+1. Pretty sure those headrest piece (quite creative part usage actually) come in black. That would look pretty good on the far right one.

[TC19] - Hybrid (2WD)

This is really really good. The way the functions have been incorporated whilst keeping the width in control is quite impressive, the front end especially. -
I like it! Well done for making a B model out of the Chiron set, you don’t see much of that, for good reason too. The roof mechanism is awesome, it works very smoothly. I think it could be possible to make an all dark blue version by swapping out the dark azure. Most of the parts are available in dark blue. The flex hoses could easily be changed to rigid ones, and I’m sure there’s a few work around for the other pieces. That would look very good I think.

I did think of that, but figured it was worth the trade off. Given all the flex axles in the rear, I like the idea of keeping the front ones as is. It keeps the style/flow the same. I guess the official LEGO solution would be to cover the black area with a lime sticker? I like your small intake addition too

I like the top half of the bike. For me the bottom looks way to wide, the bike wouldn’t be able to corner very well as it would scrape the ground too easily -

This model is amazing! Very cool seeing your design process for the model too. -

This is super cool. Very creative idea!! I like the smaller snakes in the handlebars too. -
Because higher quantity always means higher quality... Its no surprise they sell more. Like I said already people only need 1 set to make them so it’s appealing. Understandable not everyone has the time/budget to get all the parts required for a MOC. It just seems your goal is to turn 42115 into a 10 in 1 set, or make models that sell more, vs making the best model you can. But if that’s what you prefer I’ll respect that, not everyone has the same goals when making LEGO and that’s ok.

Agreed, some more photos would be good, be nice to see what the interior looks like too. That said, the shifting mechanism with the rear wing is ingenious. One of the most innovative things I think I’ve seen on a model. Now I get the appeal with B-models... more people will be able to make the model, it’s cheaper as you only need 1 set, you don’t have to buy extra parts from BrickLink, and it provides an extra challenge in only using the pieces you are given. However I feel like some of your best models are the ones were you don’t limit yourself to a certain set of parts (Ford GT mk1 for example). This model suffers with some of the details, and I feel like you could make an epic version of this car if you let yourself use any LEGO parts you wanted.

True, but the main concern is that if the whole chassis changes then I won’t be able to attach the bodywork in the same way I have here. Hmmm, Zonda R has been done before too. Either way I’m not too fussed, I’d rather try and make my own version of something before someone else’s anyway. I guess colours just personal preference, I feel all black hides the details more and there’s not many sets I can use as a base, so I’d have to BrickLink a lot more parts. This is what I was kinda thinking: https://images.app.goo.gl/CKee3n4biPppXfhM7 https://images.app.goo.gl/6kwzRBrUDJjMKCnN8

Agreed. Due to the complex shapes in this model and the lack of parts in dark azure I found it really hard to build the bodywork as seperate modules, resorting to attaching lots of individual section straight to the chassis. Not having to worry about massive opening boots or bonnets meant I could easily get away with that as well... After gaining the experience in building this, I was honestly half tempted to try and rework the chassis of this model to include more functions. But since the bodywork being built as it is I’m scared I wouldn’t be able to get the model back to this state if I striped it all off... I wouldn’t mind trying a Pagani, maybe in lime/black. I really like the aero flaps and the opening clamshells with the gullwing doors.

Thankyou, glad you both like it! Thanks! Yes, agreeable this is really nothing different. It looks different but apart from the parking feature it’s pretty much all your usual stuff with a different shell over it all. Glad you noticed the rear lights! They were the perfect part for this model. That and the trans black flags in the doors are my favourite part usage in the model, both of which I haven’t seen done before.
