The book sets are available in my city, specifically in a department store I have a coupon for, might pick up the Gryffindor one but I hope I don’t regret getting just the figure later on

Rita, GoF Lucius, GoF Tonks, Barty Crouch Sr, Crabbe and Goyle with dual expressions in mid transformation (polyjuice) Duel Lockhart, Molly Weasley from CoS (hair with the two buns) Yule Ball Ginny, HBP Narcissa, Amos Diggory, Wedding Bill Weasley, Wedding Fleur, and the trio in their wedding attires I guess?

Even though I’m not big on ships, the Durmstrang one is beautiful and I’d love to see how they pull it off, I hate the original one but their standards have changed so much.
-
Yup, everything lego-freak said. Community managers don’t need to know about upcoming sets until the release date is near (because they plan their posts in advance, like a month or two maybe?) They surely have meetings or are constantly given new info. Maybe it works differently for a top company like lego though.

The Gryffindor and Ravenclaw books could be used as common rooms TBH.
-
I really want that set to happen too, but I doubt it’s coming next year. It’s a chance for LEGO to finally give Fleur, Cedric and Krum their own face prints. EDIT: I forgot Fleur has a new one already, unless that was originally intended for Phoebe

No, but I’ve gotten a majestic and marvelous black dragon, similar to the maleficent one.

Honestly same! The book sets will do for the older movies. I’d really like to see a small Godric’s Hollow set with Bathilda Bagshot and Nagini. That Hermione variant would be awesome, though I doubt they’d nail her as it won’t be CMF quality. A malfoy mannor or at least just the interior sounds exciting as well. I don’t care much about the lovegood house but I’d reeeally like a Shell Cottage, even if there wasn’t much action going on in there. The possibilities!

Exactly my thoughts. You could get something non-lego that probably looks a lot better for a lot less, not everything you buy needs to be apple, I mean lego; I, for one would. The SW and beatles ones hit different though. EDIT: By non-lego I didn’t mean knockoff, but rather no building blocks whatsoever.

I hadn’t realized this is more expensive than Diagon Alley, yikesss.
-
You beat me to it.

Thanks guys!

Oh yeah, and honestly seeing not-so-clear images was fun sometimes, making out details and new pieces. (I remember when the monster fighters figures placed in a circular manner leaked ) Then crappy bootlegs happened Oh, looks like this snail is finally a count after 9 years, yay
-
Well that’s true, but covid aside, the good old days where lego sets were revealed properly at toy fairs were spectacular. A few days ago I searched for the 2010 HP thread out of pure nostalgia, what a jewel.
-
The wait for this year’s leaks was such a torture :D I miss the old leak patterns. Can’t believe we’re almost a month away from 2021 ?
-
Exactly my thoughts! Lmao At this point I think common room sets are very possible, guys ? Pretty sure they check Eurobricks now more than ever.
-
Lovely, makes me want to be dining there. That statue is so out of this world
-
Yeah I don’t care about anything FB, but they gave us some neat pieces, specially that thestral.
-
You have a point, common rooms would’ve made much more sense. I hope we get them in the future developed in a similar manner (not in book form exactly, but something different) When the room of requirement was first rumoured, it made it seem as though the walls could actually be transformed, and that sounded like a neat idea. We need some more of that, it’s Harry Potter we’re talking about. I think it’s not just about which sets or locations we could be missing, but HOW they develop and present them. Maybe I’m just rambling but I hope I got the point across
-
I don’t really care about the art set, but neither do I care about any other non-regular minifigure set, to be fair. These books have a very classic Harry Potter vibe to them, I’d be more than happy if they could keep that up with the upcoming waves.
-
They could do her GoF appeareance, Ginny’s wavy hair kinda fits TBH. I just don’t know where they’d put it... Agreed. Four more years and two more CMF is actually a lot, I just hope they cover everything in the end. My main concern is buying *almost* every set that comes out for the sake of not missing out on them, and finding myself in a never-ending journey And once the theme dies, think “I could’ve skipped this one and this one”.
-
Exactly! Phew, I feel more relieved of spilling that out. LOTR was the last theme I collected before the dark ages took over, and HP got me out of it. Still, there’s something not magical about a theme lasting too long and getting too many remakes. I would rather see fewer sets with worthy minifigures than bla bla bla disloyalty... quality over quantity basically.
-
I will make sure to not get too pumped up about new inclusions, I always expect them to be given a special treatment and they end up having inaccurate hairpieces and reused faces Also, I lowkey wish this theme doesn’t go on for way too long ? Or I could just skip several sets.
-
The price of these books in my country is plain ridiculous. Either picking them up on sale or not picking them up at all. I like lego but this is too much.
-
Man I really like the transfiguration, charms and potions classrooms, I’m just not thaat pumped about the minifigures even though we’re getting some updates. Snape’s new torso though... that’s an odd update.
