  1. Yeah, I thought that looked strange too. The render definitely doesn’t have evil eyes but I guess we’ll have to wait and see more in-hand pictures/videos to tell if it’s supposed to have those eyes or not. Hearing that people have found them at Kohl’s makes me want to check mine on Friday. This kind of excitement with hunting for CMFs is going to disappear when the bags go away next year. ):
  2. As someone collecting every CMF series at this point, I was getting these anyway but watching just2good’s opening video earlier has made my interest in this series shoot up. It’s definitely a lot weaker than Series 21 and 22, but there’s still some charming figures to be found.
  3. Technically it wasn’t cancelled but HBO Max wants nothing to do with it now. It could still end up on Netflix or something.
  4. Even though I prefer getting more sets based off the new content coming out (along with some new prequel sets sprinkled in as that was the smallest part of my Star Wars collection for a while), I’d still like to see more waves like the summer 2020 where there was something for everybody. There were sets for OT, PT/TCW, ST, Mando and even Galaxy’s Edge fans. The Galaxy’s Edge set was obviously a one-off but that was the last wave that really had any ST sets that weren’t 4+ junk. It’s just a bit of a bummer, even if those films weren’t everyone’s cup of tea. For 18+ sets, they could do a better version of Snoke’s Throne Room, the Luke vs Kylo Ren scene or the Force Ghost Yoda scene. For normal playsets, they could do the Resistance escape transports, Tallie’s A-Wing and a Ski Speeder remake without all the side builds. Maybe also a proper First Order AT-ST too.
  5. Found and bought the new AT-TE at Target! I happened to be looking at the Target app and it said that the Target in town had “limited availability” of the set just like my Target back home did when I found the Fighter Tank last weekend. Once I had the time, I headed straight to Target and didn’t see the set at first until I looked past the Star Wars section, where there were three or four brand new ones amidst some other, random sets. I wasn’t planning on getting this set for a little while as I wanted to buy and build it during my birthday weekend next month, but I didn’t want to risk not being able to find it once I get closer to my birthday. I’ll still save it until then but man, I’m so glad to have found it.
  6. I am so lost as to what this set could possibly be at this point. I have 0 interest in buying a $500 Marvel set if it’s not Avenger’s Tower or a Helicarrier, and I’m not even sure if I’d be super interested in the latter. Fortunately, that saves me a lot of money lol. I never thought the NWH final battle would be done as a $500 set and as of right now, it probably won’t be done at any size until next August or beyond. If it’s a vehicle, there’s not much to choose from. The Hulkbuster is already another set. A UCS Quinjet wouldn’t have worked as a $500 set. A UCS Milano is the only possible thing I could think of, probably not even the Benatar as Lego just made a large D2C-esque version last summer. It *could* be one of Thanos’ ships but are they really that iconic? Regardless, I think I’m ready to write this year off as a very “meh” one for the theme. There were a handful of good sets and good minifigures (unfortunately, there were also a lot of good minifigures in bad sets and bad minifigures in good sets, but such is the way of things with Lego Super Heroes), but overall, it’s a massive step-down from how great 2021 was for the theme. I think it’s crazy that Lego did more for the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter (which might I remind you, was essentially dead in the water for like half of those years), while Lego did nothing to celebrate Marvel, one of the biggest brands on the planet. I doubt the Hulkbuster and $500 set will both even come out this year. Still, a better year that what DC had, yeesh.
  7. Same here. I generally like the ST (mostly just TFA and TLJ, though I don’t necessarily hate TROS despite being disappointed in it) but since I got a majority of the sets that came out with the movies, and even one of the two Resistance sets, there’s not a lot left from that era left on my wishlist. It’s mostly just minifigures, and then maybe a few revamped versions of a couple of the existing sets, that I really still want from those films at this point. Like I’m amazed that we didn’t get more Leia variants, Luke Skywalker in his Crait outfit, Ben Solo (which I have a purist custom of but still) and most surprisingly, no Palpatine. I think same could be said for Rogue One and Solo too. I enjoyed Rogue One and I’m probably the biggest Solo fanboy on this forum (I actually own a “Make Solo 2 Happen” t-shirt), but I feel like those films were pretty well covered with their initial waves. The only glaring omissions to me are the lack of minifigures for L3-37, Dryden Vos, Galen Erso and Saw Gerrera. Aside from a few set remakes like the U-Wing or Imperial Hovercraft, there’s not much left to do from those films besides battle packs for those glorious Shore, Death and Mudtroopers. Definitely. All of the Mando sets so far have been fantastic except for that Trouble on Tatooine one.
  8. Yeah, that’s about what I’m expecting. Maybe more, maybe less. I also think this has been a pretty good year for the theme, though I could say the same for the last two years. In spite of how sucky the 2020s have been overall, I think it’s been a great time to be a Lego Star Wars fan. I think I own most of the non-4+ playsets from the last few years (aside from this recent wave which I haven’t started to collect yet) and a handful of the 18+ ones as well. I’ve found Fighter Tanks out in the wild at two different Targets recently, after never having seen the set out on store shelves. I only got one but I want to get another one eventually. Looks like they’re starting to become less scarce. The Clone Command Station, on the other hand, I don’t think I’ve seen at any Lego Store and I’ve hardly seen it available online. I’ve found the Hoth one many times however. Fortunately, I ordered three of the Command Stations when they first became available early this year, but it took like a month for me to receive them. It sucks because I’d like to get a couple more but who knows when they’ll be available again. I’ll probably just buy more of the plain clones loose in the meantime. This is why I don’t think it was a good idea for Lego to have battle packs, sorry “accessory sets”, as Shop@Home/Lego Store exclusives.
  9. Yep! I got Ezra and Sabine in the Ezra Speeder Bike set off of eBay and I got the rest of the crew off of Bricklink a couple weeks ago. I also got halfway through rebuilding the Ghost before having to leave for college, hopefully I’ll be able to finish that and the Phantoms when I come back in a couple weeks! I also spotted another Republic Fighter Tank out in the wild on Thursday. I passed on it for now but I definitely want to get a second one eventually. I couldn’t find any copies of this set for like three months but now I’ve found it at two different Targets within a week of each other, so hopefully they’re going to start being more readily available soon.
  10. Surely Lego will include Saw in a set if we get more Andor sets in 2HY, it’s getting kind of ridiculous how much they’ve dodged releasing that figure. I can’t imagine why they’re doing that, but “Bor Gullet will know the truth.” Unless they do a brick-built Rancor, I’m not sure if Lego will go back and do a TBOBF set including one. It’d make sense to rerelease the molded one in a set while the show is still fresh, but we’re going to be about a year out from the show’s release by the time 2HY 2023 news comes in and there are so many new projects that will be out or almost out by that time. I think Promobricks said that there could be additional figures in the TIE Bomber but I don’t want to get my hopes up after that lacking selection in the 2021 Imperial Shuttle. Hell, I’d rather get Ozzel and/or Piett in this set instead of another Vader, but I’d imagine that I’m in the minority on that one. It just occurred to me that with how prominently Mon Mothma has been featured in Andor’s promotional material, it’s kinda surprising that she wasn’t included in a set. She seems to be the co-lead of the series and it’s not like her role will be a surprise like Grogu, Omega or young Leia. Then again, Ahsoka and Rex were essentially the co-leads of TCW Season 7, which got four sets with two Ahsokas and not one Rex.
  11. I guess I partially got this one right too, but in reality, the Speeder Bike chase definitely won't be a small playset and it's not coming in the summer like I was speculating. Thanks! It was admittedly one of my safer guesses but I'll take what I can get I suppose. Well fortunately, I think we could hope for more non-OT diorama sets next year since they ran through the first two OT movies last year and a lot of ROTJ this year. At least a part of the Council Chambers would be great, as would any of the duels from the prequel films. I'm throwing my hat in the ring and guessing next year's May the 4th promo will be similar to this year's Aunt Beru one and will include Shmi Skywalker. Kinda like how Lego has been doing those Women History Month tie-in sets the last two years, I could see Lego doing something similar with Star Wars but for characters that can't easily be thrown into sets.
  12. Well, I got 1 of my predictions 100% correct with the Boba Microfighter and a few of my helmet-related ones I got somewhat right. I guessed that one of the helmets could be either Boussh, which may be the retail exclusive helmet, or a clone helmet, which we’re technically getting two of though I was expecting just a plain clone. I’m honestly a little surprised that Lego isn’t doing a Bo-Katan helmet to tie-in with Season 3 which will be airing around the same time. The lack of Andor sets in the first half of next year is disappointing but I hope Lego will follow a similar approach to Mando Season 2 or TCW Season 7 and have multiple sets for us in the summer wave. I still think the Stinger Mantis is likely at some point next year, though it would have been perfect timing to release it in March to tie in with Survivor’s reported release date but I digress. I think at this point we’ll just have to accept that Lego is only going to do like one Bad Batch set a year. We’ll probably get a Phase Two Rex minifig at some point if Lego’s doing a helmet set and doing another 501st battle pack.
  13. I have mixed feelings about this list of sets so far. 75344 is the only prediction I got right so far lmao. Boba Fett and his Firespray as a Microfighter seems like a no brainer following his show and it’s a ship we’ve never really gotten as a Microfighter before. (Aside from a rare convention exclusive set that technically wasn’t even a Microfighter set.) 75345 being a 212th Battle Pack seemed like another no brainer in my eyes, but it’s going to be another 501st one? The 501st is my favorite clone legion and I love the 2020 501st set (I literally have ten built copies of it, plus a few additional clones I got separately), and I admit that it’s really cool that it’s going to be based on the more specialized clones from my beloved Battlefront 2 (RIP). That being said, did we really need another 501st set so soon? I love that Lego is doing clone battle packs again, but this was probably one of the least interesting choices they could have gone with in my eyes. Like there’s literally a clone-centric show that’s running right now that Lego is doing the bare minimum for. Imagine getting a battle pack with more Coruscant Guard and plain Phase Two clones, or one with Clone Commandos. Not technically clone troopers, but Crosshair’s Elite Squad Troopers or the TK Troopers would have been awesome as well. I still think we could get a 212th army builder in the form of an Accessory Set next year, which is annoying because of how hard to find the Clone Command Station already is. I just don’t know why Lego is being so stingy with their battle packs recently. I imagine it’s because they had quite a few lame ones (like Jedi/Clone Troopers or the Tatooine ones) or ones that you couldn’t really army build (like the Bounty Hunter or Praetorian Guard ones) for a couple years, and the poor sales of those sets made Lego dial it back on the proper battle packs, and also compelled them to start doing more pseudo-battle packs like the Dark Trooper set. For all my grumbling, I’ll still probably get multiples of this new 501st battle pack, but it’s still somewhat of a disappointing pick. The figures sound cool at least. I was way off with 75347. I was guessing/hoping for a Captain Rex Y-Wing but instead it’s a TIE Bomber. I honestly never really got the hype for the Bomber, but it is one of the few non-MBS Original Trilogy sets they could make at this point that would interest me. The minifigure selection is extremely dull though, especially if this ship shows up in Andor or one of the other new pieces of content that could’ve given this set a much more desirable line-up. 75349 and maybe 75350 are the first two helmet sets that I feel somewhat compelled to buy since I got the Stormtrooper one in late 2020, which I was kinda underwhelmed by. I don’t know if I’ll end up getting them though. 75352 Death Star Throne Room Diorama is a snooze fest. I’m still satisfied with the 2015 Final Duel, which was actually one of my first Lego Star Wars sets. The 2020 one was mostly just a copy and paste, and I imagine this one will be exactly the same except with less play features and one of their “18+” black bases. 75353 is something I’d probably get, but it definitely makes me roll my eyes that this easily could have just been a $30 playset. All you really need is the two speeder bikes and a tree or two. This will probably be a little bit of a nicer display piece, but a lot of the piece count is going towards that base and the 18+ branding. It is exciting to get more Endor sets regardless and I think it’s kinda neat that the diorama sets last year were all ANH and ESB based, while this year will tie in with the ROTJ 40th anniversary. 70355 probably isn’t going to be a set for me, but 75346 and 75348 are exciting for a big Mandalorian fan such as myself. Overall, it’s a very mixed wave for me. I’ll definitely get the Microfighter, Mandalorian-based sets and multiples of the new 501st BP. I’ll probably get the TIE Bomber and Endor Speeder set for a discount. The Cody and especially the Rex helmets are a maybe. The lack of more Fallen Order/Survivor, Andor and Bad Batch sets is disappointing, but chances are we’ll get that stuff anyway during 2HY. I hope we get at least more OWK set if only to get figures of Obi-Wan in one of his other two outfits, young Leia and Lola, but that might not end up happening.
  14. Imperial.Spy/Fulcrum just posted a picture of Phase 1 Cody’s helmet? I don’t know if this is going to be a helmet set (I think doing a Phase Two Rex and Phase One Cody at the same time would be an odd choice) or a minifigure (which Fulcrum incorrectly reported we’d be getting one this year), so I don’t know what to expect. Edit: Now he’s saying that he’s not sure which phase the helmet is.
  15. Reposting this, as this is what I’d ideally like to see. In retrospect, I should have accounted for more of those OT diorama sets and it looks like one of those helmet sets will be Rex, but otherwise this would be my dream 1HY wave.
  16. I know, but I feel like January-July all went by insanely fast. And in terms of Lego specifically, I can’t believe we’re already getting into 2023 rumors since we’ve seen or gotten most of this year’s sets at this point. I’m eager to see this set list. I’m going to hope that it’s not another boring January wave of OT remakes and Lego is going to continue keeping up with the new releases, or at least doing less common stuff from pre-existing content like more PT, Rebels, etc. sets. As for the Rex helmet, that might be one of the few helmet sets that would interest me at this point. I think it’s another tangential piece of evidence, on top of that new clone helmet mold, that we can expect to get a new Phase Two Rex at some point next year. So far, Lego hasn’t done any helmet sets of characters that weren’t easily available either before or after the helmet’s release.
  17. Can't believe how fast this year has gone by... Aside from actually getting set pictures, this is probably the most fun part of the year for Lego rumors because we don't really know much yet and that makes it more exciting to get news drip-fed to us. Anything's on the table right now. For stuff that seems pretty likely, we can probably expect: -At least one set for ROTJ's 40th anniversary next year. -A lot of sets based on the new content: Mando season 3, Andor, Ahsoka, The Bad Batch and Skeleton Crew. I hope we get at least more OWK set, and more Fallen Order/Survivor stuff also seems somewhat likely to me after that BD-1 set. My biggest questions is if we'll get 4+ sets for Young Jedi Adventures? I feel like we'll start getting some solid rumors any day now.
  18. Mythrol will probably just use that Monster Fighters Swamp Monster mold, or something similar, over his head. It just didn’t get leaked with the rest of the figure. So far, our minifigure selection seems to be at least one version of Mando, Grogu, Greef Carga, Kuill, The Mythrol and maybe Ahsoka. Optimistically, I’d guess that leaves us like two more slots, if any, so unless we get an IG-11 or Cara Dune reuse, I’m still keeping fingers crossed for Mayfeld and Frog Lady.
  19. Shoutout to another user on this forum, @Kim-Kwang-Seok for my latest LEGO haul. He originally reached out to me about selling some of his used Star Wars Rebels sets because he knew I was a big fan of the series, and my motivation for acquiring these has increased due to my excitement for the live-action Ahsoka series. He gave me an amazing deal on a bunch of Lego Star Wars sets and figures, about $170 for everything plus shipping from Austria to the US. As for sets, he sent me his modified versions of 75053 The Ghost, including the rare Zeb minifigure (SW0575), and both versions of the Phantom (75048 and 75170). He also threw in a bunch of extra minfigures, some of which are modified, many of which are new to my collection: Twenty plain Battle Droids. (SW0001 B and C) Four Super Battle Droids. (SW0092) One Commando Droid captain (SW0448) and two plain Commando Droids. (SW0359) One Battle Droid Commander. (SW0415) Two Battle Droid Pilots. (SW0300 and SW0065) Two older style Geonosis Battle Droids (SW0061) and one newer style Geonosis Battle Droid. (SW0467B) One 2007 327th Clone Trooper. (SW0128A) One 2013-style plain Phase 1 Clone Trooper. (SW0442) One 41st Elite Corps Clone Trooper. (SW0519) One Phase 2 Clone Gunner. (SW0837) Two 2013-style 501st Clone Troopers (SW0445) and two 2020-style 501st troopers (SW1094). Four 2014-style 212th Clone Troopers (SW0522) and three 2014-style 212th Airborne Troopers. (SW0523) Five older-style Stormtroopers. (x1 SW0366 and x4 SW00036) One Sandtrooper without backpack or paldron. (SW0960) Four Rebels style Stormtroopers. (SW0578) One Old Republic trooper (SW0440 with angry clone face), along with an OR Sith Trooper helmet. Two Bith figures. (SW0554 with plain torsos) An older style Gamorrean Guard. (SW0075 with brown arms) Chopper. (SW0565)
  20. Yeah, I noticed that as well. I definitely think we’ll see more of Cad Bane and Fennec this season, especially after TBOBF, so it makes the set choice a little less confusing. I want to say that 75303 is either a skipped set number or a cancelled set. The only other Star Wars set we could expect to get this year is maybe a promo to go with the Razor Crest, but that set number would be with the other promotional sets I believe.
  21. I was planning on going all month without buying any Lego, but I finally found a Republic Fighter Tank at Target so I had to snag one. They also had like sixteen of Mando’s N-1 funnily enough.
  22. I didn’t post it on Reddit, but I was one of those people who got Boba’s Palace for stupidly low price at Costco. 😂 I got two copies of that set for $60 each and two additional copies of the Dark Trooper Attack (I already had one at the time) for $18 each. I built bigger and better version of both sets with all those pieces, and was happy to have extras of a lot of those figures. Same here. I mainly just want the exclusive figures (and wouldn’t say no to extras of helmeted Fennec and Hunter) because I’m unsure if we’ll get those specific figures in other sets and the three exclusive ones are going for like $30-50 each currently. I have like $190 worth of points saved up. If it weren’t for the fact that I’m saving my VIP points to get a discount on the UCS Star Destroyer before it retires, I’d just use them towards The Justifier. Whatever points I get from the UCS Star Destroyer, plus the UCS Razor Crest any other big Lego purchases I plan on making early next year, will help me save a little. Same. When I heard that Lego were bringing back battle packs, and also doing accessory sets now, I thought the smart approach would be to make the army builders more widely available as regular battle packs and let the Accessory Sets fill the role of the less massable battle packs with named characters, like the Bounty Hunter one or the Jedi/Clone Trooper one. In the case of the Command Station specifically: I think it’s crazy that after seeing the success of the 501st Clone Trooper set, Lego decided to make their next clone army building set something you can only get on Shop@Home or at their physical stores. And that’s only if you were lucky to find it in stock the handful of times it was available. Sure, it’s made a profit for them, but imagine how much more money they could have made if they just released it as a normal wide-release battle pack.
  23. FYI for those looking to get a deal on The Scythe in the US, it’s shown up at some Costco locations for 20% off retail. I’ve also seen some people finding The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle there for even bigger discounts, so be sure to keep an eye out.
  24. Yep, Mudtroopers have been rumored to appear for a while and I think they show up in the first trailer. Same for Shoretroopers, so hopefully Lego makes it easy to army build those troops in the next year or two. Yeah, that’s the worst part about getting all this content. There’s multiple things I want from each new project, but only so many sets Lego can put out in a year. Plus they still got to throw in some sets based off the older films/shows too. (As tired as I am of most OT sets and remakes, they obviously sell.)
  25. Reportedly, that is the big reason, as well as it not being “theatrical” enough and not fitting with the new-new vision for DC going forward. I keep seeing bad test screenings being cited as a big reason for the cancellation, but I’ve been following the film for a while and it seems like it would have been an okay movie. I was actually somewhat looking forward to it, even though I dislike the direction this film franchise was supposed to go after The Flash. This whole situation is just a massive middle finger to all the cast and crew that worked hard on this project, and something that should be treated as a big deal like Michael Keaton’s return to the role has been massively squandered.
