A polybag with DA props would be nice, though a pack would be more appropriate for that. I might use the advent calendars as someone suggested. I hope no one that bought the older DA recently feels robbed, your whole setup will turn out amazing!

Also, I think the set is lacking more capes and cloth pieces, IMO that’s part of the magic! Oh and legprints. On a different note, what are the white pieces under the blue quill in Scribbulus? (Shot with Hermione and Ron)

Okay, out of curiosity... if you could add/change 3 things to this set, what would it be? Mine: 1. Add more alley props to make it look funkier (animals, signs, boxes, you name it) 2. Add arthur with his wizard hat 3. Give lockhart a new hairpiece

This set is beautiful, no doubt I will be getting it. However, I’m not feeling the minifigures so far; clearer pictures might change my opinion. I don’t know if they look dull, or repetitive, or lacking detail... can’t say. The year 1 harry might appear in either a polybag, a GWP or a book that focuses exclusively on DA?

Irrelevant to the current discussion, but the Patil twins reuse the same dual sided head a la Fred & George from 2011. I thought they were going to be different heads with no 2nd printing, so it’s better like this. Edit: @Accio Lego beat me to it XD

If we get those two on top of the 16-20 we’ve been speculating about, then yeah bring ‘em on. Those two have the potential of either being a welcome surprise or a dreaded inclusion

I get your point. Has lego ever done a series 3 for a licensed theme? There were definitely some odd choices in this 2nd series, it’s as if they were spacing out releases to have some more years of HP by giving us fillers of some kind (not saying they were bad though) It will be interesting to see this theme go beyond 2021, I wonder if they will revisit the movies but this time filling in the gaps. 1: forbidden corridor, 2: chamber of secrets, 3: Shrieking shack, etc. It would be like the 2018 reboot in a parallel universe

I hope 18 minimum. The inclusion of these obscure characters is worrying me (they might only be like 3 I know) accurate and all but I don’t care much for them.

14 minifigs... fake list obviously. I’m putting my trust in lego to not be that stingy (anxious smile) Besides the trio, I think Lucius, Draco, Lockhart, Molly, Arthur, Ginny and heck, even the photographer are crucial to the F&B scene, more so if the description by lego says “book signing event”. That’s 10 minifigures so far. Now the obvious guesses are Hagrid, the leaked Florean and Ollivander. 13 figures. But oh, WWW is included as well, so Fred and George are a given. Did I read love potions? First encounter of Hermione with McLaggen, same for Ron with Lavender. Without 2nd variants, that sums 17 characters. And if the photographer is too irrelevant, then we might get Rita instead.

I think it’s better like this. I’d rather have a complete Gringotts with a gorgeous facade, detailed interior and the vaults, cartwheels and dragon. All that wouldn’t have been possible in DA. Plus, no Gringotts at all gave them opportunity to really squeeze the potential out of the other shops, so I’m happy.

Well that next year-thing is an educated assumption, but it’s not confirmed after all. LEGO isn’t a stranger to teasing the next waves with one set anyway. (PoA based Hogwarts express in 2018) Huh, for some reason I believed the set wouldn’t be called Diagon Alley (not because of kingnono) so the obvious reason definitely didn’t cross my mind haha.
