  1. Awesome job! That was one of my favorite shots in the entire series, so it’s sweet to see it in Lego form.
  2. Speaking of the Summer Vacation special, I want older Han’s hairpiece with some graying on the sides and also a young Ben Solo figure with that blue vest. (Really just any official Ben Solo figure at this point to be honest.)
  3. Meh advent calendar for me. I normally just buy these things for the figures but this one isn’t really doing it for me. The Clone Commander is a massively oversaturated figure and even though I usually like the goofy AC figures, Summer Vader and the droids in sweaters just aren’t doing it for me for some reason. Hoth Luke is a figure I wouldn’t mind having an extra of but meh. $45 for these things are just too much for me anymore. I got both the Star Wars and Marvel calendars for just $10 thanks to my VIP points but there’s other sets I’d rather use those points toward. That’s mostly it for Lego Star Wars this year. Bring on the Razor Crest reveal and 2023 news! (And the Summer Vacation special I guess.)
  4. I definitely recommend Gargantos. It’s a really fun set and is surprisingly big for $30. Plus, you could probably make a really cool display of it with the Sanctum. I agree about the IW hairpiece, that was 100% the perfect piece for Doctor Strange. I don’t know why Lego is so insistent on using that same wavy hairpiece for so many licensed male characters, especially superhero ones. If it’s any consolation, we’re likely getting the Symbiote Suit in the MCU. That’s our best bet for getting some version of Black Suit Spider-Man in an attainable way. I’m also surprised that Lego has avoided including it with all the Spider-Man and Venom related sets they make. Hopefully they make the Bombastic Bagman suit eventually as well.
  5. I’m holding off on my planned August 1st purchases until next month, but I have gotten some other small Lego Star Wars items recently. I found the more recent Asajj Ventress figure at an antique store for $10. It was half the Bricklink price so I went ahead and snagged it. The printing all looks good, the arms are loose though and there’s a crack in the side of the torso. Not a huge deal though since I won’t really be playing with it. I replaced her plain black legs with the newer skirt element, which might have been what caused the crack since I didn’t notice it before. She was missing her lightsabers though, so I threw those into a Bricklink order I was placing to get a Pluto figure for my Disney Castle. Other Star Wars items I grabbed from that store were the General Dodanna minifig and a pink lightsaber blade because why not? I should have some other, more exciting stuff on its way very soon though…
  6. I actually like those buildable Spider-Man figures. Not enough to buy them but they look a lot better than expected, certainly better than that crappy Iron Man earlier this year. Still, if I had to choose between getting these three “buildable action figures” for the same price as the recently revealed Marvel Legends three pack of Tobey, Andrew and Tom, I’d choose the latter every day of the week. The GOTG Advent Calendar looks pretty solid. Definitely a step-up from last year’s, which still had a lot of cool stuff in its own right. That being said, I think I’m passing on the Star Wars and Marvel Advent Calendars this year. $45 for these things feel like way too much when I’m mostly just getting them for the figures and a few pieces here and there. It wasn’t too bad last year since I had like $70 worth of VIP Points that I used towards both of them, but now I’m saving up all my VIP Points to get the Star Destroyer before it retires. Besides, I was off at college for the majority of the AC days last year so I didn’t even really get to enjoy the full experience of opening them everyday. I don’t feel super bad about this decision as I already have all of the reused figures from the Benatar and I’m sure the new prints for the Mixtape and Drax and Nebula’s faces will be reused for the GOTG V3 sets next spring.
  7. I guess it’s kinda like how the two smaller “No Way Home” sets and the polybag were branded as No Way Home even though they clearly had little to do with that specific movie.
  8. I have my fingers crossed crossed for both of those next year, and I think a 212th Battle Pack in particular is somewhat likely. It's still crazy to me that Lego prioritized Cad Bane's freighter from like one or two episodes over Crosshair's Shuttle that shows up in several episodes. Lego really needs to start making more than just one Bad Batch set a year. Aside from seeing everything else included in the Advent Calendar I guess, is the UCS Razor Crest the only 2022 Star Wars set we haven't seen yet? Should we expect another promo like the last few fall UCS/MBS sets?
  9. I’d say we’ll get at least one playset to tie-in with it. We got a new play scale AT-AT to tie in with the ESB 40th Anniversary, I can see them going something similar next summer. Maybe a small Speeder Bike chase. Also, we didn’t get a MBS set this year like we expected so I could see Lego doing an Endor one next year.
  10. The sets look cool, but they also all look a bit small for the prices. I’m trying to be more and more selective with my Lego purchases so while I’m not sure if I’ll pick any of these up (it kinda depends on how much I enjoy the film and how much room I have in my Lego budget over the next several months), I do still like the sets themselves. I also appreciate seeing more black women represented in Lego form. Going from biggest to smallest, Shuri’s Lab is obviously our “Legacy” set to the first Black Panther film. The build is whatever of course and I find it a bit odd that they have two ~$20 sets out right now with the same Shuri figure and a very similar T’Challa figure. I still think it’s great that Lego is including a Black Panther figure in the smallest set of the wave though. While it looks really small like the other sets, I do like Namor’s Throne. The little touch of the fish swimming around is pure Lego charm. The figures all look cool and I’m impressed that Lego actually included side leg printing on a Marvel figure. Actually, come to think of it, I’m impressed that Lego included leg printing in general for every figure in this wave, excluding the ones from the 4+ set. Hope they keep that up with whatever the $80 set is. I really like the design of Shuri’s Sunbird. It’s very sleek and interesting, though again it is very small for the price. I’m a sucker for new Iron Man styled suits, so the Ironheart figure is a standout here. Getting two figures reused from the previous set would make me a bit hesitant to get both sets if I do wind up collecting this wave. All in all, the sets and figures are impressive and help make up for this year being kinda bland for Lego Marvel. The only other standouts for me have been Gargantos, the Goat Boat (despite not really liking the film itself) and the Sanctum, plus getting a new Wolverine figure. I hope to learn more about the $500 set soon.
  11. I’d guess maybe one or two, and then definitely more later on. Lego usually only releases one or two sets around when these shows come out and depending on the show, they might end up doing more later. In Mando’s case, I definitely would expect more sets in the second half of next year, along with Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew. I thought for sure that Mando’s N-1 would be a set they saved for spring 2023 when Season 3 comes out but they ended up doing that already so who knows? I think at least one Andor and Fallen Order set is likely for this list, and I’d like to see some Kenobi and Bad Batch representation as well. I just remembered that the Disney Junior “Young Jedi Adventures” show is supposed to start in the spring, I wonder if we’ll get anything for that? (As much as I’d like to get some High Republic stuff in Lego, I really hope not.)
  12. I posted some of my guesses in the other thread but I guess I'll share them here too, and also crack some guesses at the other sets. This is somewhat what I want to see, somewhat realistic predictions. Actually, since there isn't any boring OT remakes on my list, maybe you can scratch the realistic part. January 1 75344 ($9.99) - Definitely a microfighter but I don't have any particular guesses. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it'll be Boba and his Firespray since we've never really gotten a proper Microfighter of that ship before. 75345 ($19.99) - 212th Clone Trooper Battle Pack with two 212th troopers from the AT-TE and two Airborne Troopers from the Grievous Starfighter. The build could be a crab droid. 75346 ($34.99) - T-47 Airspeeder from Obi-Wan Kenobi. Side build could be a Probe Droid for the heroes to fight. New figures could include a pilot, Jedi robe Obi-Wan, and young Leia with Lola droid. 75347 ($64.99) - Captain Rex's Y-Wing. Includes a new Captain Rex with the new helmet mold for his range finder and new Season 2 versions of Hunter and Omega. 75348 ($99.99) - Stinger Mantis. Jedi Survivor is supposed to come out in March so I could see Lego dropping a Fallen Order/Survivor set a few months in advance. Figures would include Cal Kestis, a reused BD-1, Cere Junda, Greez and Nightsister Merrin. 75352 ($99.99) - Crosshair's Imperial Shuttle. New minifigures could include Crosshair with the updated helmet mold, Imperial Commander Cody, Vice Admiral Rampart and two Elite Squad Troopers. 75353 ($79.99) - Andor set March 1 75349 ($69.99) - Bo-Katan Helmet 75350 ($69.99) - Maybe a Royal Guard or Boussh Helmet for the ROTJ 40th Anniversary? Otherwise, I'd guess a Clone Trooper helmet.
  13. Razor Crest seems to have gone up to $600. It’s a big bummer but I guess it’s still a good price for that piece count and minifigure selection. Exciting to start getting 2023 news. 75345 is a battle pack probably and the two March sets are probably helmets. I’d wager that some of these are Mando-related sets and maybe one of the $100 sets could be the Mantis since Jedi Survivor is reportedly coming in March.
  14. Hasbro and Funko are finally starting to reveal new No Way Home merchandise so I figured I’d list out what sets I could realistically see Lego doing in a “spoiler” wave. Funko hasn’t announced a date for their products yet, and they haven’t even revealed everything yet, but Hasbro’s action figure three pack with the three Spider-Men is due next August, so I think that could be when we expect Lego to release some sets if we get any. It’d kind of line up with how we finally got proper Endgame sets about two years after the film released. I could see Lego just skipping any smaller sets and doing one D2C one, but I figured that I’d come up with ideas for three sets. Electro Forest Ambush ($30): This set recreates the scene where Spidey and Sandman team up against Electro in the forest. The builds would be a little power station (similar to the Gotham Power Plant builds from TLBM line) along with some power lines and a tree. You could have play features like the tree falling down or some electricity pieces popping up. The minifigures would include a reuse of the inside-out Spidey suit from the Drone Duel and new figures would include Sandman and Electro with a new element for the lightning around his face. Ideally, Lego would do the version of Electro with his jacket in this set but they’d probably just do his final battle outfit so they can use it in both sets. Spider-Man and Doc Ock Highway Showdown ($40): The builds of this set would be a small car and a bridge with some interstate signs that can break apart. A play feature could be to flick Spidey and crash through the interstate signs. New minifigures here would include Doc Ock, classic Green Goblin and an updated Iron Spider minifigure in a darker shade of red and with both dual molded legs and arm printing this time. We could also get Aunt May as the civilian to save here since she doesn’t fit in either of the other sets and we haven’t ever gotten an MCU Aunt May minifigure. She could probably just use reused minifigure elements but ideally she’d get a new face or torso print at least. EDIT: Right as I was typing this up, I found some MOCs that are exactly like what I was imagining for those two previous sets so I’ll leave a link here to that person’s playlist here. (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpWJxOx4whIGoDVS-EdiACK31uZJB6NeF) Statue of Liberty: Spider-Man Multiverse Battle ($250): This set would be in line with other recent Marvel D2Cs like the Daily Bugle or Sanctum Sanctorum. The build of the Statue of Liberty itself would probably be a scaled down version of The Lego Movie 2 version we got with some scaffolding around it. As extra little details around the Statue, there can be little syringes representing the different cures for the villains and there could be stickers representing the portals to the Grand Canyon and Midtown High science classroom. We could also get a brick-built Sandman here similar to the Giant Man build. I don’t know if a set like this would really have play features but there could be an option for the Statue to hold Cap’s Shield or you could have it on the ground for where Spidey and Green Goblin fight. Reused figures here would include Electro and Doc Ock from the previous sets, Integrated Suit Spidey (maybe with arm printing this time?) and Doctor Strange. New figures would include MJ (with a new torso print and her accessory could be Doctor Strange’s box using the Creeper head mold), Ned (just a new torso print for his varsity jacket), Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man/Peter 2 (with arm printing and dual molded legs), The Amazing Spider-Man/Peter 3 (with arm printing and dual molded legs), The Lizard (just recoloring the Lizard Suit figure) and upgraded Green Goblin with both hood and hair. All three Spider-Men would have extra heads and hair pieces.
  15. I mean, remakes aren’t inherently bad. In this case in particular, it’s been like 13+ years since we last had Indiana Jones sets on shelves. Versus some other themes that remake stuff every few years, I think remakes are entirely acceptable in this instance. Those original Indy sets go for crazy amounts now anyway and it makes sense for Lego to tackle a lot of the iconic scenes right out of the gate and if the theme lasts a while, then we can expect sets that were never made for the original line. Besides, a good remake improves upon the original or at least does something that sets it apart. And from the three remakes we know about, we know that they’re not only going to likely look better as modern builds, they’re also still going to be changing things up. Doing things like making more Indy variants, finally including characters like Sallah and substituting things from the original sets (replacing the Joneses’ plane with the car they steal in The Last Crusade set) are all examples of that.
  16. I finally finished Season Four and man, Lego would be sitting on a gold mine if they don’t do more Stranger Things sets. I’d like to see them make it a full-fledged theme instead of getting a scattered few every once in a while. Right off the top of my head, there’s like three or four sets that I could imagine Lego doing for this season, let alone if they went back to previous ones. Hell, a CMF series would sell like crazy.
  17. I’d love to get all of these in the next few years. I definitely think the U-Wing will show up in Andor, though probably not until Season 2, so I think we’ll definitely get a new one eventually. I also think The Ghost will show up in Ahsoka so I definitely could see us getting a new one in 2023 or 2024, though I’d love it if it came with all the main Rebels characters in their Season 3/4 outfits since we never got most of them. I can also definitely see Lego doing Ahsoka’s version to change things up a bit the next time they do a Jedi Interceptor, and also so they can do an updated version of Ahsoka in one of her earlier Clone Wars outifits. The other two are a little less likely unless they appear in something else, but I’d still love to see them and you never know if Lego could randomly throw them into a wave like the recent Grievous Starfighter or AT-TE.
  18. Sounds like we're going to have plenty of sets coming for Phase Five and Six (!!!) with all of the content coming. I can't wait to have waves for two Avengers films in 2025.
  19. I got a couple figures from Bricklink. From Rebels, I finally got Kanan (not the blind version or the black haired version), Chopper and Hera Syndulla. The latter figure seems to have gone up in price since that footage came out of her in the live-action Ahsoka series. I also threw in the most recent Hoth Han Solo figure as that’s a variant I didn’t have and I don’t have a lot of OT Han figures.
  20. I’m still a bit bummed that Freshmen Year won’t exactly be canon to MCU Peter Parker, especially as I was hoping to get the MCU Homemade suit here, but it still seems like it’ll be a fun show and man, there are some really cool character designs that I’d love to see in Lego form. That Daredevil outfit, as well as more comic-looking versions for characters like Strange and Doc Ock are great, plus getting new Spidey suits of course. I can definitely see Lego dedicating a wave to this show. I definitely think we’ll see sets for some of these other animated shows they’re talking about as well. What If?… Season 2 and X-Men ‘97 seem like they’ll get sets, though I doubt Zombies will with the TV-MA rating. Now that I think about it, with What If…? Season 2 coming out in the spring, there’s a non-zero chance it hogs a lot of the slots again in Marvel Series 2, assuming we get that next year. /:
  21. I don’t think it’s likely either. It’s a short-form anthology series and from the footage and images we’ve seen, it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of set potential. With all of the content coming out these days, it’s probably pretty low on the totem pole.
  22. Thank ya! I’d already updated it on my other platforms a couple months ago but I kept forgetting to do it here lol. The Hulkbuster coming in October sounds familiar but I can’t remember from where. I think the Sanctum was originally reported to be coming a few months earlier, so I wonder if it being released later has resulted in these other two D2Cs being pushed back. I think one or the other is coming this fall, and the other one will come in the spring maybe. Lego would probably want to space them out by more than a month.
  23. I doubt that both the Hulkbuster and $500 set will be released by the end of the year honestly. We've heard so little about either. One of them probably got pushed back to 2023.
  24. I feel like most of these rumored new characters will be reused. They’re making a new mold for Kuiil’s head so surely they’ll throw him into a microfighter or something next year. Ahsoka will likely be reused in a set based off her series. The Mythrol, which is the rumored character I’m most skeptical about because only Republic Studs has reported on it, is the only one I could see them leaving exclusive since there’s not a lot of sets he can be included in anyway and for reasons stated earlier, I don’t see them bringing the character back. I feel that a full interior is very likely. The set’s supposed to be minifigure-scale and with such a huge size and piece count, it would be very easy for them to include an interior. Even the play-scale Razor Crest included most of the ship’s rooms and details, so I’d be surprised if they skip out on it this time around.
  25. For me, a notable character would be one that’s either featured a lot in promotional material/other merchandise (like the Incinerator Stormtrooper) or appears in multiple episodes (like The Client). Most of those other characters only showed up once or will likely return in the future. For example, Pershing like you said and Mayfeld also comes to mind. I’m glad to supposedly be getting this figure but yeah, the whole situation with the actor really puts a damper on things. It’s part of the reason why a Frog Lady was higher on my wishlist for recurring characters, as the actress is unproblematic and it would have been cool to get two of her characters. (She was also the person physically portraying Kuiil.)
