveal any day now, especially since The Lego Movie 2’s equivalent of Ninjago City, Welcome to Apocalypseburg, was leaked exactly around this time two years ago.
  11. I work at a Kohl’s and naturally I’m not working this week when these new sets are showing up early. I don’t want to speak for everyone, but I’ll just say that I prefer how some of the the annual threads for other themes (Harry Potter, Marvel, etc.) are streamlined into just one thread (News, Speculation, Rumors, etc). Whenever I want to check on some of those other themes, then I only have one thread to get caught up on when it comes to discussion. When I check on Star Wars, which is the theme I collect and keep up with the most currently, there are three or four threads I need to get caught up when it comes to those particular talking points.
  12. I did a list of a CMF draft for The Mandalorian Season 1, but I’m just going to generally list all of the figures I want to see from this second season. -Cobb Vanth -Frog Lady with her egg canister. -One of those Quarren guys. -Bo Katan Kryze -Koska Reeves -Axe Woves -Cara Dune: Marshal of the New Republic -S2 Greef Karga -Ahsoka Tano -Morgan Elsbeth -Lang (Michael Biehn) -Fennec Shand with new hair and helmet elements. -Scarred, robed Boba Fett (before he got the armor back) with his Gaffi stick. -Mortar Stormtrooper -Dark Troopers -Boba Fett with his freshly painted armor -S2 Mayfeld -Juggernaut Tank Driver (the disguise Mando wore in Chapter 15) -Trapper Wolf -Carson (the non-Filoni X-Wing pilot)
  13. All I want from Star Wars at this point are a Solo follow-up and an animated Rebels sequel. All of this new content sounds super exciting! I’m sure we can all guess what sets we’ll be getting off the Rogue Squadron movie. Hopefully Lego takes a break from doing those sane starfighters for a couple years until Rogue Friday 2 happens. The Bad Batch are confirmed to be one of the characters packs for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, so sets based off of that seem highly possible. We’ve gotten at least two sets based off all of the animated shows so far, so we can reasonably expect the same for BB. Outside of the five Batch members themselves, we could possibly see more “reg” variants too. A lot of the other shows seem like ones that we’d just get one-off sets for, if that, and that’s okay. Whatever all of this means for the Lego theme, the future of Star Wars is bright!
  14. I’m just looking forward to getting more versions of the main MCU characters, as well as some new characters in Lego form. I only started collecting Lego Marvel sets this year and there are plenty of gaps in my character line-up. Hopefully Lego starts capitalizing on all of the potential that Disney+ is presenting for sets. The Mandalorian and the new season of The Clone Wars were wildly successful and their recent set sales seem to reflect that. The original content on that streaming service is a goldmine that Lego has been slow at capitalizing on.
  15. Hint of a Ninjago advent calendar? Or maybe I’m wearing a tin foil hat right now. Aside from a few sets here and there, I haven’t really been too into Ninjago since the first wave of Legacy sets came out almost two years ago (most of which I ended up not getting). I do like the direction the line is going in for 2021 though! $10 Epic Battle sets with two exclusive/uncommon figures each? Yes! Legacy sets based off the seasons of Ninjago that were airing when I first became interested in the theme? Yes! A follow-up to my all-time favorite Lego set, Ninjago City? Yes! Nice, unique looking sets for Season 14? Yes! That dragon looks really nice and the tropical island set would go well with the Barracuda Bay I acquired this week. The news of a Nya Water Dragon is exciting and I really hope this season does focus on her since she’s one of my favorite characters in the show.
  16. Personally, I believe that: -Doc Ock, Electro, and now the Green Goblins apparently (Dafoe and Dehaan) will most likely be playing MCU counterparts of their respective characters, or possibly alternate versions of their characters from alternate universes where they didn’t die at the end. -I think Emma Stone could be playing a Spider Gwen from a new universe but I’m not too sure on that one, especially with her pregnancy. -I’m not sure about Tobey and Andrew; they could just be a brief appearance or they may help Tom’s Spider-Man in the film’s climax before going back to their dimensions (this is where Kirsten Dunst and Tobey’s rumored child come into the picture.) -Venom and Daredevil’s rumored appearances may be an indirect way to somewhat incorporate their respective movies/show into the MCU. All in all, I think that all of these character appearances will be more of a tease for a live-action Spider Verse movie than being overly important to this one. If that comes to fruition, and if Lego capitalizes on the opportunity (which they didn’t with the animated counterpart), we can expect some amazing minifigures. I think all we can expect as figures right now are: -Tom’s Spider-Man obviously (hopefully wearing the dope red and black suit in at least one of the sets.) -Electro -Doctor Strange (because he’s the mentor figure in this movie and Spidey’s mentor figures in the last two movies were included in sets for those respective films; plus it lets Lego use the same figure as the MoM set(s).) -This is more of a guess, but possibly J. Jonah Jameson depending on his role in this movie. -Possibly Ned, MJ, Happy, and Aunt May, but those are probably the least likely.
  17. From the latest three episodes of The Mandalorian: Chase on Nevarro ($40): The builds would be the modified Imperial Troop Transport and an Imperial Speeder Bike. The minifigures would be S2 Cara Dune (New!), S2 Greef Carga (New!), The Mythrol (With new headmold!), and an Imperial Scout Trooper. Moff Gideon’s Imperial Cruiser ($150): The build obviously be Gideon’s Arquitens Light Cruiser. Figures could include Moff Gideon (New! With new Darksaber mold!), the female Comms Officer (New!), two Dark Troopers (New!), and an Imperial Stormtrooper. @Mandalorianknight‘s idea for a Duel on Corvus is exactly what I was thinking to represent Chapter 13. Imperial Troop Lander ($80): The build would be the Imperial version of the First Order lander from the most recent episode of The Mandalorian. Minifigures could include the bald Boba Fett from before he got his armor back (New!), a Mortar Stormtrooper (New!), and three Imperial Stormtroopers. Slave 1 ($90-120): A modified version of the 2019 set to go along with Lego’s new starfighter scale for 2021. The figures could include Boba Fett (New!), Fennec Shand (New!), possibly Mayfeld (New!), and the other two or three figures could be based on the rumored Boba Fett spin-off show for Disney+.
  18. Same goes for The Clone Wars. Hell, Rebels still has a lot of omissions and the second half of the show was barely covered. Whether or not Lego capitalizes on the success of Lucasfilm’s successful shows on Disney+ remains to be seen. It really depends on how much shelf space and resources Lego is investing into this theme’s pseudo-reboot. With how much Lego seems to be leaning towards the OT with this new scale, as well as seemingly putting out a smaller amount of sets next year, the space for more Mando and TCW sets is pretty limited.
  19. I suffer the same problem @Lego David. I don’t have the space or funds for enclosed display cases, so I have to use furniture polish for my wooden shelves and I find that a small paintbrush helps get the dust off the sets themselves. The bristles are great at getting stuff out from between the studs.
  20. True, but I also think her character and relationship with Anakin was just poorly written in the films, or at least half of AOTC and the majority of ROTS. The Clone Wars did a much better job handling both her and her relationship with Anakin IMO. That’s cool that you found the Geonosis figure at your Lego Store though! I definitely wouldn’t mind having extras of this figure, because it’s the best Lego Padme by far. Not that there’s much competition in that arena... For some reason that doesn’t show up for me. Could it be because I’m on mobile?
  21. I would also like to voice my support for more Padme minifigures. For one of “the big three” of the Prequel Trilogy, it’s an absolute travesty that we’ve only gotten her once in the last five years? We get prequel versions of Anakin and Obi-Wan at least once a year, most of the time. I’ve been collecting Lego Star Wars since the release of TFA and the only versions of Padme I own is the figure that came with the most recent Podracer (who had an overused face print that didn’t really resemble her but that’s besides the point) and I Bricklinked the Episode 2 figure from 2013 for the low price of $20 USD. I imagine that Padme’s small role in The Clone Wars Season Seven won’t help our chances of seeing her in more sets. The fact that she was wearing her Episode 3 outfit in that one scene from Season Seven adds salt to the wound because we’re still lacking that version of Padme. (There’s not too many sets to get that figure in, especially since she was poorly utilized in ROTS). The ROTS version of Padme is actually pretty hard to find in Star Wars merchandise in general; Funko even cancelled the their POP of her. Lego doesn’t have this problem representing the other main characters. From the ST, we get plenty of Rey, Finn, Poe, and BB-8 figures (of course, these characters are more relevant and their trilogy has only ended recently) and from the OT, we have a plethora of Luke, Han, Chewie, Threepio, and Artoo figures at any given time. Leia could use more coverage too, but Lego has at least gotten better about putting her in more sets. Still, it shouldn’t have taken three years for me to get a Leia minifigure in my collection (the Hoth one in the Medical Chamber in 2018) and four for me to get her in her most iconic outfit (Episode 4 dress in the Death Star Escape and the Tantive IV, both from 2019). With that out of the way, I can name at least two potential sets from today’s episode of The Mandalorian but I still don’t know how to use the spoiler tag here, so I won’t name them. I’m just going to say that based off how tightly the lid was sealed on the second half of the season, I wouldn’t expect Lego sets based off of it to be guaranteed next year. We might still see a couple, but I’m not going to get my hopes up. This might be a good thing though; after all, we’re still waiting for more sets based off Season One and the first half of Season Two.
  22. I never ended up playing Lego Dimensions despite being a huge Disney Infinity and Lego fan when it came out. I ended up getting the starter pack and a few packs at some point in late 2017 (I believe it was Benny, Samurai X, maybe another one, and then the Sonic pack that goes for like $50 now...) I ended up returning them when I decided that I didn’t want to spend a bunch of time and money getting everything for the game when it had already been cancelled. Three years later, I’m thinking about trying it out again. I need some more games to play on the PS4 since I won’t be getting the PS5 for a few years and there won’t be many more games released for the older console. I checked and saw that Starter Packs are around $70-100 online, which is about how much they cost during their release. I’m thinking about trying it out next year, but my question for all of you is if the game is worth it or not? Obviously I’ll get enjoyment out of the physical Lego elements (so many great minifigures came out for this game), but is the game engaging and time consuming enough to invest in?
  23. I got the Stormtrooper Helmet and a second Sith Trooper Battle Pack on Monday. I also just got my Shop@Home order today: a third 501st for me and a Mando/Child Brickheadz as a Christmas present for my cousin.
  24. Looks like a decent series. I LOVE the Pug Costume girl; my family owns two pugs so this is a figure that I’m going to need multiples of. The space police officer is cool; kinda reminds me of the Sable agents from Insomniac’s Spider-Man game. I like the castaway guy too; there are a few other cool ones but nothing outstanding.
